dogmoolah: Hello. I am a student in a Nigerian University and also learning to code. One of my biggest challenges now is Electricity supply. I struggle with light and can't seem to get anything done due to the irregular supply of electricity in my area.
I'm thinking of getting a solar setup. My budget is 350K which is basically a sacrifice as I'm not rich. I need it to power my laptop, my power bank, phone, and light bulbs I'll use at night.
Can the experts here help me? Am I making the right choice going for solar or is a simple generator better for me? Will my budget be enough? I live in a self con and I'll be finishing school soon so I'll have to pack my solar set up to wherever I move to in 6 months time.
Kei144: The judge asked the killer of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat - "Why did you kill President Sadat?"
The murderer replied- "Because he was secular."
The judge immediately asked the next question – "What does secular mean?"
The killer said, "I don't know."
The man who tried to stab the deceased Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz was asked by the judge: "Why did you stab Mr. Naguib?"
The terrorist replied, "Because he has written the anti-religious novel 'Children of Gebalawi'."
The judge showed interest: "Have you read the novel?"
The criminal replied- "No."
The judge asked the murderer of Egyptian writer Farag Fouda - "Why did you kill Farag Fouda?"
The murderer replied- "Because he had no faith."
The judge was curious to know, "How did you know that he had no integrity?"
The terrorist's reply was - "Everything becomes clear by reading his books."
The judge's curiosity increased further - "In which book of his did you find the proof of his dishonesty?"
The killer admitted, "I don't know the name of the book. I haven't read it all."
The judge was surprised: "Why didn't you read it?"
The murderer said, "I don't know how to read and write."
Hatred never spreads through knowledge. Hatred spreads through ignorance. This is how society pays the price of ignorance, the price of keeping people ignorant.
shortgun: There's a case I'm handling that reveals the wickedness of certain neighbors. Mrs. Rita took in a young girl at 11 after her mother who was battling complications from a terminal illness pleaded for help. After some years the mother passed away, the girl's family agreed she should remain with Mrs. Rita due to the good care she received there including going to school.
Now, the girl is 18, a neighbor of Mrs. Rita started poinsoning the girl's mind with harmful thoughts, claiming Mrs. Rita was exploiting her as a maid and mistreating her. This neighbor and her husband assisted the girl in running away to an unknown location. When the girl didn’t return after school hours, investigations pointed to this neighbor, as multiple witnesses confirmed they were the last to be seen with her. When confronted, the neighbors became hostile and called the police, accusing Mrs. Rita of false accusations.
Eventually, the girl was found after some days and brought to the police station by unknown individuals. She initially gave conflicting accounts, but with advanced investigation techniques, she revealed that the neighbor had taken her to another house, promising her more freedom than Mrs Rita gave her and better care.
After everything the police wants everyone involved to move on since the girl has been found, but I've told them to charge the neighbor and her husband with kidnapping, human trafficking and other charges that will keep them off the society for a long time. The irony of the whole thing is that the girl in question looks better than the children of this neighbor promising a better life
Beware of your neighbors and their association with your wards. Young people can be easily manipulated
This is exactly what I always face here in Lagos. I will struggle to get a housemaid, few months down the line when they begin to look better... Stupid boys and petty job recruiters in the area will start to deceive them of better pay elsewhere as a cashier or sales girl, chasing them up and down with fake love.
Before you say Jack, aunty will tell you one day that she is leaving and needs to go back to her town.
Months later, you'll see aunty housemaid in your estate looking terrible.
They always forget that the free accommodation and feeding they enjoy in my house when added to their monthly salary amounts to a whole lot when monetized.
All they look at is the 70k they are promised as a sales girl which can barely feed them for one month in a city like Lagos.
Rapmoney: Some group of masquerades descended on a girl mercilessly, flogging her while her boyfriend helplessly tried to fight off the masquerades.
Cultural practices that aim at women being flogged by masquerades should be looked into by our Nigerian traditional institutions and the Ministries of Women Affairs and Youth and Culture respectively.
Watch the video here:A mumu masquerade that tries this with my Sis, wife, Mum or a babe I really or truly care about after those series of flogging... They will both land in JAIL!!!
Any mumu masquerade(s) that tries this with my Sis, Mum, Wife, daughter, niece, cousin or a babe I truly care about... Will land in JAIL when the hype clear!!!
