semid4lyfe: Whose goal do you consider the best and goal of the match?
1st goal (Ohale) 2nd goal (Okorokwo) 3rd goal (Ihezuo) 4th goal (Demehin) 5th goal (Ijamilusi) That connecting header by Demehin for me. She rose high and nodded the ball where she wanted it to be with power. Considering how terrible we are at such lately, that was stunning from Tosin. |

lovewins: Not true.
She remains the most respected amongst her pairs. Ask an average new entrant to the team and th first name they mention is Oshoala. She also largely been a great bridge between the foreign born contingent and the Nigerian born ones.
The Ohale and Ayinde angel is also laughable. They are players who don't want big roles in the team. You have to understand that the reason Ajibade is captain today is because people like Ohale didn't want the responsibility. That's not to say they are irresponsible, not at all, but I think they prefer leading from their roles.
Oshoala has a big voice in the team, one that her colleague respects, and I also think she deserves to leave the team in style and the best place to do that is at the World cup. Voice yeah i agree with that. There are sides to her that is valuable to this team and now it is down to many off-pitch going forward but i still don't see it. Influential, true, but to impact to next gen? Naaah. |

Even this leadership role that lovewins want her to play i don't really see it. Ayinde and Ohale seem more poised to play that role IMO |

Oshoala is finished.
This thing hard me to type but i have to. That's the wackiest decision making for a player of her calibre. Otilo.
Madugu should sub Ijamilusi off. These are ladies now. Why are Ajibade and Ijamilusi still on the pitch? They're not men o, Madugu. |

COOL10: You don't keep players like Okoronkwo and Echegini on the bench. I'm glad the coach has learnt his lesson. When he repeats them as starters we go gree say he don learn. The two forwards are disconnected so far. A good thing Esther and Ajibade are have understanding. Zambian defense is truly wack |

semid4lyfe: The emboldened is not an excuse. It's real.
I saw a footage of their training session and Chioma's right hand was wrapped from the wrist down to the fingers.
Madugu said she trains with the team but the players know to play around her with caution because of the injury but in match situations opponents may target that particular body part to take her out of the game which is true so it makes sense not to risk her. Alright then. I just pray she gets minutes soon. |

Deltamani: I would have picked Fransisca Ordega to start from the Left flank as well considering she’s very strong and quite fast as well, she can deal with their RB and allow Plumptre forward a little bit…
If not for OSINACHI Ohale age, I don’t think Barbra Banda is anything to worry about consider the caliber of Fast and Physical Strikers Ohale have handled in the past…
We also have a dependable Halimatu Ayinde and Christy Ucheibe who can minimize their threat as well considering how they thrive in this kind of Physical games..
My Problem is our combination upfront… Ajibade must play from the wing, bench Toni Payne as she might struggle in this kind of physical game..
Babajide/Franny — Ihezuo/Oshoala — Ajibade
Then remove Echegini when she’s tired and move Rash to the Midfield later, bring in Esther to the right wing… Or you can as well move Rash to the Left and bring in Abiodun to the seal up the midfield…
The set up against England at the last World Cup is good enough to run them down, only Kanu that’s currently not in the team…! Upfront combo LW-Rinsola CF-Ihezuo RW-Ordega(sub Esther in for her or shift Ajibade to RW and let Ordega go off for Echegini, then Esther for Rinsola in that case) Normally, if not for that finger injury that seem like an excuse for Chioma, I'd like to see her come on. With a 4123 approach Where Toni/Echegini and Ajibade play that 2. With one of Ucheibe/Ayinde behind them(obviously Ayinde) I saw the Zambia coach statement about Unity. It was hilarious but it made one think our squad are having some division. Lol |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 4:09pm On Jul 17, 2025 |
Ordega and Toni should start. Ordega will make their LW come back to defend more and therefore makeit just Banda all alone with Ohale and Tosin to deal with.
We choke that Ordega win and switch fast to an in running Plumptre and Esther/ihezuo.
I however can't say they won't score us. Awry levels is higher and if we survive Zambia, Southie fit use passes kill us if we don't fix up now. Can we best Mothlalo after 3years? |

If Liverpool trigger Newcastle raid with Isak, it opens the door for Gordon and co to be lured away as well. Lookman at €40m looks super super easy to me. Perhaps he doesn't want EPL again. |

We made that Algerian and Bostwana GK shine sha. They're good anyway.
I hope we gbera this KO stage, our route to the final is via Southern opponents.
Morocco have the easier route to the final.
I fear this passing deficiency. Algeria showed us they can bypass us easily with triangular passes and cheeky 1-2 passes to beat whatever press and create large spaces. We need to stop the crappy 2on1 marking we did in the group stage. Dem go too suffer our ladies if we don't fix up this aspect in the middle and defense. The attack still got good passes sha.

Spy360: Your own problem is that you have no inkling of what's going on in the club.
Did you realise that Arteta sold two players last summer? Why would he sell at all when we all know he needed depth? Have you asked yourself?
Have you asked yourself why the players he was willing to sacrifice were attackers?
ESR (attacker) and Nketiah (attacker)
If he was given money to buy attacker then why did he have to sell? And even sell attackers?
This season that you are seeing signings, who has he sold?
Stop playing You're not this slow o, are you? See what you're using as case study to justify i have no idea of what's going on in my club. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ Is this what you actually use to justify why things are the way they are? He's suddenly in charge of letting attackers go but when it comes to recruiting, YOU blame the board and the directors for not giving him $$?? Have i asked myself? 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ Woh!!! I sha commend you for finally crossing a bridge some of us have crossed 2 seasons ago. E no easy. Meet those of us that have no inkling about our club ahead. E no hard abeg. |

Now he's getting depth to the squad and the TAA loophole may seize to be a banter stuff as that one don go Spain. With Isak and Wirtz, this man dey cook. Then those new additions to Pep team lasan. Expectations: Liverpool and City finishing ahead of us won't irk me as much as Chelsea attempting such. If that happens, they should End The ProcessFor now, we too dey cook. The Forwards combined should cook 90+ goals alone next season. |
