Our pressing is not okay from the attack. Two or all three should be doing that. Only one does it in last three games

Nice start.

The emergence of Zinch has made Xhaka to play something similar to what he plays for Switzerland. He's no more with the burden of last man tackles even ifhe still does that for the team. Arteta was hilarious in a sweet way by bringing in Tierney. Like, Zinch was still on o grin

Our first test of teamplay will be vs Fulham. If we walk them over without a goal, then i will say we are ready to get points from our biggest rivals(City and Liverpool)

That bolded no be lie. I feel most people viewing Mou as arrogant and whatnot is just what he's showing to the press but if one gets to know him, you'll know most of the perception of him might be false..

I was surprised Lacazette still didn't improve on his movements inside the box after that conversation with the coach, instead his confidence even waned more. Infact, all what he was known for even disappeared weeks before he was finally dropped.

I believe Arteta will win more major trophy with us. He really deserved it too much. Hopefully we'll start with uel this season cool
Every bad game, Arteta will say

"Dont worry guys, i will defend you." When going to meet the press.

I smell Wengerness in that. grin

As for Mou's own, I'll hope on it once it comes out. I also expect some favs to have a low rating when we see secrets we aren't really privy to.

Media have started their crappy stats already....

Spain would be a tough nut to crack
They will be the first real test of our defence line if we beat Netherlands. As for midfield, see as Mexico colet am right from the first whistle.

My fear is Alani vs Salma cry

I doubt Alani can stop her. Mexico had just one weakness-finishing. Nothing special about that Spanish defence to be honest. But those girls can pass ball so accurately and we better not allow them do so close to our box.

This Mexican team are playing better than what Falcons played at Wafcon. My my.

some of the strikers and plalyers are 17 years old which is very bad for an U20 competitions..

We need 19 years old to play even if the 17 years old are trying.. that Okwuchukwu is 17 years old and she missed many chances, she doesn't have the confidence that Flourish Sabastine has unless she was just unlucky...

Gift Monday is 20 years old... why she isn't in this competition is an abomination...
Gift would have made this attack click o. The girls call Danjuma "baba" grin

Lol. Okwu is good with hold up, something similar to what Laca was doing for Arsenal last season, but no end product in box. Can't even figure her shots at goal or target yet.

He needs to be shooting more and more. He gets into dangerous positions and many times we have seen him choose to pass instead of shooting.
That's the thing. I see him in spaces that all he needs is to just volley the ball to the net, no need for any curve. But he hesitates. Hopefully, he gets more ruthless

Of all the Arsenal players, Ode understands his tactics the best. That's why he made him the captain. You will noticed he mostly beckons to Ode during match.
That's true. Partey does too. Looks like Tiele is still inching close o.

You are right. I love the competition though.
If we can just get Ndidi, its over. I dunno why they skip him. He will just play pure DM and make Partey to play a CM role easily. Infact expect a direct connect between him and Jesus from long range, and goals.

This November WC will affect the EPL definitely. Hopefully, key players don't injure prior or during.

I really want Gabi J to score that ball. But i settle with the fact that Odegaard is scoring two goals with his first touch in the box. A big problem las season, now different. Huge!!

I don't see anything the coaches did wrong sha in showing Laca Benzema movt and positioning to learn from him. What I meant was that Laca was too involved in buildup neglecting that he'll need to be in the box to strike. Why I'm even saying the "old dog new tricks stuff" Is because that's what Laca have been doing for the greater part of his career and it'll be difficult to just change it suddenly

You know, I was thinking someone will say that bolded and I didn't wait for long grin

Can one control one's emotions when temperaments is running high and one needs to talk his mind in heat of the moment? Will you be thinking of motivation when you're under pressure (something that's you're not accustomed to) and really angry just because of camera?
Omo, I don't know how that works oo Tbh..

Well, I don't think he really had any issues with Odegaard sha. In fact, they'll have been in very good terms for him to be handed the captaincy armband before the end of the season
Same here. I felt that was necessary sef. He needed to see Benzema. The actual tactics will definitely not get to be part of this AON anyways. This AON will make people really love Mou more, especially if we see his Inter Milan days. Sotey field maintenance dey weep on the day he was leaving for good.

I see Arteta ending up like that next decade with major honors

That lil argument between Saka and Xhaka was against Everton first leg. What's surprising me was that Arteta was insisting we attack, Saka was insisting on attack and pushing the ball forward, Xhaka was also saying same thing yet the 2nd half we still park the bus... Na wa ooo grin

And as for the Laca issue, it's good the coaches noticed how Laca was not getting into scoring positions and was trying to help him. But then, he's 30yrs so it's difficult to teach old dog a new trick I guess
I sometimes feel this is why he majorly had issues with the top 3 oldest players in the squad. He came with a Mentality that they must bend and be rigid. It can't work. Funny enough, they know you want to win, and can prove their loyalty to you differently from the rigid approach that the youngsters don't have a problem with. Like, these guys weren't finished yet now.

Las las, he's the coach, but this fact remains that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. We are seeing some of this issue with cr7 at man u. It's earning him insults. His own is even worse than the Emirates trio.

I expected he will be very harsh after some defeats, but he was rather motivating. But I also knew they're just showing us what they want us to see. The cameras and CCTV is making them more disciplined and professional. It is paying off.

I haven't seen one episode where he has an issue or discussion with Odegaard. I don't get that though.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 9:59am On Aug 19, 2022
All or nothing episode 8 out now.

So far, I've been able to see who the defeats aftects the most and those that the Manager's ginger impacts the most.

Ramsdale hates the defeats and conceding. Like he puts loads of blame on himself

Martinelli is the one that Arteta's ginger affects the most. His performance vs Liverpool says it all

As for the midfield, nothing much really.

I see he really rates Ben White well.

I recall the lil argument between Saka and Xhaka after one loss. Saka complained about the ball mot reaching them, while Xhaka complained about the attack being so bland. grin

A lot has changed.

The development coach was encouraging Laca to be more involved in the box than the build up and it showed that he couldn't fill Auba's shoes, especially with the style he's used too, and as Ozil kind of player no dey again. It revealed that it wasn't simply Arteta's instructions las las, but a necessity he wanted to fill cos of Arteta's rule of helping each other.

still we muvvvvvv.......
Abi is it about height ni. All our forwards are not that tall or good aerially. Except they are hiding it, which i doubt. That Idoko foul that led to pk showed signs of a good header.

Seeing they improved on the crosses, i expect they'll fo same for the finishing.
