Guys, lastma officials are all out these days to make arrests. They are in every corner looking for who to devour. If you re coming from 3rd Mainland Bridge and want to connect Osborne, never enter the bend before Obalende through your left. Always maintain the right lane. If you use left lane, LASTMA guys are there who will arrest saying you took one way. I don't understand how that s one way. I kinda fell for that this morning. But goodwill rescued me. So watch out for them there. In fact anywhere you see them on the road, know that they re not there to control traffic. Na money dem dey look for. It is so bad though.
The secret is to renegotiate once you re sure the road is not clear. If rider declines, abeg run. Dont go. Else, na sorry be the case.
Olayetan: I don't support indriver ideology, so i finally took a ride on indriver yesterday while i was at home at around 3:30pm.
Of all the request I've been getting on indriver, its either i offer higher price that would be rejected or i skip the request, so this one came in yesterday and it caught my mind, it was a trip of 4800 offer from Mushin ojuwoye market to ogbeni street sangotedo.
All my mind was, the trip wouldn't take me more than 2hrs and i wouldn't use more than 1k fuel to cover it, my fuel tank was already showing reserved light so i branched filling station in mushin to refuel 2k worth of fuel.
We began the journey, i quickly opened up my map to see traffic ahead, that's when i get the shock on my life when i saw 2hrs 50min to destination, i knew at that moment i had messed up to accept that amount for that journey.
We got to empire under bridge and i saw a very long and stagnant traffic in front of me, at that moment, my mind was contemplating on dropping the woman or renegotiating the offer but something told me you already agreed on that price so don't complicate the deal.
To cut the story short, we spent over 4hrs to reach sangotedo and i used all my 2k worth of fuel on that one trip, the woman gave me 5500 including the toll gate fee i paid then i began to compare what i make on bolt with 2k worth of fuel to that of indriver.
Honestly, indriver isn't favourable when there's traffic.
So I almost cancelled this trip some mins ago cos rider wouldn't pick his call when I got to PU. I was already typing cancellation message when he called, apologising that he was busy. Getting to the pick up station, he turned out to be the celebrity papa who sang Naira Marley songs. JUDE CHUKWUKA. The man was so fun to be with. He is an entertainer per excellence. The few minutes the trip lasted, I enjoyed every bit. He speaks Yoruba more fluently than someone born in OYO Town but claims to be from Delta. For the first time, I gave out full 5 stars. He even ended up paying more than his fare. This work, at times we just need to be patient,
Thanks for this. BTW, Radautoworks over time here has stood out to be a good person. I'm sure many drivers here wouldn't want to see her name dragged in the mud just like the ìgbo guy just did. She has earned her respect and so who ever that can pay the fee at her workshop can do so. I have not even for once seen her force anyone to patronise her on this forum. So why name calling. On our way he said he was going to transfer I told him I must see alert o he said no wahala that I will see it. Got there but he was told they were done with NIMC for the day. He requested I take him back offline I agreed. Asked for 100 naira to photocopy a form he needed for the NIMC whatever I gave him(in my mind na 100 naira na.) On our way back approaching toll gate,I told him to start sending the money so that I will get alert before reaching his destination he said ok. Kept complaining of network, I decided to share my hotspot as I no fit hear story. He kept shoveling his phone like say he no sabi operate am again. And said he has sent it. I told him I need confirmation he gave me his phone. After careful examination (while driving o) I realized baba didn’t send it. He simply brought out my details but didn’t initiate the transfer. I told him to complete it and he collected the phone and claimed to have completed it. Got to drop off. I told him if I don’t see alert he isn’t going anywhere. He started saying rubbish and I changed it for him. (The fare was #1650 * 2). He asked me to wait at the gate that he will get money from his friend for me. Long story short he quickly entered their compound and I bounced inside with him. Bounced inside his family house as well. I realized there was a back road that he planned on using to get away. After he realized I was ready for wahala. His family and friends started trying to calm us down . I tell them say my money or police matter. He started making calls begging for people to transfer money to my account. After like 10 whatsapp calls 2k comot. I tell them say e remain 1400.
The whole family task themselves until 1100 show. I couldn’t drag anymore as about 4 matured men forming yahoo boys could only produce 1100. I just weak. Collected my money and left. Mean while I was making calls as well claiming I was calling the police and they were already on their way. I sent a whatsappp message to my guy to help me form police officer coming from osapa London. If not, those guys for no bring my money out. That guy didn’t have #500 in his account but had the liver to enter Taxify as e sure for an say he go scam driver.. (to and fro)
With the way they block drivers these days, it's obvious they want to leave the country soon.
Also, those leaving money inside their app, you had better stop it. Once they yank you off, they may not pay your money. I am yet to get my balance till now. even when they have deactivated me. All mails sent to them are not replied. I think Uber too dey do fraud!

Out of a total of 108 trips , completed is 103 and canceled is 5 and I was deactivated , please does riders cancellation affect drivers , the only two times I recollect canceling , I made sure I got to the pick up point and waited for 5 mins , I even made sure the rider wasn’t charged oo. I don’t understand Uber these days to be honest

The way their system blocks drivers is shitty. They need to address this. Also, they should be ready to pay driver their money immediately they believe they are ending relationship with such Driver.

I've said it here before DON'T EVER HAVE THE RIDER'S AND DRIVER'S APP ON THE SAME PHONE. IF YOU MUST HAVE BOTH APP MAKE SURE THEY'RE ON A DIFFERENT PHONE AND WITH DIFFERENT NUMBERS. that way the uber system won't be able to see any interference from their end. Also, always make sure your location is turn off if you must make use of the rider's app at any time else the system will still interfere and send wrong signal to UBER server and UBER don't joke with this kind of things.
My account has been flagged for about 4times and from all of the allegations leveled against me I came to be informed that it was because I had the two app running on same phone, since then I'd deleted the rider app from my phone. Non if I'd to make a request for FnF I use the Bolt app.
Sorry about this. If you want an UBER account again follow my previous advice to you.

I don't care as I just have to put some tin in pocket, on getting to her, she entered the car and ask if I have 1200, she need to pick pizza... me! Look straight, u must have mistaken me for Tojahh? I forget u r still outside, please end the trip and send ur account me! Send text and ask her to get life, this is not the best she can b (as per d signs of weekend olosho was written all over her). So I drove off instead of going to knock at her gate over 400 in bid to teach her a lesson, not too long a request came in from dolphin, had a bit of rough tone over d phone with the rider over asking him destination , but I have to calm down as I get to understand the person behind d phone will b ard 50... He entered the car, destination Awolowo, we end up spending 2 hrs together sitting in my car gisting, he tried all he could to school my and ask me to take my car off uber, the potential he's seeing his worth more than this. I get to learn he have 3 houses and business in ikoyi, Royce, wagon to his name, no b say he say, I saw the cars except Royce. I just got home thinking if I have spend the beta part of my time fighting that girl, nah so person go miss this wonderful chat and re-evaluation.
