You sir are the nonsensical baboon looking buffoon on meth. So you think hand over actually happens on the hand over date? Your school (if u ever attended one) should do a refund of your school fees as it was obviously wasted. Do u know how long it takes to effectively commence true governance after going through all the USEFUL TIPS of an ousted government? Any new administration aims to hit the ground running so the outgoing government is meant to release required information pertaining to their rulership methods and works in advance.

I can enrol you in Adult night classes and pay for it if you require more brushing up.
Now it's obvious that stupidity coupled with iqnorance has been enqrained in your DNA! Does our constitution uphold anythinq known as 'useful tips' from the outinq qovt 2 d newly elected??! It's in Jonathan's jurisdiction to do such if he deems it fit, I bet he wouldn't especially rememberinq that this xame baba maliqned his imaqe and demonised his reputation in a jiffy

LAGOS—A 29-year-old mechanic, Bode David, is yet to recover from being made to spend a night with the corpse of his friend, late Ganiyu, and drink the water used to wash it, to prove he was not responsible for his death.

It was gathered that the incident, which happened at Isheri Magodo, a suburb of Lagos, was executed because before Ganiyu gave up the ghost in the hospital, he kept calling Bode’s name.

Recounting his ordeal, Bode, an indigene of Ekiti State, a mechanic, who specialized in fixing Japanese vehicles, said: “I knew the late Ganiyu and Wasiu in January, when I was looking for someone to fix my faulty Honda car.

“That was when Ganiyu introduced me to Wasiu to fix my car. After he fixed my car, I paid him N35,000. Since then, we have had no business except when our paths occasionally crossed and we exchange pleasantries.

“On Tuesday, Wasiu called me at about 6p.m., saying they need my help urgently. He said Ganiyu was in the hospital and that they needed money to purchase pints of blood and drips, which was about N19, 000.

“He pleaded with me to come. At about 7pm, without any idea that Ganiyu was dead, I drove my car to the junction of their street, called him on phone that he should come and collect N5,000, which was all that I had to assist Ganiyu’s treatment at that time.

“When he came to where I parked my vehicle, he said the hospital was nearby, so we walked towards where he said the hospital is located.

Deceived, beaten

“As we walked, I began to notice some strange movement in the vicinity as bad boys filled the area, so I asked where exactly the hospital was. He said we are taking a short cut to the hospital.

‘’Eventually, the short cut led to a compound. Immediately we entered the compound, people began to ask me what I knew about Ganiyu’s death. I told them I knew nothing, but they did not believe me, and they began to beat me.

‘’When they were beating me, a Baale in the area interrogated me, told them to stop beating me and to hand me over to the police, or they might beat me to death and then have two corpses on their hands. But they refused.

“After beating me, they forced me to sleep on the floor in the same room where Ganiyu’s corpse was laid to prove that I had nothing to do with his death. While they were beating me, my phone and the money in my pocket got missing.

“When they discovered that I was still alive, they washed his corpse and forced me to drink the water. I refused but they almost killed me with another round of beating. When it was obvious that I had no option, I drank it.

“After I drank the water, someone who claimed that he knew me called the police. The police took me to divisional police station at Awoshika, before the case was transferred to Area F Command.

“I have nothing to do with Ganiyu’s death. How would I be responsible for his death when I had no problem with him? All I want is for government and Nigerians to come to my aid, and bring those who meted this inhumane treatment to me to justice.’’

My story—WASIU
In his defence, 33-year-old Wasiu Fadairo, the mechanic who lured Bode with the call that brought him to the house, said: “I am from Kwara State. The late Ganiyu is from my home town.

“On May 12, Ganiyu was stooling and vomiting blood, so we rushed him to a hospital located along Oluwora Road, Isheri in Magodo. He later died, calling a particular name— Bode.

“After he died, we took him home because none of his immediate family members or relatives was available. When we called them, they said they were coming, so we kept his corpse inside his room.

“That same day, neighbours and people living around were angry, alleging that the name Bode, which Ganiyu kept calling before he died, was responsible for his death. So they began to call Bode’s phone number.