Giftiya: Five teachers (degree holders) resigned after an ND holder was made principal. According to the proprietress, the ND holder has served her for over five years, so deserves the post. Those teachers on the other hand said they cannot be governed by a lower certificate holder.
If that is the choice of the proprietor of the school, that should not be a problem. The proprietor might have identified leadership abilities and skills in the ND holder
I can do such as well... Leadership is not by degree.
M2525: Am going to fly from France to United States, planning to carry beer, any advice would be appreciated. Probably, going with the United Airlines. Thanks in advance!
A dozen... Anything above this is considered as illegal importation.
Tolezy001: Good day everyone, I am a 24 year old guy who just finished NYSC in ibadan and I decided to stay back in ibadan but my parents coerced me to come back home and now they don't want want me to leave anymore. My dad is retired and my mum is a civil servant. The family of 4 survives on her income. I have tried to all my possible best to reason with them but they are so adamant about not wanting me to go back to ibadan. I don't want to leave home without there blessing and I also don't want to stay back home because I feel I am more focused when I was not at home.
I really need your advice guys 🙏🙏

turmacs: Guy's jokes aside, If you aren't rich or wealthy, hope you have a plan on how to become it? Because if you're just working a 9-5 like a zombie, without any plan on how you'll get out of the rat race and become a dollar millionaire, you're making a very big mistake, time dey go ohh. people wey dem born for 2006 now na 18 years ohh, hmm.
I know so many people say this about working 9-5 daily. But in reality, there are some specialize jobs that are worth more than businesses.
I will give you some examples: Been an oil company worker Ship captain Pilot Ceo of international companies Ceo of Bank Military Generals
To mention a few... It takes time to build to rise to the top no matter what you venture in. So, getting a job in not always so totally bad!
What I tell people is, as you work your 9-5 jobs climbing up the career ladder, ensure you invest in worthwhile ventures.
The picture below is an obvious fact. As a man without Money, Life is already Dealing with you 2-0! A man without money is worst than HIV and Cancer Combined! As a man without Money, these are things you should NEVER do:
1: A Man without Money should NEVER, i repeat NEVER have a business with S*X, Infact as a Man without Money, you should NEVER have a Business having an Erection.
2: As a Man without Money, you should NEVER be seen Smiling, laughing or being happy, you not having money is enough reason for you to be sad everyday of your life
3: A man without Money should Never Think of Marriage! You MUST focus on making it in life FIRST before thinking of Marriage!
4: If by MISTAKE as a Poor man, you then Eventually get a girl pregnant and it leads to you marrying her, then You should NEVER think of having more than that 1 child.
In as much as I unrested your point on this, I must say; it is not a crime for a man to be broke without money.
A man might be doing well financially today and still go broke in life later on.
We have to stop this notion of making it seem like been broke is a big deal...
As a matter of fact, one can have a good paying job today, get married and have kids. Then, get sacked and go broke. But that is not all to life!!!
All that matters is a man having prospects and a never give-up spirit in life.
GrandBroz: I have seen people argue about this issue alot and while some guys say they can wash the underwear of their partner some other guys see it as disgusting or degrading.
What is your thought about this act
That is why there is washing machine...
As regards the above question, it all depends on her value... Some people's girlfriends are more valuable than some housewives.
Carcholce: He just came to tell us his wife in Nigeria just gave birth. We celebrated with him. But the confusing thing is, this man has not gone to Nigeria for the last two years.
The question nor let me ask am. Could it be what I am thinking? The wife has not been here before.
If all your premises are right; I am afraid your conclusion is valid!
YOLO1: I don't have much knowledge about TVs. Budget is 1.5m. Would love to go for either Hisense U8K (65 inches) which goes for 1,487,000 or LG C3 (55 Inches) which goes for 1,538,900. I would appreciate your honest review as I am buying either of the 2 this weekend. Thanks
MadeINchenzen2: I really love this girl, but the first time we made out, it was a terrible experience, everything was fine until the room started smelling like a fish house, a rotten one for that matter... The stench from her vejay can damage nostrils.
How do I help her with this, it's an issue obviously, but I wouldn't want it to have any impact on our relationship because I really like this babe.
How do I help her without sounding offensive.
Your contributions with be valued and highly appreciated. Thanks
It is an infection... Get her treated after taking a swab smear test
