don Mecuzy: Shekau Eiyaa. Good bye,They didn't say he's dead, he might have died from gunshots suffered. I strongly believe the JTF guys are making remarkable progress in their mission. God will strengthen you to wipe out the enemies of this nation. #Ahmanda Awetu! |
One thing i'm quite sure about is that everyday is for the thief and a day for the owner. If Shekau is still alive, his days are numbered! *Egberun Shekau o le sa mo Jona lowo nitori egberun Osama o sa mo Obama lowo* |

brushesz: Learn FORTRAN and PascalAt first, the way the lecturers take us FORTRAN was dumb and i can say i don't think i attended the CSC class more than 5 times in a whole semester because it was damn boring. Going back to pick it up now, i hope it doesn't get disturbing because i have got enough motivation here to go back into programming that i once had passion for. Ajibel: and qBasic and AssemblyI actually planned starting with QBasic later moving on to VBasic 6 based on the comments i have gone through as per the branch of programming i'm opting for. I'm i on track? |
brushesz: FORTRAN and Pascal are basically learner's tools. With FORTRAN, you'll learn code syntax easily. This same syntax is adopted by C/C++, Java, C#, VB and many modern compilers/ HLL. That's the reason why it's recommended for CSC undergraduates in programming courses.Didn't get you right, do you mean i can still go ahead ignoring the FORTRAN? Or i have to start with it? |
I sincerely commend you guys for your contributions here most especially the visionier of this thread (Javanian). Kudos! I must also add that coming here as a novice and reading from the first post to this point has re-awakened the passion for programming in me. I hope to start with the details i have got here soon as i have to put one or two things in place first. In the mean time, i am amazed no one has mentioned 'FORTRAN' because this is what we are been taught here in school. I guess its due to the fact it is outdated. I'm very happy and do hope to find you guruz around when i finally start to put me through. Bravo! |
jay2k: apply ur brain for 1s kwanu...read dat article well....na adoptions tins nwIs it a crime if the dude asked what he didn't know Grow up and stop hauling insult on him... |
I wish him a speedy recovery! Nonetheless, that does not erase the fact that Chief Tinubu is a regionalist, tribalist and a religion fanatic. |
Benite: ASUU IS STILL FLABUGUMALISTICATINGHow does this address the topic for God's sake Can't you just be wise for once? |
Reuben.Abati:Did this one even read the post ![]() |
Prof Corruption: This is what you get when the ill informed is given a platform to voice sophisticated ignorance. But can't some Nairalanders address issues without using swear words? The problem i see with your comment is perhaps you are narrow minded and not informed. Let me also add that you are too politically minded to forget what the writer was addressing. I need not to start an arguement here because the Great Ife students are known for their gallant struggle against oppresion in the whole nation except we want to be biased. If you will remember, this same Prof. Omole was to be made minister during Obasanjo regime but was withdrawn due to the charges pressed by the alumni of the school who knew what day July 10, 1999 was on OAU campus. I have to also educate your ignorance here Prof. Corruption that national bodies like ASUU are not only supposed to be bothered by what is going to enrich their pocket alone. Have you ever asked yourselve why the likes of PENGASSON will go on solidarity strike on some issues? This is because they have the say due to what they hold. So also ASUU, they should display a sense of comradeship as the speaker rightly said to help students in the face of oppression since the students have done all what to takes to support their cause. |
What do we gain by supporting ASUU strike? By Solanke Lagerback, UNAAB I was dissapointed with a press statement by ASUU ,LAUTECH chapter hailing the Governors of Osun and Oyo for appointing Governing Council members for LAUTECH and calling on them to appoint other principal officers of the school. It is quite unfortunate that ASUU, LAUTECH chapter and NATIONAL has not deemed it fit to condemn the unholy appointment of Prof. Wale Omole as LAUTECH Chairman, Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor. It will be recalled that the students of Obafemi Awolowo University and her alumni in time past has tiredlessly alledged Prof. Wale Omole as the masterminder of the brutal killing of OAU union leaders and students in the 1999 cult attack that left the likes of George Iwilade a.k.a Afrika, Eviano Ekelemu and others dead. Students are protesting this appointment (both on the media and on the streets) and yet ASUU has maintained a criminal silence on the issue. Students support ASUU to get improved allowances from the Government, yet it is this same ASUU members that assault and harass students; it is this same ASUU members that sits on SDC committees that recommend expulsion and suspension of student activists. It is the same ASUU members that fail to teach us in class and rather give us materials to read up. It is the same ASUU members that fail students that do not do their biddings. When they need to get increased pay and they go on strike, should we then continue to support them? In what way does ASUU benefits students? What do Student Unions gain from ASUU? Solidarity with a union should be a symbiotic relationship (i support you, you support me later). ASUU needs to be told the truth that they are the major oppressors of students and so they need to change their behaviour and actions toward students. We want to see an ASUU whose members will display a high sense of comradeship by supporting students in the face of oppression. If and when ASUU get what they need from the Federal Government, they SHOULD NOT deny students of what we need from management of our universities. They need to be told this bitter truth. Ahmandla Awetu! Culled from GREAT IFE STUDENTS' UNION facebook group page |
1. Name of state: Ondo State 2. Name of governor: Dr Olusegun Rahman Mimiko 3. Number of tenures served: 2nd tenure running 4. Years lived in state: 20 years 5. Rate: 6.8/10 6. Review (the achievements and failures): The governor has tried in the health sector. A lot of Ondo indigenes will agree with me he recorded his highest achievement in this sector with the ''Mother and Child'' hospitals. Also in the aspect of Education, he tried with the mega schools he built and the most importantly to me, i have to credit the regular payment of bursary to tertiary institution students. He also had some great urban renewal projects that did quite well. In the jurisdiction of Sport, he obviously has done productively well. Mimiko has not faired any well in the aspect of 'solid' gainful job creation. I am not talking about the much hyped useless jobs created in our neighbouring state(Osun). 7. Recommend (better strategies for developemental amelioration): [b]-Create solid gainful jobs -Developmental programmes should be distributive and not concentrated in the state capital THANKS! |
Adolak: Lets just have one first then we can have our say later.lolz...I know how great Ife students feel |
Ijogz K: Mimiko nids to understand dat dere is no permanent friend or enemy In politics..How does that affect him? Brimmie: THE ONLY BASTARD AMONG SW GOVERNORS!!Is that how you address your father at home? ETISALAT free mb is not a medium to tell us you lack morals |
Tolexander: There is always a black sheep in the family, no qualms! This shows how little your brain can function dude... I guess the reason for his absence was the fear of them not politicising it but he should have sent someone |
Adolak: Not a bad idea. At least we still gain from student union sometimesBut do you think it will still be an INDEPENDENT union? |
Adolak: I REP GREAT IFE!!!What's your opinion on the topic? |
lolzzz... |

They have paid this set of mumus called NANS again to start poking their nose on issues beyond their jurisdiction. Amaechi himself knows what the problem is only to pay you and use you against you Lords. Why don't we learn from past occurence? UNIUYO mystery is yet unresolved, the Ondo State students that died last year has got no defination. Now it is Rivers crisis. I pity person pikin. Moreover, ASUU is on strike, why not give the FG an ultimatum on that? What you will eat won't let you be filled. NANS has long lost her dignity, powess and relevance. |
