elampiro: I don hear. You don win.

In 15 years time, it will remain the same. I am never going to watch Bundesliga, Seria A and Laliga as much as I watch EPL. I watch a bit much of Laliga.

I have many areas in life I have interest. Even on TV, I have lots of other programs of interest. I am a lover of reality shows/competition like Xfactor, American gots talent, idols, so you think you can dance, etc. For instance, if there is a clash between Xfactor and a match let's say Man C vs Villa. I will watch the Xfactor.

When I go to internet, my interest first is religion websites. When I am through before I will check facebook, nairaland and yahoo news, etc.
Are you kidding me? Which straight guy would sit and watch "So you think you can dance" or "America got talents" what else I am sure you like wedding shows, Real housewives of Atlanta, Oprah Winfrey show

Now your bromance with coogar is starting to make more sense

elampiro: @dayokanu, I don't argue about the aspect of the game I am limited. I hardly argue about Bundesliga except when it's the big 1 or 2 teams. I won't argue Seria A so deeply. I also did not argue about this their so called yeye BMI.

Any argument I involve myself I must have watched the match or an area I have been equipped over the years.
You dont know La Liga, You dont know Bundesliga you dont know Serie A, even the EPL it wasnt until DSTV days and Rooney times before you started watching yet you make too much noise

I am sure all you know about football can be written on a grain of rice.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dayokanu(m): 4:08pm On Nov 20, 2013
elampiro: Have you ever seen me arguing Bundesliga? It's an uninteresting league. I can't bore myself with unnecessary details.
Yet players from this uninteresting league beat Players from the interesting league in Wembley.

elampiro: Plenty words? If I wanted to argue that match with you, I will still be on it now. Where did I use plenty words?

You started the joke by saying Germany used team C players.
Everyone who watched the game knew this is true

They started a 33yr old Keeper making a debut. Every sport analyst know this wont look anything like the German starting team in a serious game yet they handed a buttsmack to the 3 rats as usual

elampiro: I am okay with the football knowledge I have. Football is just an entertainment to me. I am not a sports writer or TV analyst. If you, Coogar, Starboard and anyone else want to claim superiority of knowledge, it's ok. How many matches can one even watch a weekend? It looks to me it's you guys who spend time reading papers, watching clips and studying opta stat.
Then you should stay where your football knowledge puts you not as an elite but as a below par one who gets his stats from pool sheet, Doesnt watch games, Just argue to just say something

Plenty words are no substitutes for facts
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dayokanu(m): 3:42pm On Nov 20, 2013
coogar: but it was later cleared sheringham assisted the second goal, not beckham.

then today again, you said united scored off 2 corner kicks delivered by beckham. that first goal was a pin-ball moment. beckham's delivery was no longer an issue as the equaliser itself was a goal mouth scramble..
Beckhams corner was what led to the goal mouth scramble and I didnt credit Beckham with the first assist, it was the second one I erroneously credited to Beckham
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dayokanu(m): 3:38pm On Nov 20, 2013
elampiro: AntiRooney Coogar and Starboard, you guys are really funny.

I knew the point I was trying to make with the England shot on post. Dayokanu knew people didn't watch the friendly match due to the qualifying matches payed simultaneously.
WHo are the people that didnt watch the friendly? You think everyone depends on Pool sheets for football analysis?
The match and he was exaggerating his comments by saying Germany were wasting chances and he never made it look like England even played. Unfortunately stat made it look like England did not even make a good attempt. So I had to find a way to let people know that England could also have scored
.

Exagerrating my comments? Go to any football webite check the number of save Joe Hart made and compare with Weidenfeller

Below was what BBC wrote abi BBC too was exagerrating

"Hart was England's outstanding performer, saving superbly from Mertesacker before his goal and from Marco Reus and Mario Gotze in the second half."

"England hit the post against Germany but failed to have a shot on target in a home game for the first time since losing 1-0 to Scotland in the second leg of their Euro 2000 play-off in November 1999. Source: Opta"
I wasn't really serious with my response to dayokanu last nite on the friendly match. Even my listing of Carrick, Baines, as having missed the match was just to say something, but not to argue seriously. He was even accusing me of running away.
And what do you call this? You didnt watch the match you were busy reading pool sheets yet came here just to say something for the sake of it?

