Still yet to understand how Igbos had the opportunity to create an additional state for themselves to be at par with other zones of the federation within the period 2010-2015 but couldn't do that despite having two of their own as deputies in the National Assembly and a pro-Igbo president and billions of naira as sitting allowance in amending the Constitution (as Dr Ogbonnia rightly pointed out here). |
And if unfortunately they had succeeded, many people would have ignorantly been pointing hands to "Fulani herdsmen". This is why trying to score political points by politicising security issues is so dangerous. |
You people should hold your tirades against Mynd44 abeg. This pummelling is too much and degrading. I see 2 year ban for some people, in the offing. ![]() ![]() |
So it's actually possible to go for holiday and honeymoon without posing in lingerie for the whole world to see what should have been private? I'm asking for somebody |
This reply is OK, but outrightly ignoring the Ganduje question posed by another journalist, sends negative tones. He would have at least say the suspect still enjoys immunity from prosecution for now. |
ZombiePUNISHER:You always sound pained about Buhari; don't lose your mind pls. Support whoever you want to support and allow others give their support to whoever they see fit. Even harmless, funny comments that some other people would laugh at, you take them on your head and start lambasting the posters unduly. This is insane. |
curfew:Chai! This people and comedy are inseparable. Around the world indeed! I heard several Turkish, American, French and Slovenian universities have set up different research units to study the "evidence provided by Kanu". ![]() ![]() |
gidgiddy:But IPOB has been basing its propaganda against the person of Buhari when they should be attacking cogent issues, leaving people no other option than to see them as unserious, attention-seeking lots. |
BrownRoofRep:The disadvantage to this barefaced propaganda by IPOB to sway public discourse is that it will continue to degrade the trust people (especially Igbos) have about them. When you continue to spin outrageous stories and they keep getting busted as lies, a time will come that nobody will take even your truth seriously. |
mercenary:Where's the embarrassment pls? Are you disproving my observation that IPOB members are opening threads every single day to say that it's a Buhari doppelganger that's currently in Aso Rock when it's so obvious that they're fooling themselves in the process? |
iAudio:So you're agreeing that IPOB is again hurting itself by spinning shameless lie and propaganda which always comes back to haunt them? |
What do this people (I mean IPOB members on Nairaland, because not all Igbos are sympathetic to them) gain by harping on this old women's tale which they themselves know is total falsehood? |
Has any other person apart from me, observed that since Kanu resurfaced, Nairaland seems to have again been taken over by propaganda machines of IPOB? The current spinning is that a certain Jubril is actually the one still claiming to be Buhari. Almost every day, several different threads are created to spin this tale, even when nobody is taking it seriously again like it used to be last year. |
quickberry:No source? |
Trust bloggers at your peril. If it's not coming from Premium Times, Punch, Sahara, Vanguard, Poluticsngr, etc, I'll only read and pass by. Was it not same bloggers who said Lai said he was giving Israel a 21 day ultimatum to deport Kanu to Nigeria? Lalasticlala, this is most likely another fake news busted. |

Nice. I really do think that Oshiomhole never wanted Rochas son-in-law to win the primary. But surprisingly, the way he overturned the results when his opponent won it sent across a different message. The question now is: Why should Nwosu win the election and he's now being replaced by the loser? It's not democracy when you conduct primaries and candidates emerge only to decide to send some other people's names to INEC (just like it happened in Shehu Sani's case too). Most Republican echelons never wanted Trump to win the primary in 2016, but when he emerged, their hands became tied and he automatically became the candidate. They didn't hold surreptitious meetings to replace him with Ben Carson or Jeb Bush. |
alBHAGDADI:I would have quoted several verses to back up my assertion but I'm sure it'll spin into an endless back and forth argument, so I chose not to. Can a man live without sin? NoYou're beginning to shift grounds by telling me there are terrible sins (which I agree to), but if you really believe there's no need for work (change of character, behaviour, way of live) to accompany our salvation, then nobody would even believe there's anything called sin once you have owned up to having given your life to Christ. |
Enviable road construction revolution started by Kwankwaso and now been continued by Ganduje. But that does not mean that Ganduje should not be impeached and removed. It's only in underdeveloped or mediocrity society that performance is allowed to cover up for the moral laxity of govt officials. |
alBHAGDADI:You're the one misunderstanding them or even outrightly turning them upside down to satisfy yourself! If you remove the place of sin and righteousness, what's there again to consider about repentance? Why should a murderer, fornicator, hard drug user, etc, repent if he'll continue doing the same things after verbally professing to have repented? Think about it, bro and get yourself from these bouts of heresy and pandering towards sin. |
alBHAGDADI:Total heresy. Even hardened sinners would disagree with you because this is a blatant satanic heresy and turning of the Bible upside down to suit yourself. You're right that the Scriptures say that we're not saved by works, but several other passages attest to the necessity of "works" accompanying our Salvation - the fruits of having been saved. |
bedspread:Because it doesn't make sense. |
And it shall be that when ye shall see these things that you will know that election season is upon thee. For politicians shall go to any lengths to curry favours from the masses—buying roast corn and suya by the roadside, helping a woman to braid hair, helping a woman fry akara—that even the educated and supposedly intellectual will be deceived. But behold I've told you these things that ye be not taken unawares when ye shall begin to see them. |
bedspread:What kind of comment is this? Must you comment if you have nothing germaine to contribute to the thread? |
Very true. Even before this, I knew their services were almost unnecessary and weren't running regular banking services. These are the banks where corrupt NNPC bigwigs and other officials of cash-cows agencies, APC and PDP chieftains, governors, etc, use to launder their thefts to the US, UK and UAE. |
Sani was definitely not referring to her, because everyone is saying the woman is a Christian. In the north, there are a lot of Christians who answer Arabic name even though they were born into Christian family. Another example is the Speaker of House of Representatives, YAKUBU Dogara. MODIFIED: Yakubu is not an Arabic name, but a Hausa version of Jacob. MODIFIED: It's an Arabic name! But it's spelt Yaqib. |
This was exactly the same way then senator A. T. Ahmed was returning from Lokoja and had accident and wasn't as lucky as her, and died. Politicians are already sending spiritual arrows to one another and if the arrows are bouncing back, they resort to hired assassins. |
Wicked people. The unfortunate thing is that instead of their trial to be conducted swiftly and those who are innocent acquitted and those guilty sentenced to death and hanged immediately and everybody gets to know, this case will drag on for years. |
The governor explained that government will soon send a bill to prohibit persons from taking the law into their hands. The level of lawlessness in the north is mind-boggling. So they need a special bill to be passed into law before they can punish the murderous herdsmen who see themselves as untouchable? Arrant "nonsensity". |
This is hot. This case has been ongoing since 2009 and has been a source of international attention and discourse. Thanks to all the various Christian organisations and persons who have been on Asia Noreen Bibi's case for their prayers and practical underground efforts. It paid off! Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove, Olaadegbu, ScienceWatch, Butterflyleo, Godsmopol, have you guys been following this blasphemy case? |
