You can do only traditional wedding if you wish, you can marry in your father's house etc, as long as both parents approve it..

I think we should start from what is a 'Wedding' and when does 'Marriage' actually takes place.

Once a man pays the bride price, and the couple receives the blessings of the parents involved; the marriage is sealed already.

Every other thing is just Legal or religious validation.
