Boateng is definitely better than Badstuber, He has the natural defensive skills.

Badstuber is just an "Oju Zobo" defender that clears anything in sight.

On the Muller situation its tricky because Muller does a lot of work from Defence to midfield to attack and also a very potent goal threat with Klose and Podolski

Marin as a replacement offer tricky skillfull runs but doesnt track back, He is light weight, not a goal threat.

Kroos as midfielder and Ozil on the right wing does the same as above cant offer the work rate of Muller and goal threat.

Cacau is another option seems to be the closest to Muller but he is injured and a doubt
