safarigirl:
why will our actors need to fight taekwondo and king fu? There are 1 billion Chinese pNnueople in the world, they don't need the rest of you replicating their culture

I really don't understand why black people are so obsessed with getting the approval of white men. The slavery mentality with you guys is high sha.

That is one of the reasons Nollywood is regressing. We went from telling great, relatable African stories like Igodo, Living In Bondage and Egg of Life, to trying to tell European stories using African actors. You can't sell the white man's story to the white man.

The sooner Nollywood starts telling African stories again, the better it will be. The only problem Nollywood ever had was with money. There isn't enough capital to secure the effects that you guys love, but every other thing was good.

Script writing was top notch, acting was impeccable. Go back and watch all those old movies, and you will gain a newer sense of respect for them. Over 15 years after movies like Osuofia in London, Issakaba and Aki & Pawpaw, people still enjoy them, they are all over the Internet, being used by millions around the world.

But Nollywood of today, will rather throw a bunch of light-skinned ladies with poor acting skills and a mediocre script, then try to blind us with flashy cars, while telling European stories.

Abeg, make I no too go down this path here, because my grouse with Nollywood and Nigerians is strong.
Safari, This has nothing to do with asslicking.. Its what gives most female roles larger bank checks these days. We need to catch up from this usuals if we wantu gross movies. Many foolish movies take home close to billion dollars like some of those SA films you mentioned. If we want Nollywood to become lucrative, then it needs to adapt to the trend asap.

Martial arts is one big criteria for any action movie involving female characters. You know that already.

Are you still content with all these love movies upandan that we sit and know the end? Are we limited to the box forever?

I dunno how you see it but we need to catch up or get relegated. Thats the fact. Forget white man standards. If its not History we are acting(which is a heck of a problem for facts) then they gats step up.

Imagine Ratnik and Camp zero is gonna be our first when many others had such 2decades ago in Africa.... We simply lagging behind.

There is a movie that will be released later in the year. The title is camp zero, I think that will be the highest grossing movie Nigeria, according to them it will be Hollywood style
Yeah i saw it too. even a naija sci fi Ratnik... i hope they gross way above $3mill

Grossing and Nollywoood na like Asia to Antartica.

They'll get there definitely.

Actresses and Actors do need be eclectic though. The Wakanda role still deybpain me. How many of our actresses fit fight taekwando or kungfu to get featured in such movie that needs such. It goes on... Improvements dey.

If social media was present the way it was in Mikel days, im sorry to say most of the ones we hail as legends would really look ordinary to us. Nostalgia is tryna be a big decider here. But Mikel belongs..

If its careerwise he ranks there. SEwise thats where the argument can get really crazy. Many would prefer that Enyeama is more a SE legend than Mikel. The love is the difference.

The EPL may have to end the league like this. Or if they like, fly to Africa and finish it under hot conditions that are averse to the virus. Most likely North African stadiums.

No, a bonafide child of God filled with his spirit.

But we Christians are fast loosing sight of the great commission granted us by our Lord and Saviour in Matthew 28 and are instead focused (erroneously) on looking out for physical signs like we are astrologers.

Let us instead focus on reaching the lost with the gospel of Christ which is our ministry (2 Cor 5:21) instead of speaking doom and gloom. The gospel is good news and not to scare people into believing and accepting Christ. If there's a topic that requires deep reflection among all believers in the church today, it is the unnecessary focus and erroneous doctrine of materialism as the sole reason for Christ's death, burial and resurrection.

Thanks brother. You're blessed
He didn't say anything odd from the bible na. Matt 24 and 25 have Jesus speaking about these kinda things happening and warning all believers to be on the watch out for them when they happen. He isnt preaching doom and gloom na. Make God change this situo for us. Football is on a standstill now. Sports would and human interaction would soon reduce drastically. Hmm

Iggy didn't even miss a pass. Perfect passing accuracy in the final third and overall sef.

Indeed it seems we are seeing Ighalo's prime. This is it. Prime Ighalo. It took him a long while but he is finally showing great stuff in one of the world's biggest clubs carrying on from where he left off with Nigeria at the AFCON/AFCON Qualifiers and in China.

And like you, I also don't think I recognise him anymore.

We have our current Super Eagles strikers balling and firing all on cylinders but seeing our Super Eagles retirees like Ighalo and Mikel still doing what they do week in, week out is testament to the way things have changed for Nigerian football most especially our senior national team.
Even our Former players are still so good and relevant for Good clubs and our current young players are also making us not miss them much or at all sef.
Those negative speaking man u legends needs to shut up. All saying crap most times about Ighalo.

I'll keep emphasizing it any where i go.

The tongues spoken on the day of Pentecost were Human Languages spoken by people that havent even travelled farther than Judea.

But we have lots of gibberish these days and most scaringly, those that fake it and have this exact boldness and confidence that they are now baptized with the Holy Spirit. Aaaaaaaahhhh.

Imagine thinking you're serving God and at the end, its all a facade.

Its now abused and its so so bad that brothelians too speak it well.

I've witness a sister that keeps going for altar calls for baptism at every Church program she sees on a flyer. You wonder which spirit she got from the last altar cos she keeps coming out.

Devil is a smart-ass chess player mehn.
