Torres for Moses would be a move I would support

You cant say Torres is too weak and now play Hazard in the role even though I might understand pushing Hazard up to minimize the defensive failings from his side, But you would end up losing way too much that a natural striker offers

And who would say Lucas Carrick Bouquets or Mikel are the best players in their team. Makelele was an important player in the teams he played for. But saying he was the most influential is simply overrating it.

Bring Stoke and lets see how they would fare vs Barcelona

the same Stoke that was ripped inside out by Valencia how many seasons ago?

Makelele was a specialist a DM who knew how to break up play more than anyone in the game.but thats where Makeleles usefulness ended. Going forward, One of the key jobs of a midfielder, Makelele was beyond useless at it

Fiorentino perez was quoted to have said Makelele is one of the most useless players when you are in possesion

‘’We will not miss Makélelé. His technique is average; he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn’t a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres. ’ – Read Madrid president Florentino Perez commented about Claude Makelele after his departure from Bernabeu to Chelsea FC in the summer of 2003.

And definitely a midfielders job goes beyond winning possesion. It involves passes, pressing and scoring

Si IMO Lampard was more influential than Makelele because he did everything a midfielder was supposed to do, tackle, press, assist and score

Maybe you should ask yourself why Jose Mourinho has such laudable things to say about Lampard

coogar: mr dayokanu, all those stuff are for the romantics.....:
tell us one attribute that sets lampard apart from his peers in the premier league...i don't even want to extend it beyond the shores of england! what is that thing lampard does better than other midfielders in this league?

waiting.......
You answer was bolded here. from the mouth of Lampards coach and possibly the best coach of this generation

dayokanu: Indeed, Mourinho`s words echo the thoughts of us all in his eloquent description of just what Lampard means to Chelsea.

Here`s what he had to say.

"Lampard has been a fantastic captain and great example for everybody."

"He was the leader on the pitch absolutely fantastic. He is unique. There is no toher player like him."

"You can find a player who defends very well in midfield, one who has a great shot, another one with a great long pass."

"Frank has everything, with the way he defends, the way he presses, his choices - and his number of goals."

"For a midfielder to score 15 or 20 goals a season is something unique, it is fabulous."

Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti hailed Frank Lampard as one of the world's best midfielders after he grabbed a brace in the Blues' 3-0 win over Birmingham at Stamford Bridge.

Florent Malouda opened the scoring in the fifth minute but Lampard sealed a fine win with two goals to put Chelsea one point ahead of Manchester United at the top of the Barclays Premier League with a game in hand.

Ancelotti said: "We use all the pitch to attack and so Frank is able to run into the box to score. I think he's the best running midfielder in the world. He has this fantastic quality to time his run into the box.

“When I first arrived at Chelsea, I sat all the players down and told them they were fantastic – but they were not champions,” Mourinho said.

“I said if they wanted to be champions, then I could help them but the desire had to be in their hearts and their souls – then I looked into their eyes.

“With Frank, it was very easy to see that he wanted so much to be a champion. I am proud to have worked with such a man.

“When I am asked who are the best players I have worked with I will always answer that Frank is among the very greatest.

“Not because he has been successful, but because he is driven every day to become better. This is not a man who is satisfied, there is always hunger in him to push on, to be better than he was yesterday and to give something he has never given before.

“To me, that is a sign of a perfect professional.

In the last 7 years Only Lampard was nominated for WPOTY

Terry Drogba Cech were part of the cast but the single outstanding player was Lampard Mr consistent

There were seasons when Drogba play was below par. Same with Terry. But lampard ever consistent

And someone said lampard disappeared in Big games?

Are you serious?

vs Bayern 2005 Lampard, vs Barca 2007 Lampard, vs Barca 2012 Lampard, Do games get bigger than these?

Ujujoan: Actually, a woman's need to work may not necessarily be from lack of money. It could be for self fufillment, career advancement, making one's impact in the society e.t.c!
Your wife shouldn't just be defined as Mrs. 'you' and mama 'your kids' . . . A person should be MORE than that!
Why else will she have to go to a University and get a degree (except you married an illiterate).
If you want a slave for a wife, who's only purporse will be to satisfy YOUR needs, then get ready for a bitter bitter wife!
Are you saying all these to seduce me?

damiso: Before i started living in the west i had this erroneous impression that western men were the best husbands smiley.romantic caring helpful etc.fa fa fa foul.People are people full stop.We all have challenges its just the diff enviroments that react to it differently.I watched a documentary recently and there was a poll that said women sort of resent their men cos they now have to work and oftetimes still have to do lion share of domestic chores.Western women face the same challenges of gender roles being merged. So pls women taking care of the home is not peculiar to one culture or people
