People, How do you assess Victor Moses' present attacking brilliance, as he's been a permanent Wingback and never a winger at Chelsea which I want to believe is one of those factors affecting his current form particularly when going forward. I just hope it wont affect his confidence as he's that one player who constantly shoulders our attacking responsibilities in the SE the most.
The role saying has been okay so far, but he doesn't have this attacking confidence when going forward. if he had, he would have assisted Giroud that night at least one from 4crosses. But so far, it's a Lil above average to me.

I have not a problem if he is awakened when playing in the GWG.

First of all, thumbs up to everyone keeping this wonderful thread alive.

I think there is a misconception and I am also part of it.

The term World Class should be reserved for those who have done remarkable things in the game of football and for a long time.

With this, we can see the wonderkid Wilfred Ndidi is not yet World Class. The right term is a high quality talent with the potential of becoming World Class.

With this, Nemanja Matic is not World Class. Mbappe is not World Class but like Ndidi, has the potential to become World Class. So he goes into the bracket of High Quality talent.

Casemiro will take the Top Quality bracket while Neymar, Messi, CR7 and Aguero will take the term World Class.

Potential - Iheanacho, Gabriel Jesus, Ousmane Dembele

High quality - Ndidi, Matic (with time running out might not be tagged top quality, let alone World Class), Mbappe, Lukaku

Top quality - Pogba, Casemiro, Harry Kane, Suarez

World Class - Messi, CR7, Aguero
very on point.... wished you added a few Germans and Spaniards... But nice one

I'm not the one who made the comparison. Check the post I replied.
So making the ucl team of the tournament in his first full season isn't a big deal?
Winning golden boy isn't a big deal?
Winning young player of the year has to do with scoring?
He isn't having a good season yet he's scored 13 in 21 league games and 19 for season?

Why didn't you ask the guy who brought Ndidi to the argument?. Abeg I no want argue this matter again. Facts are Facts.
Exactly.... facts are facts, but would we have them without the media compiling?
Which means we are at the mercy of the same media, cos they can either be over looking or selective.

This same media that produces the facts are the ones saying Ndidi is the best in Europe, second to none, but we quickly rushed into the train to wanna prove otherwise..... quite revealing to say the least. Very revealing....

Facts are Facts truly....

These guys are all club form and shadows(nonreplicant) for national team.

Nacho have played more games for national, same for Ndidi, and they've performed well.

So I join the school of thought of thegoodjoe and tbaba1234 that club form is not directly proportional or equal to national team form.... and that has always had Nigeria as its top case study. I rest my case(Even if I've been on that same school of thought since... I'm joining again)

Mbappe had a better performance than Ndidi in the ucl last season - fact
Mbappe is the highest scoring teen in the ucl - fact
Nacho flopped when he played for city against Madrid too - Fact.
Mbappe in his first ucl season scored 6 in 9 games - fact.
Mbappe scored 26 goals in his first full season as a pro despite playing as a second striker and not a team called PSG - fact
Mbappe made the ucl team of last season - fact.
What has Nacho achieved?
I guess I'm about to enjoy this discussion.... lol

did you take note that all the comparison you did was just about scoring, scoring, and just scoringhuh

So cos Mbappe scored and Ndidi didn't, then that was what made him better than Ndidi.huh Guy like seriously....

Won't you ask yourself some questions before you wrongly jump into the that ship next time?

So cos the media didn't make his performance known to the while world, then he isn't worthy of a mention? Say otherwise cos that's what you're Tryna infer.

Keep hoping on Mbappe you hear...

Wetin concern me with Nacho. You brought in Mbappe to this issue, but I won't grant you the chance to add Nacho just to make two points.

They don't play the same position pls.

Goan get a 90mins clip of that match and come back and tell me what you saw.

Final Question... since his move to PSG, why hasn't he replicated the form he had for Monaco?

I don't ask cos I want to downgrade. I ask cos I need a different perspective from the one I hold.

