miss kanorian: i am always rightlolz what is the latest from your Egyptian pal? |
miss kanorian: noooo that's impossible. turkey don't accept undergraduate students, only postgraduate. d people @ d interview venue ought to tell you that.i chose turkey as my first choice while registering too but had to change to Cuba wen i realized d qualmsYou're right |
olalekan206: so sad just received my regret mail frm turkeye scholarship board. That is unfair afta all our effort trying to register. Well God dey!!!!!!!!!!Please kindly copy the mail how it is here...still can't grasp what this regret mail is all about. |
ezme: The regret mails is for those that applied for the turkish scholarship using the link provided by BEA. They actually didn't state explicitly if we weren't competitive enough academically but just stated that they could not invite everyone for the interview. The excuse is kind of vague to me though. Was this sent to all or the candidates they won't invite? Please let us have a copy of the message here..... any news from Russia?? lols |
ezme: I hope this is not a spurious claim? ...Btw... Turkiye has started sending regret mails.am almost lost here, what do you guys mean by regret mail ![]() |
lilly thaddy: Z cuba only fr medical students?Like your said, only four were awarded the scholarship to Cuba last year and they were all medical scholars but hopefully the slot will increase this year... |
"....Suggestion: I think its time Nairaland develop an app for BB and Android §o dat pple could get updates instantly without coming to d page...." There is an app on google playstore for Androids already...i use it. |
Anciously expecting a call from FSB... ![]() |
Godysien: ...and likely those that applied 4 Russia may follow today or by next week...If this is actually true, that will be a great one though but the selection process the Russia applicants will be subjected to doesn't suggest it will be as quick as this... all thesame, goodluck to everyone |
What a cold evening here in Ife, Osun state... Wishing you pals a great weekend ahead! |
miss kanorian: According to w@ she said. They were 3 in number n they were asked to fill an egyptian form. N all of dem chose egypTThanks a bunch Miss Kanorian. You will do this humble thread followers much good if you can just introduce this thread to that your friend so that we can discuss better. Thanks |
Hmmmm...speechless! Please miss Kanorian, kindly help us with the follow up of that your friend... Thanks for the update |
miss kanorian: Lyk seriously.... FSB is calling people. A close friend was contacted yesterday so everybody should b cautious n prayerful, just like I amCan she be serious about this? ![]() |
Haha...ama enjoying this thread once again. Its good to hear from you again Mr Bayo...Evening |
From what i think Mr Speranza Voy is saying, Russian varsities are not ranked top hopefully trying to discourage the candidates that preferred Russia as their study country. You actually tried but you just have to try again coz you got it all wrong. Using your own parameter which you obviously so much believe in, the 2013 webometric ranking of world universities, Nigeria's so called best university, Obafemi Awolowo University, going by the ranking is ranked to the 1511st place in the world and from my own personal point of view owning to my quest conclusion, University of Ibadan which is the best is placed in number 3411 in the world.Fine! If you had logically Compared these with Russian varsities still going by the ranking, you will conclude that our top varsities are no near them. The best university in Russia, Lomonosov Moscow State University is ranked 79th in the world and Russia has about 41 of its varsities in the top 2000 and 90 universities in the top 3000. Remember UI in Nigeria is in the 3411st place, FUTA(popularly known as the best university of technology in Nigeria) is ranked 5643rd in the world. Haba! with these figures, i strongly believe the aim of the BEA award to go outside the nation to get a better education is greatly justified. So Mr Voy stop discouraging people on this thread... Ahmandla Awetu! As per the issue of course of study, let me ask you, is Mr Bayode the one giving the award? He was just trying to help with the experience he has moreover he graduated from the engineering field. If you have any hidden agenda here Mr Voy, why don't you go straight to the point instead of getting us bored with your boring ideas... |
@Speranza Voy, are you a prospective scholar through the BEA programme? You don't sound like an intellectual, am sorry to say this anyway but thats how i see it... You are too combartive in your propositions and not logical about them. There are ways you can express your views without damaging another person's image... Grow up dude! Goodluck all thesame. |
gudluckfge: Turkey is my preferred country and i heard it's only for PG while am UG so what the way out pls..... I seriously need ur help...................pls what's app me on this number 08096983793i suppose a similar question like this has been answered earlier... you have the chance of being given any of your other preferred countries if you meet the criteria for selection. Goodluck! |
Saimeritus: Good Evening everyone. Counting down to the nomination and calling of the successful 1s... May Oluwa see us through. The lord is my strengthamin o....The Lord is our strength |
bjusman: good evenin all. please i need response to this my problem. 'i wrote bea test for pg and have confidence that by god's help i will pass it. but i changed my name after my degree using all the formal procedures and i attached d document 4 d change wit form submitted' do d foreign country accept it?personally i believe if the change of name is properly done and you also submitted evidences, i don't think there should be any issue...all thesame, you have to be prayerful. Goodluck bro! |

Shimasparkle: Wts up piplei'm doing great o...u? |
I just went through the Russian embassy in Nigeria website and read something i felt i should share with you... " The scholarship recipients are selected by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Nigeria through the recommendation of the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) of the Nigerian Ministry of Education. The final decision on applications recommended by the FSB as well on host universities is made by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Entry visas for students will be provided in accordance with the official list compiled by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science." This kind of give a support to the fact that the local influence on this award will be infinitesimal even if there is any... |

Good Evening Everyone....just passing by... |
tuisek: yep@bukusssss.davo i tink dat dey kinda tell u wat u want to according to their rules bt note dat it is not strictly adhered to.PS:we are in nigeria where anytin n evrytin happens.i quite got your point Tuisek... |
tuisek: @inezara.dey nt have a particular no stipulated to states.its an individual tin n if evrybdy passes in a state, dey all cn be awarded da scholrship.also if no one passes in dt state.no one will be awarded.pls, dnt be hysterical cz u nid nt be yvonne.jst relaxBut i learnt a quota system is being used for selection meaning scholars will be picked from all the 6 geo-political zones even if not broken to state level... |
tuisek: at davo93, no i dont knw what the score range is.the waec result is scored to boost ...Alright, but once your FSB inside person hints you that they already have the result with them, do well to let us know. Kudos! |
Inezara: Nobody has answered my question up till now.I thought this forum was a family thing where people's problems could be solved.Im disappoined. What exactly is your question? guess it could be due to an oversight...sorry about that anyway |
@Tuisek, thanks for the update. I'v got some questions for you; Do you know if the result will be made available to applicants or is there any means one can access the result since you said the JAMB guys will hand it over to the FSB next week? Also do you know the score range of people you term "successful candidates" whose name are expected to be sent to applied countries? Thanks. |
naijaboylive: Pls house, wats de BEA address in ABUJA i cud send ma transcript and int'l passport 2, as they were nt ready when i wrote de test. Its important pls. Tank uGuess you don't need a specific address. Like mine when i was sending my result confirmation to them. I addressed it this way "Director/Secretary, Federal Scholarship Board, Abuja" |
<(@^@)> ...... reading ....... |
mysticgal: is this merit students and will there be anoda exam this year? What do you actually mean by 'are these merit students' ? Anyway if what you are talking about is the BEA award, the exam is done once in a year and the one for this year has been done. Most of the members of this thread sat for the exam and we are earnestly awaiting the outcome. |
