Phone rang, a wonderful female voice came in with good and well mannered approach. Arrived at PU and she said I should first take her to Mega Plaza to get sth b4 we proceed to lekki ph1, my mind was already beating so fast and the discomfort was undisguished on my face despite the woman engaging me with some pleasant discussion. I managed to put a smile in and thank God she was sitting at the back seat.

Got to Mega Plaza and she decided to changed her mind that I end the ride with appology because she wouldn't want to take my time. Trip ended N400 she gave me N500 and left the changed.

I just off my app drive down to FCMB HQ to wait for the man.

Then decided to get some fruits for my family because I already know that would be my last Trip for the day as it was quite getting late.

I never even buy fruit finish wen I saw the security men looking and searching every where for me that Oga is waiting for me. Na xo I run down.

Me: Sorry sir I just went down to get sth.
Oga: its fine, let's go.

We got back to Allen, he paid me and then booked another appointment for weekend outside town with me.

Thank God that lovely woman decided to end her trip else I would have disappointed that man yesterday

So next time boss if I were in ur shoes, the restless me will take my chances, worst I'll text the rider to leave a 15 mins notice before his set to go time, cos I need to eat and may stay ard the food joint. I did sometin stupid yesterday, tho it was intentional. Guys I just noticed that Uber deducted my confirmation rate saying I declined. Actually, nothing like that happened. I did just one trip yesterday and nothing like declining. Please how do I bring this up with them? I can't find anywhere on their list to do this from the app. Thanks.

The thing is: Uber don cast. Only drivers on Bolt can smile for now. And if you have issues with Bolt how will that be possible? I worked 3 days this week and earned 11k plus aside fuel money o. I just can't but pity those still doing this work on full time without having any other means of surviving and use only UBER!

She started behaving like a witch the moment i got to her house. Asked why i parked infront of No 4 instead of 5. Then on the trip she started telling me to switch lanes every second, telling me to pass one-way cos of traffic. Shouting and ranting on my head. Never picked a more demented person in my life.
How i managed to keep mute i dont even know. Though i gave her 1star and reported her also.

One rider too gave me 1 star yesterday ọ. The thing just dropped me to 4.57 from 4.85. I managed to go up 4.7 before the day ended sha. And I gave her full star o. Just imagine. I'm going to imbibe this 1 star rating for them henceforth! .

In fact enh... Today traffic na die...suppose 9th life has returned I would have just pack hoping to work all through the 9th because dis traffic self won't allow people go out while most riders will japa and leave driver to his cross.

I tot I'd escape the ojodu1 berger traffic I never knew I was in for season 2 in Surulere, all the way from Jibowu to fund to williams down to costain is hellish.

If you love yourself just off your app and wait till tomorrow or another day b4 you work.

Some riders are just wicked. Carried one from Agungi today to Fagba side. 3 hrs journey. Even had to go follow airport road cos of traffic. Paid extra toll gate. Rider insisted she wont pay me more than the agreed fare. It was on Indriver. Local man just weak. .

I just use one of the worst road ever since I've been driving "Canal Ave" Okota, and the pethetic tin is having a better alternative but long route. She was just telling me sorry, my face strong die wit d F lose word coming out after my bumper pulled off from one side.. Got to her destination before telling me to use the alternative, only to find out its 3:10 ratio beta of the bad road I used to drop her. Human!

Listen to this advice. I regret using mine for this biz. In less than few months, you will hate the car.

Do not use this car for uber in Lagos, I repeat, do not attempt to use this car for uber in Lagos for UberBolts fares of N400. Not even for part time. Is just not worth.

If my brother was stubborn to change it for 06, I will just simply park it for private use and keep posting my brother.

Fuel consumption is always exaggerated. If there is no problem with a car, any 4-plug car fuel consumption cant be overbearing. I've seen people using honda accord 05 with a bigger engine for this hustle. Why will 10 Corolla fuel consumption be worse than big daddy or camry muscle with bigger engine, which some people still use for this biz

Every time I try to apply the brakes it works then the pedal pushes back on my foot with a grinding noise. BlackBishop please what can be the problem?

Picked some guys on uber trip at Ikeja Shopping Mall yesterday. Close to destination on Ipaja road at that command-Ayobo junction, some policemen stopped me and asked me to park. Started searching everywhere.
ME : Oga, you didnt even request for particulars/license
POLICE: No we dont have issue with you but your riders. We received a tip earlier bla bla bla.
I now realized i have a yahoo boy, his brother and two girls as my riders. I was made to turn back even follow a one way to reach their station.
Trip ended at 2400 but guy couldn't pay as all their phones had been seized. Though he promised to get back later after settlement with polce but he hasn't yet. I want to give him a little more time.

Uber thinks bringing new drivers would mitigate the effect of the banned drivers, in the long run, yes, but in the short run, they are actually losing revenue.

Cos, it takes sometime for the rookies to come to speed on how to make money.

The best drivers from a revenue perspective ( that earn most) are those that filter/select their trips. You need destination for that. Esp.in a city like Lagos

Seeing destination reduces cancellation rates for both drivers and riders. Riders will only cancel by choice not out of desperation.

It helps the driver/partner plan his/her trip.
You work on the island. You close from work, you live around Ajah/ sangotedo axis.

N uber is bringing trips going to ojodu/berger, abule egba, mainland. .

This will make d driver cancel, rider is frustrated, driver is unhappy he can't get a trip home.

Eventually driver gets blocked, Uber loses money, the cycle repeats itself.

In Lagos, some areas you don't want to go to, some drivers/partners will like to go there.
So keep the rides open.

Following the death of the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Hon Tunde Braimoh, the Lagos State House of Assembly has directed all lawmakers to go for COVID-19 test. The Assembly has also been closed for fumigation.

Braimoh, who represented Kosofe Constituency, died last Friday after a brief illness and was buried at the Ikoyi Cemetery.

He was said to be close to the late Senator representing Lagos East, Bayo Osinowo, who died on June 15 of suspected COVID-19.

Hon Temitope Adewale, the lawmaker representing Ifako Ijaiye, in a statement on Tuesday, said he had gone for the test, adding his result returned negative.

“As directed by the leadership of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Sunday, July 12, 2020, I went and submitted myself for the COVID-19 test, and I have gotten my result. The test result came out negative.”

He added that,”to this end, it is our collective responsibility to be more careful and observe all the stipulated and given rules to help us prevent the transmission of this deadly virus.”

Adewale urged residents to wash their hands regularly, use sanitisers, avoid social gatherings, and wear face masks.