The stint Ndidi currently have started from that season. Kante currently, the one he replaced is a shadow of his Leicester self.

Your point?? We are arguing who is better at the moment. Who has shown more potential and who possess the better attributes. I say it's Mbappe. Simple.
Mbappe? Someone that was as black as his shadow when playing against Madrid?

He couldn't contribute an attacking pass in the first leg. Iota stats captured that but that night the commentators were overwhelmingly concerned and focused on Neymar.

Ndidi has play at the highest level just like Mbappe, and he delivered absolutely fine and classy! Pls what has Mbappe done?

That is precisely the problem. Using the lowest standard to brush Ndidi aside. Imagine the correlation between Onazi and Modric and Ndidi and Matic.
Tells you how he sees Ndidi. All the talk about Ndidi improving is a ruse. In their eyes Ndidi is not just good enough. Let him improve from here to Mars, they would never see him as being at the top. Shebi we talked about Ndidi's record stats. They say stats doesn't matter so much.
Forget all those yarns about improvement. Imagine Onazi and Modric? Chai
And it's annoying seriously.

sometimes you are in a situo that suppose to make you angry, but you just weak to respond anyway than just looking. That's how I feel on here when I read these sad statements just to ensure a point is proved to bring down our best. Especially when the said best is bossing the whites in the same League, under the same conditions and the same standards.

Abi na different league dem dey play?

Asamoah Goan was good before the World Cup and his teammates and country backed him up that the Portuguese team had to get clips on his weaknesses..... What are we saying here?

I love the counter-fact that this media ignoring our players is doing. The spotlight won't be on them and they won't be in team analysis until they shock the world. If they do bad... no p, but that's what I'm happy about.

I'm not blindly patriotic. That's why I don't do this always. But once I see value and trailblazers, I talk. I hope they see the same way soon.

It's annoying. That Argentina match, the viewing centre I watched was filled up with patriotic pessimists. They came to look for loop holes and then watch dem Dybala and co roast us to the ashes. They were so happy that after the first goal, they were already shouting. Sad laughter followed after the second goal.

We equalized and the usual talks of that Argentina go still score was everywhere.

Only me and an old man(Obviously a golden generation fan) were optimistic.

Then I discovered the reason why they are that pessimistic in nature, which is no excuse atall still..... Nacho's freekick entered and allllll the pessimists jumped up to scream goaaaallllll.

Why did they scream goal when they had no hope for the team?

Simple...... It's been long we scored such goal from set piece against a very big team.

So you see, they just wanted exceptional play. Some of them injured during the celebration cos they heeded not the ceiling fans that was above their heads. But they cared not.

Three more goals and we all left the place on a high..... They sounded like the Jews in the era of Christ..... Hosanna today, Crucify him tomorrow!!!!!

They were now the ones that were hyping Nacho, Iwobi, and Brian Idowu Asif they've seen Idowu play like 20games for any team sef. SMH.

The old man told me that these are plastic fans, thanks to club football standards as he zoomed off in his SUV. He looked wealthy but he forsook his big house to join others in a viewing Centre!!!!

I think most of pro-matic(that sounds like an English word, lol) guys on here are fast in conclusion. The fact that we say that Ndidi is better than anyone in Europe this season doesn't mean he's world class yet.

MAYBE THE RECURRING QUESTION SHOULD BE "CAN AN UNRATED PLAYER OUTPERFORM A WORLD CLASS PLAYER?"

OR BETTER STILL, Can a world class player have a rival from one not yet tagged a world class player?

I repeat - Matic and Ndidi are in different Class, the same way United States and Korea Republic ain't in the same League. A world class Player ain't the same with a developing Player.
You might have made a great point, but you ruined it with the country comparisons.

Abeg. whatever you say, Ndidi is better than him currently. His peak performance was against Griezmann in the UCL. That guy is a game reader. potentially he is going far places. Matic yaff peaked already
