OAU Students' Union on the Verge of Restoration

The students union transition committee (SUTC) has been working earnestly with the university management to see the timely restoration of a virile, responsible and responsive students’ union.
The professor Bamitale Omole led administration has approved the time-table of our dear students’ union election. Details Below;


JULY/AUGUST
- Faculty Congresses to select/ nominate 2 Representatives (1 as member electoral commission and 1 as member electoral petition committee)

AUGUST
-Orientation on workshop for members of electoral and electoral petition committees. -Nominations into electoral posts-electoral committees
-Division of student affairs meets member of electoral commission and electoral petition committees.

AUGUST
-Electoral guidelines for the contestants and voters Voters Education
-Time table for elections

SEPTEMBER
-Preparations for elections: Students Tutorials lists, list of hall residents
-Screening of contestants, manifestos, debates, etc

SEPTEMBER
-Elections: Hall executive committee, students representative council, central executive committee

SEPTEMBER
- 3-day leadership retreat

OCTOBER
- Swearing- in -ceremony

The biggest question and fear of great Ife students now is that can we have an INDEPENDENT and RELIABLE Students' Union Government as of old?
We have seen SUG of other schools mutilated by the school management when proscribed only to unban them to dictate to the newly elected leaders.

To me personally, Ideye was the worst amongst the three of them due to expectation from him. Ujah was very bad too. To be sincere with ourselves, Musa had some good runs but Keshi should make him realise that he is a winger and should stop wasting pretty chances. I don't see Musa in that first if Keshi would give Odewingie a chance.

Also, Enyeama also had two poor ball handling yesterday. Oduamadi did wonderfully well yesterday!

Ondo state in the nearest future is going to be among the leading states in the country with lots of development going on in the state... Kudos to the Governor there, Dr Olusegun Mimiko because i believe he must have influenced this decision in one way or the other and congrats to the people of Ondo state!

Lastly, for those of us that are still expectant of the FSB calling, i strongly believe if that is the plan of God for us, we will surely be awarded. Lets keep praying and hoping for the best!

Hello friends! I believe we are watchful and prayerful at this time... Looking at various discussions from online sites, i could gather that some candidates that preferred Russia were contacted starting from May 22. If we are to go by that, we should expect something positive from FSB this week. So let us keep the spirit high, be calm and prayerful. Goodluck!!!

You dont have to be an expert to predict the that the result of this SOE will be the same as that of the military assault on BH in 2009, at the end which BH was pronounced defeated with the capture and killing of Yusuf,founder of BH.
No counter-insurgency will succeed without the people being heavily involved. Americans have learnt this the hard way in Afghanistan despite the arms, intelligence and money at their disposal. I hope so but this is not the first time such plea will be coming infact, i spoke with a pal over there yesterday and was like admitting the non-payment is a normal thing over there. She added that they depend on their parents for survival as for those of them that have rich parents.

I believe we have great minds and IT literate individuals here.I need someone to help me with nice proposals i want to send to outfits. We just got a nice website up for my association and i want ti utilize that to make returns to maintain it and do other project. I don't mind paying to get a nice one.

Many of you got this after a lot of midnight candle you burnt and sincere hardwork, all i will say is God knows best and always know this that "Better is not good enough, your best is yet to come"

As for many that would not want to waste another one year at home, the OAU Predegree form is expected to be out SOONEST!!! As for those interested in any info about it, kindly read and follow the link below to get updated about it.

miss kanorian: i think i need to make it clear to my fellow pals. NOBODY(UG) should apply for the turkey scholarship. if u happen to pay attention, the source above is not a site of FSB it is for d turkey scholarship foundation. weather u apply or not as a UG student, it wont make any difference cox FSB aint ready for that. d turkey scholarship foundation is just lyk any other foundation organized by a country for scholarships. that doesn't mean dey r into d BEA system.+ i heard if u r pursuing FSB, u must not look for another scholarship. so dose guys(UG) applying might be doing more harm than good to demselves.

it might be no harm because the FSB ain't awarded one yet and not to put one in just one straight jacket which is not sure, we can apply for other available scholarship program and take up the best available option eventually...