“When Bode did not come, I called him with my phone and told him that Ganiyu was lying critically ill and needed blood and drips, and that we need his assistance.

“When he came, people began to question him concerning what he knew about Ganiyu’s death. Before he could say a word, they pounced on him and began to beat him. So I ran to call the police to come and rescue him.

“After police rescued him, they later went to where he parked his car and vandalized it. I was there when they were beating him, but I was not there when they forced him to lie beside the corpse and drink the water used to wash it.”

Police story

Confirming the incident, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, said: “Two friends went out for a drink and one of them, Ganiyu, took ill after the outing and started stooling.
“He was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, but died in the process. Angry friends and neighbours, suspecting the complicity of Bode David, descended on him and attempted to lynch him.

“He was, however, rescued by our policemen and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Ganiyu commenced at Isheri Division. But the case has been transferred to the Department of Criminal investigation, DCI, Yaba, for further investigation.”

PoliticsMy Wife Wasn't A Model -oshiomole by daveyjay(op): 7:28am On May 18, 2015
BENIN—GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has said that his new wife, Iara, was not a model professionally, although she is a model to him. He, meanwhile, said his new wife was not a replacement for his late wife, Clara, whom he said was irreplaceable.
Speaking at a thanksgiving Mass at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Auchi, yesterday, Oshiomhole denied reports that his wife is a ‘top model,’ saying the speculation might have been generated from her poise and beauty.
He said: “When I read newspaper stories and they said that I married a top model, I felt maybe they were referring to another person.
“The lady that God has directed to my path and heart to marry is not and was not a model. Of course, she looks beautiful and I understand that is why people assume that this kind of a lady must be a model. But, of course, she is a model to me and we hope and pray that we will be models in the eyes of our God and I think that is the most important thing.”
Governor Oshiomhole appealed to the congregation to keep supporting him and his new wife in prayer, saying: “I  ask you to please continue to pray for us. It is not easy. I lost my first wife and it is not possible to replace her. Yes, I have married another but it is not a replacement.

wow is this really how low the educational levels of supposedly educated Nigerians has sunken to? They are no longer able to deduce or analyze simple words in its right context and guise? Let me help!

When any government is HANDING OVER that word HAND OVER goes beyond " I am stepping down, now u continue" it depicts handing over everything in your power pertaining to governance. e.g; pending projects (how much budgeted, spent and balance), finished projects, (conclussion amount), persons involved, persons relevant, when they came onboard and all that. These form what is referred to as USEFUL TIPS and not the ABCs of governance as many of you seem to think. This is to either ensure continuity, change of priorities or outright scrapping or also to ensure continuous participation by those already involved or a change of "in charge" figures.

The person who you all should focus on isnt buhari but Jonathan because his actions show he was not having any direction to governance so CANNOT GIVE USEFUL TIPS inadvertently throwing a spanner in the works of buharis government from day 1. Those who still do not understand what USEFUL TIPS mean after my explanation above are as clueless and lack direction as Jonathan does, did and remains!
Now u have proven to be a slowpoke! When is the official handover date?! Why then is buhari askinq 4 tips (templates) before this date?!

Some people just comment without hatred and hypocrisy....... When a board chairman is going or you are to relief someone of his duties when he wants to go on leave.... Isn't mandatory that the person gives you some useful tips on how to carry out the assignment.......I am sure nothing has been handed over to you in the past, that is why you don't know what the process entails.

No matter how clueless the Jonathan administration is, he has been managing our collective treasures in the last five years and need to give details of the state of things. Details like, how much was made and spent, national debts, awarded contracts and stages of completion, and various economic activities and projections. Such information ensure that the incoming government hit the ground running and not spend months trying to figure out the state of things.

