You think he's hiding tactics? Conceding cheap goals isn't encouraging at all...

Well only time will tell....
I agree that its cheap. But even that aside, the fact the goal came from setpiece is concerning. I hope that central attack is solved.

There's literally no team in all european leagues right now that doesn't know we are terrible down the middle/non existent when attacking.

Even the control this team has been synonymous with has been lacking so far...the midfield seems pedestrian undecided undecided undecided
i prefer to believe they're just being cautious. I think that's why Odegaard is not playing. Same for Rice and Zubi. But the players themselves should work for the new 14 abeg. White can locate him from halfway line yet he never looks up

Im loving Villareal sleek passing. E be like they watch Wengerball that year. I hope Gyoke score this game. The consciousness of 14 needs to start early. I pray he clicks vs Man U.

Sports rewards don gulp almost $5m so far. Chan and Super Eagles up next.

If this Chan eagles hit jackpot, i see Chelle taking at least 2 to AFCON.

Overall fear: sports abandonment resumes after all this rewards fervor settles.

Bwari Youths have sat back for quite a while now but are now retaliating. They should leave these lands for them and stop all these police oppression.

Looks like what happened in the Wrath And Revenge series featuring Rahama Sadau is happening in reality again.

SportsRe: Which Of This Position Is Hardest To Play In Football? by daveP(m): 1:08am On Aug 03, 2025
Fullbacks and wingers

Both now have double duties unlike years ago when it was simply their primary duty positionally. Now the fullbacks are pseudo-attackers and the wingers must come and defend else their value in the market is trashed. Imagine being great at your primary duty but because you can't do the secondary, it devalues you instantly. Lol

Not to talk of when you as a winger can defend but average at winger duties, fit and always available

You'll see something like

96games
10goals
6 Assists

And fans will say that's super decent.

Or when you're terrible at defending as a full back but cos you make that attack click, same as winger above for availability and caps.

Fully enough, despite how great Salah is, many still disrespect him but wan a player like him. See Pepe too that many called a flop just cos Arteta was distraught at his approach to defending and possession. Yet...
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:02am On Aug 01, 2025
This RHS concentration is one thing that needs to change absolutely. I recall the man city game or so when the entirety of attack was on the LHS and Nwaneri kept beckoning for the ball. Nobody looked up to see he was miles with space. They kept passing crap back and forth on the left.

Then Rice looked up, and instantly gave him that long pass and booom!!! A goal

Over 27 useless, needless passes on the Left compared to 4 Touches on the right and a goal.

Same needs to happen on the right. Especially if this man doesn't want to make that LHS work and distribute concentration evenly so Saka can be even closer to the edge of the box like Nwaneri was that day.

It will be final nail in coffin if he has this lethal 9 and is still applying this U format that's boring and makes teams comfortable. Thar empty space, any video analyst knows that we offer next to nothing threat there and so all opponents will need to double up comfortably on our wingers.

Arteta don't be foolish this new season. If na Eze go make that empty zone click, get him now. I for say Musiala but he's injured.

That yelllow gk jersey don dey do like e get 2nd season juju. What in ramsdalism was that from Raya? 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣🤣🤣

And what exactly is your Zidane going to do? She would be clearly out of her league, as she does not have a defensive bone in her body. Ditto that for Moshood. Idoko is not half as good as Favour Emmanuel who should be the one to complement the current midfield. The SF needs players with the best lungs, who are pacy and can offer value upfront and in defense.
Neither of the players you mentioned offer this.
She will do just what she can offer to the team. Same for Idoko. Whether there is someone better now or later, these two have skill sets that i can say we need. There is still Peace Efih again. But everyone can't agree with all from the talent pool.

I personally don't want to think it is just about lungs sha.

All the governors dey open purse now cos e be like auction for them now. If e reach to help state owned NPFL or NWFL club now, we go dey hear

"The monies need processing"
"We are working on it"
"The committee involved will handle it and get back to us"
"When it is due, everyone will be paid. That i can tell you"
"Trust me, i know what im saying"
"They'll have to be patient as these things is not rocket or danfo"
"We have taken care of the logistics. Don't peddle false narratives"

And other blahhhs to the bala and the bluee that can paint a rainbow black blue.

I hope this doesn't bring one potential narrative in future where if they ask for what is due, they'll call them ungrateful sha.

In attack we could have:

Ihezuo, Edna, Oshoala, Kanu, Monday, Okafor, Esther, Babajide, Ajibade, Ijamilusi
Make they add Zidane and Idoko join for Midfield, it won't be a bad idea for Moshood too.

This looks like an "all lives matters" list. Nigeria should have at least 2 persons in defence if they are being serious. I guess they wanted the love to go round.

For me, my favourite goalkeeper in super falcons history so far (not the most accomplished though) is Alaba Jonathan. Chiamaka and Oluehi comes close then Precious Dede.
Oluehi was pivotal in 2019. O my my. Especially the final. That was OG levels of Performance from her. Now she's won another WAFCON alongside Ayinde and co.

I wished those non starters got minutes sha. E dey somehow as they no kick ball. But we are champs anyway.

SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:05am On Jul 28, 2025
The fact is people have taken it the tribal way and that pisses me off totally. One can't make an true assessment of performance without someone bringing the ingredients of bigotry into it. It is insane.

What's even more astonishing is, if two or three oyinbo sport journos came and said Esther deserved the MVP, and wrote a thread on twitter, dem go still attack am but not as much as when it is a Nigerian tweeting that.

I hate this trajectory. Why do i have to infuse tribal angles to justify my own tribal person when i just need constrictive criticism to assess performance?

Na the same folks(from different tribes in Nigeria) go argue Messi and Ronaldo and not an inkling of bigotry will be involved. It will all be stats, stats, evidence, cheeky banters, more stats, instances and anything that this person could do that the other couldn't.

Until e turn 2 Nigerians.

Infact we don't used to do like this for Nigerian footballers before. We have seen a Osimhen vs Aghahowa and Aiyegbeni, a Osaze vs Moses, and the likes but no tribal angles. We know where this nonsense started sha.

Pages ago, before this final ended, i gave my own choice of who deserves the MVP. Nothing concern me with tribalism. I say it as it is. But here we are. And now more are fueling it beyond normal to a sickening degree.

My POV is you can't influence a remontada final that way and be ignore for that award. But there's a track of POTMs already with Rash(which i don't agree with most anyway).
I hope this doesn't get to a viral level where both teammates begin to dey do their selves one kine one kine. It's that toxic.

We go dey alright.

Quick question ;

Who’s d better goalkeeper Btw Dede precious and chiamaka Nnadozie ?
Nnadozie undisputed. Many of the goals Dede conceded were totally avoidable if she at least moved or dived. She didn't make an attempt that my mum that used to watch Falcons that year used to be pissed sort of. She had good games though but those funny goals conceded, compared to Nnadozie......

Chiamaka is the better GK

North Africans generally just have very poor sportsmanship, and they don't really try to hide it. It's why I never root for them in any major tournament.

Sometimes, they remind me of South American teams like Uruguay and Argentina with the way they rely on antics and generally display superiority complex over African sides.
Its obviously a south American influence. They've modified it and made it even worse😂😂😂😂

CAF no wan address all that kine levels. Yet Fifa made rules adjustment when Cameroon gk was holding ball too much that year o. They supposed address the antics and faux dramatizing. Only then they'll realize it's no longer an advantage. But caf dey troway face. Smh
