aniffy4eva: I'm usually not the pessimistic type but i'm going to have to be honest here. Until you are sure about what business you want to do, don't even start. Please don't listen to people (they'll soon come online tongue)telling you to come "home" and "figure it out".. just don't...

Also be prepared for the culture shock. I know you are tired of US but trust me, you must be mentally prepared for business in Nigeria (and with Nigerians). When you eventually get the idea/business you want to settle for.. try a pilot (ie test-run) with a part of your savings (e.g. $5,000 or less). Also consider running an online store where people can actually purchase your goods without you actively staying in Nigeria and would probably cost you less. This should provide you with some knowledge that'll aid your final decision.

As for people who have recently relocated... there are good stories and also bad stories, we'll only just advise you based on the side of the divide we fall on as individuals. However, from my experience, the "bad" greatly outnumber the "good"....

Like we say down south.. abeg think am well well. cheesy
Chairmannnnnnn you just bone everyone

OP, No try am. 21,000 USD is how much in Naira like 3m Have you thought of where to live? The shop you would rent? the items you would buy in, The other things you need like Genrator, household equipment etc

WHy are you not happy in America? Do you have a family? Is your family relocating with you? Or are you relocating with hopes that you might get a husband too in Nigeria like many before you have done?

What do you do in America? Any degree? If you are a professional you might want to try getting a job in Nigeria and test waters.

I also hope you have your papers complete cos if it doesnt work out in naija you can grab a flight ticket and run to America back

Family › Re: Can You Allow Your Child To Live With Another Person? by dayokanu(m): 5:25am On Jan 02, 2013
It depends on who the person is and the circumstance

If my kid has to go to school in a far away city and a very responsible family friend lives there, I dont have any reason to stop him

Family › Re: Can You Remarry Your Divorced Spouse by dayokanu(m): 4:39am On Jan 02, 2013
It depends on the circumstances surrounding the initial breakup

If it was due to childishness and some minor issues then I would consider coming back

But if the initial breakup was bordering on issues like infidelity, domestic violence and other serious issues I would advise not

And the cliche of not going back to your vomit is nonsense

If you used to work with a company left them and years later they gave you a very good offer would you also use that cliche?
Politics › Re: Buhari Marginalised Yoruba - Afenifere by dayokanu(m): 3:19am On Jan 02, 2013
Eziachi: He crated Umoru Dikko and he is not neither Igbo nor Yoruba.
They said Buhari didnt persecute northerners

Aliyu Sabo Bakin Zuwo was elected Governor of Kano State, Nigeria in October 1983,
He was arrested by the Buhari regime which came to power in a coup on 31 December 1983.[4] N3.4 million was said to be found "stacked up" in Zuwo's home when it was searched by the new military government.[8] In 1985 a Special Military Tribunal sentenced him to 300 years in jail. He died in 1989.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 3:02am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: what a troglodyte!!
you mean the game against ZTE is not a uefa champions league competiton? so which football association organised that game? ogbomosho local government or bayelsa state government? you mean the goals he scored against ZTE were not counted among the 44 goals ruud scored in all competitions in 2002/3? you mean the goals were not counted among the all-time champions league scorer's charts? you are a disgrace to the individual that mentored you in football! every goal counts. ruud made a total of 11 champions league appearances in 2002/3 n scored 14 goals( same as messi).

yet again, coogar leaves your face in a poop. you are very clueless!
You are a tool, So a goal scored in the qualifiers is the same as the competition?

If they ask you who was the top scorer in Euro 2012, We would count and add the goals scored in the Euro 2012 qualifiers?

Or isnt it UEFA who organize the qualifier and the EURO cup?

The game vs ZTE was a CL QUALIFIER game mumu
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 2:37am On Jan 02, 2013
The goal scored vs ZTE is not in the UEFA champions league it was scored in the qualifiers and never is it counted together

Only an idiot would count the goals scored in Playoff games

Ask UEFA how manu goals Ruud scored in the Champions league in 2003
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 2:18am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: you are a tool if you think ruud scored 12 champions league goals in 2002/3. is wikipedia is free online, go and check. i could give you a breakdown of all the goals he scored in the champions league that season. ruud scored 14 goals in 11 champions league games. the link you posted is flawed and you are a disgrace if you don't know van nistelrooy holds the record since 2003.
UEFA doesnt know who scored what in their competition again Its wikipedia that knows?

If you want to ask the age of a child should you ask the father or wikipedia?

Its too early in the year to be disgracing yourself GUFFANTI

I dont see anything wrong in it as long as its not all night to interfere with the childs sleeping time.

Theres nothing wrong in drinking beer as long as you are an adult. If my child wants to drink beer I would tell him to wait till he is 18

The number 1 man in the world Barack Obama drinks beer
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 1:46am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: it's barely 48 hrs in 2013 and you are already dropping clangers - messi has not broken the scoring records in champions league - he only matched it. ruud van nistelrooy scored 14 champions league goals in 2002/3 season for man utd and his total tally that season was not 91 goals. try again......
Guffanti

You don start again and its barely 24hrs in 2013

Nistelrooy scored 12 goals in 2002/2003 Champions league this is the champions league and not on your Play Station

This is from UEFA website

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 1:32am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: who said messi would not score goals in the premier league? the question is - would he score 91 goals in england? the number of shyte clubs in la liga clearly outnumber the number of shyte clubs in the premier league. the opposition in spain is shyte and they still want to play to win. the clubs in england that are shyte do not play to win, they play not to concede so there's absolutely no way messi or ronaldo would score the obscene numbers they get in spain here in england.
Lionel Messi scored 14 goals a record in Last years CL which he didnt play any La Liga side.

So if he can break Champions eague record why wont he break EPL record
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 1:03am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: how does that matter? drogba has scored more than a dozen goals against arsenal - so it then means drogba would score 91 goals in la liga?
Does Arsenal play in La Liga? How does messi not scoring vs Chelsea affect the fact that he would obliterate any league in the world
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 12:53am On Jan 02, 2013
coogar: messi will not score 40 goals in the english premier league never mind 50.
what do you think this league is? the strength of the league is fairly distributed...unlike in spain where there's a wide gulf between the top 2 and the other 18 clubs. are we talking about the same messi that did nothing against chelsea that could only finish 6th last season?
And how many goals has messi scored vs Arsenal who play in the same EPL
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Imagine if Messi played in the Epl, would he score 91 goals In one year? by dayokanu(m): 12:25am On Jan 02, 2013

SIR! WITH ALL DUE RESPECT LOOK AT YOUR POST AND THINK AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!
Because mediocre La Liga teams are at par with EPL top sides.

You seee wetin Athletico madrid do Chelsea for Super cup

If Chelsea or City were in the La Liga they would be on the level of Valencia and Malaga