The only reason for non-cooperation is if there is a skeleton in the outgoing government cupboard. And, that seems to be the case from all what we can see and hear.
If really this is what buhari wanted, he wouldn't speak until after the handover, the details u posted comes as templates on the day of handover, not before handover, so these chanqe hypocrites should wake up to the reality of deception
PoliticsImpeachment: Speaker Uncovers Police Plot To Detain Him In Enugu by daveyjay(op): 5:47pm On May 14, 2015
Speaker, Enugu State House of Assembly, Mr Eugene Odo, on Thursday alleged that the police want to detain him over a purported forgery of N12 billion naira. Odo, who briefed newsmen in Enugu on Thursday over the impasse between the lawmakers and Gov. Sullivan Chime, called on the Inspector-General of Police to intervene.
He noted that in spite of the court order by the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu which restrain the police from curtailing his liberty, granted him and other lawmakers’ unfettered access to the assembly complex.
Odo expressed regret that up till Thursday the Monday was yet to be obeyed by the police. He said he was rather invited by the Commissioner of Police in Enugu on phone over a petition by the governor highlighting issues raised in the impeachment notice.
“This is a legislative matter and not a police affair. I suspect a situation where we may be detained and poisoned. “This is to bring the matter to the attention of the public and ask the IGP to intervene.
“This is the first time legislative duties are carried to the police. Matters of impeachment is to make responses and not for the police to take over.
“I hope that Enugu State people will not allow this. The police should obey court orders and not to restrain us to carry out our legislative functions. “What we are suspecting is not favourable to my personal liberty and it goes to show the level of impunity going on in this state,’’ he alleged. Odo alleged that the police was getting involved in the saga, and urged them to do their functions.
He said that he was re-invited to report to the police on Monday, May 18, as he was not disposed to report on Thursday. A Federal High Court sitting in Enugu had on Monday, directed the police to vacate the premises of the assembly complex. The court also granted the speaker and 14 other lawmakers’ unfettered access to perform their legislative duties.

PoliticsEx-anambra Governor Evicted From Home by daveyjay(op): 5:37pm On May 14, 2015
ABUJA—Justice Suleiman Belgore of the Federal Capital Territory High Court has ordered the eviction of former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo from a mansion he is living at the high-brow Maitama District in Abuja. The court ordered Nwobodo to relinquish the property to the owner, Adib-Miles International Limited.
The property in question is a six-bedroom mansion with one bedroom guest chalet and two-room boys quarters at 24, Ona Crescent, Plot 768 Cadastral Zone A5, Maitama Abuja. Justice Belgore, in his judgment, a copy of which was obtained by Vanguard, equally ordered Nwobodo to pay N11 million as arrears of the rent on the premises from June 1, 2009, to May 31, 2011.
In the course of the trial, the court found as a fact that the plaintiff company had sometime in 2008 bought the property from one Alhaji Al-Mustapha Abubakar who had earlier leased the property to Nwobodo. However, Nwobodo had in a counter-affidavit he filed against the suit that culminated to the eviction order against him, claimed that while the property was on offer for sale, he expressed intention to purchase it.

PoliticsFour Edo Govt Officials Arrested Over Cult Activities by daveyjay(op): 5:29pm On May 14, 2015
Barely 24 hours after the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, dispatched a special squad to Edo State to tackle the spate of cultism, kidnapping, robbery and other related crimes, the team has arrested 11 suspected leaders of cult groups in the state, among them, four state government functionaries.
Police sources said the team, led by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in-charge of Federal Special Anti-robbery Squad, FEDSARS, Chris Ezike, stormed the hideout of the cultists few hours after arriving Benin City and successfully arrested leaders of cult confraternities for alleged complicity and murder of 10 Nigerians in the last one month in Edo State.
The cult leaders were arrested on suspicion of conspiratorial involvement in  alleged murder of one Ojo Ayeadu, 55, at old Benin-Auchi Road  and nine other persons at different locations in Benin City and its environs.
Reacting to the development, an Edo State Government official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said: “Those arrested, from what we gathered, are junior workers of the War Against Indiscipline. The state governor does not condone cultism, which explains why when one of his bodyguards was accused of being involved in cultism, he ordered his arrest, which was done immediately.”
Confirming the arrests, Force Public Relations Officer, Ag Commissioner of Police, Mr Emmanuel Ojukwu, told Vanguard on phone: “Yes, a good number of arrests has been made, irrespective of their status.  The figures are still coming in.  The thrust of the IG is yielding positive results.”
Sources said the suspects include Engr. David Olukoga, 46, who is the Chairman, Edo State Committee on War Against Indiscipline and  Senior Special Assistant on Youth Enhancement to the Governor of the State, Osunde Aigbedo, 48; Executive Director, Special Duties, Government House, Edo State, Dr. Salako Adebowale, 43, of UBTH, Benin-City; Ernest Amadasun, 49, the Managing Director, Pohien Investments and National Coordinator, Human Assistant Initiative and Adebo Ejuaoje, 46, of the Ministry of Education, Science and Tech Vocational, Iyaro, Benin City.
Other arrested suspects, according to police sources, include Isabor Larry, 34, staff of Edo State House of Assembly; Totti Omonuwa, 42, of No. 97, Igun Street, Benin-City, Ahunwan-ID Orlando, 39, of No. 2, Ighodalo Street, Benin-City; Josuah Ehiabhi, 36, of No. 11, Upper Mission Road, off Ewa Raod, Benin-City; Felix Evbodi, 46, of No. 12, Aibelegbe Street, Benin-City and Uche Chukwuka, 36, the Private Secretary to the Chairman, Committee on Environment, Ministry of Environment, Edo State.
They were alleged to belong to Eiye, , Buccaneers, Aiye and Jurist confraternities.
The suspects, Vanguard gathered, denied complicity in the murder charge but made very useful statements to the police.  It was learned from sources that the suspects, with others at large, have been fingered as brains behind the sustained and vicious inter and intra-cult war that engulfed Edo State in recent times leading to avoidable loss of lives.
It was gathered that following the development, the Inspector-General of Police ordered that robust and coordinated anti-robbery patrols of identified black spots along Isua – Ibillo Road, Ibillo –Lakpese – Okene roads while all Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers in the area are to partake in the special operation.

PoliticsBuhari Denies Purported Choice Of Senate Leader by daveyjay(op): 3:55pm On May 13, 2015
Abuja – General Muhammadu Buhari, the president-elect, has said that he is willing to work with any leader of the Senate, irrespective of what part of the country he or she originates from.
In a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday, May 13, General Buhari described as false, insinuations in the media that he was in support of any particular Senator’s emergence as Leader or that he belonged to any camp pushing for the emergence of a leader from a particular part of the country.
“I am prepared to work with any leaders that the House or Senate selects,” General Buhari said. “It doesn’t matter who the person is or where he or she is from.”
He added that these insinuations were probably born out of people’s expectations based on the way things had happened in the past, but reminded Nigerians that CHANGE had truly come.
“There is due process for the selection of leaders of the National Assembly,” General Buhari said, “and I will not interfere in that process.”
General Buhari added that the media and the public should begin to get used to no more “business as usual.”
“Nigeria has indeed entered a new dispensation,” he said. “My administration does not intend to repeat the same mistakes made by previous governments.

PoliticsPresident Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's Worth by daveyjay(op): 3:32pm On May 13, 2015
FORMER Minister of Police Affairs, Alaowei Broderick Bozimo, has said that Nigerians will value President Goodluck Jonathan later for his love and sacrifice for the country, insisting that the outgoing president is a hero.
Bozimo, in Erhowha, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, during the burial of his late father in-law, Chief Ezekiel Ukodie, said that it was wrong to blame the spate of insecurity in the country on President Jonathan’s lack of courage or selfish political considerations.
The former minister, on the issue of Boko Haram, said that nobody could say with certainty the genesis of Boko Haram, just like the root cause of ISIS and other militia groups.
Bozimo said that it could not also be right to say that economic reasons such as unemployment were the cause of the religious fanaticism and the related reign of violence in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
He also rubbished the United States for its insincerity to Nigeria in the country’s efforts to muster international support to fight the Boko Haram insurgency.
He said: “You can see what is happening all over the world. I doubt if it is because of economic circumstances. I don’t subscribe to that. When I left (as Police Affairs Minister) in 2007, Boko Haram had just started rearing its ugly head. They were coming in from the Borno axis and I visited there. They burnt down police stations.
“We thought it wasn’t serious or that it was a passing thing, we did the best to arrest the situation. So, I don’t think it is about unemployment.”

People calling them fools fail to realise that before militancy took off in the past few years, very minimal development took place in the Niger Delta. Now compare the Niger Delta to about 7years ago and see much more federal presence.

I may not be an advocate of violence, but these people has seen that Govt can only be strong armed before they take them serious. Coupled with the money associated with it either from Government payments or direct sales of crude on the black market.

Call them 'fools', but the entire country knew what they were losing daily when these guys were in play. That the houses of parliament, the presidency and other intermediaries decided to dialogue with these 'fools' shows you how much power the ND can wield over Nigeria.

Violence is not always the answer, but these 'fools' can still drag the country way down in this current economic crisis.

PoliticsWhy Police Ex-igp, Abba, Was Removed -police Service Commission by daveyjay(op): 7:35am On May 13, 2015
Abuja—The Police Service Commission explained, yesterday, that the former Inspector General of Police, Mr. Suleiman Abba was removed from office because of increasing cases of indiscipline in the rank and file of the force.
The explanation came on a day the Police Council confirmed Mr. Abba’s successor, Mr. Solomon Arase as the substantive Inspector General of Police.
His words: “I’m not part of the Presidency that removed him, so I cannot give adequate answer. Though at the meeting President Jonathan tried to explain to members, based on the question raised by one of the governors that Nigerians may want to know why the former IGP was removed.
“The President, who was very brief in his response said, during the period of the former IGP, a lot of indiscipline was noticed among the Police rank and file  and as such he felt that a new IG should come and try his luck. That is what he said, though I cannot give details of that.”
Meanwhile, the newly confirmed IGP, Mr. Arase, who spoke with state House correspondents after meeting with President Jonathan ,promised that no Nigerian would suffer injustice under his watch.
“To Nigerians, I know that their expectations are high, but I can assure them that no Nigerian will suffer any injustice by my inaction or action,” he said.
He said that under his watch, the welfare of officers and men would be a top priority as a well motivated personnel as the panacea for effective policing.
“To my men, I will tell them that their welfare will be number one on  my cardinal responsibilities. You don’t motivate a workforce except their welfare is paramount. I’m going to ensure that their welfare is going to be put on the front burner” he said.

PoliticsWhy We Blew Up Oil Facilities -urhobo Militant Group by daveyjay(op): 7:22am On May 13, 2015
ASABA—AGGRIEVED Urhobo militants, under the aegis of Urhobo Gbagbako, have said that their decision to blow up oil facilities in Ihwrenen and Ejophe communities in Ughelli North and Ughelli South Local Government Areas, Delta State, was informed by what they described as marginalization and neglect of Urhobo nation by the outgoing administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
The group, in a statement by its National Chairman, Otega Obire, said: “The Urhobo nation, as the fifth largest ethnic group in the country, has long been marginalized in the presidential amnesty programme and pipeline surveillance jobs and contracts. Even the Delta Steel Company, DSC, Aladja, that is supposed to be the only federal project in Urhoboland, has been grounded for years.”
Warning that the Urhobo hospitality, simplicity and maturity exhibited to ensure the smooth functioning of government at all levels, should not be mistaken for cowardice, the group in the statement, told the incoming government to create a level playing ground for bidding and allocation of contracts in the oil pipeline surveillance with particular reference to the “Urhobos who are the major host communities of oil facilities and gas plants in line with the Local Content Act.”
Calling for the speedy resuscitation of DSC to reduce unemployment and restiveness in their domain, and by extension promote the economic fortunes of the people, the militants, said: “We accepted change before the elections because we strongly believed in the capacity of the president-elect, General Muhamadu Buhari, to correct the wrongs done to us by the outgoing administration.
“We have resolved to prevail and calm all aggrieved Urhobo youths for a ceasefire after due consultation and meetings with our channels of communication with the incoming government, but it has to be quick in order to avoid a return to the dark days of militancy.”