Thats not how intelligent beings behave
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by dayokanu(m): 3:20pm On Nov 20, 2013
coogar: dayokanu, this is fraudulent....
there was about a period of 10 secs between beckham's delivery & the first goal. actually, it was a pinball moment with schmeichel & about 5/6 other players touching the ball in a goalmouth scramble before the goal - how can you credit that goal to beckham?
This was my initial post in October. It was the second goal assist I credited to Beckham not the first

dayokanu: Prove me wrong

Giggs assisted the first goal in the 1999 epic final, Beckham assisted the goal for the second .

I would help you self diagnoze your insanity

More needed from Sturridge

Daniel Sturridge: Ineffective

With eight goals so far this season, Daniel Sturridge is the joint-top scorer in the Premier League and his exciting partnership with the brilliant Luis Suarez has raised hopes of a similarly devastating partnership being formed with Wayne Rooney at international level. And yet, despite brief flashes of interplay between the duo, England rarely troubled the Germany defence where it mattered. In fact, the home team failed to register a single shot on target against Jogi Low's side and Sturridge himself rarely threatened to be the man to find the breakthrough. For a player in form and eager to impress, that has to be regarded as an opportunity wasted

elampiro: It is clear you have watched plenty of youtube or you have watched these videos again recently or you are a man of 45 years of age to have been so passionate about knowing every player name in 1992 and being able to easily recall now.

Till now, when Man United play big teams as Porto, Monaco, Leverkusen I will not be able to mention more than half of the players names the next day. I will just know we played against 11 men and I saw some of their good players which I could recall their names.

My interest in football is limited to EPL, UCL big matches. Some Laliga matches particularly Madrid and Barca fixtures. Seria top fixtures, sometimes when Bayern and Dortmund meet. Very scantily other leagues. Then the FIFA, CAF, COPA, EURO cups, etc. When Man United beat Leverkusen 4-1, ask me about who scored the one for Leverkusen, I don't know and I don't intend to know. It adds nothing to me. The ones I knew are already enough stress.

So if you like shout from the roof top EPL fans know nothing about other leagues or how elampiro can't remember some things in early '90s, I don't care and won't ever care. I know one of our heroes then was a certain Jin Pere @apin (not sure of the names spellings), but ask me questions about him now, I have since forgotten.
I have a relative who watches football like the way a bank manager is glued to his computer. He watches even South Africa league and knows details. May be in this your new line of argument, I can call him to come and face you. Lol

All those details you want me to know, may be when I become a football analyst for Super Sports, I can begin to make effort to be so detail. If I am not so detail now is memorizing names of players, you could imagine how it was for me in 20 years back when I was preparing to write WAEC, JAMB, etc.
This is just going to buttress the fact that you know nothing about European football and dont watch games just read online

How would you know when you only watch Man Utd and focus on Rooney. The first step is to watch the games and know at least the stars of the opposition

By the way how did Jin Pere @apin (not sure of the names spellings) become one of your heroes?

BTW go and learn about this pose at Wembley

elampiro: I was not as detailed with European players but I watched very ery many many matches. I knew many English plauers like Rush, Lineker,
This is what we are all saying you were clueless about European football until the days of DSTV.

You need to now calm down and learn the rudiments not just jump into arguments

Copy and paste wont reveal everything to you in football

Copy and paste would never relive great moments like Nayim lobbing David Seaman in the Cup winners cup final in 1995,
It would never reveal to you the lightning fast counter attack of Hector Cupers valencia
It would never relive the joy of watching Valeron and Diego tristan at Deportivo
It would never duplicate the exhilarating CL semi final game between Dortmund and Man Utd in 1997 where the Iron curtain defence reigned
It would never give you the joy of watching George Weah and Ginola at PSG molesting every defence in 1995
Nor the fleet footed Marco Simeone of AC Milan with his white boot running the Reiziger almost ragged or the battle of Del Piero vs Bogarde in 1996

Nor the greatest hat trick of all time scored by Rivaldo to qualify Barcelona for the CL, Nor the Free kick hat trick by Sinisa Mihajlovic, Or Marcelo Salas taking a dump on the Man Utd defence in the 1999 Supercup, Nor Lars Ricken scoring with his first touch in the CL final of 97 nor The cock pose of Andy Moller, Poborsky lobbing the Portuguese keeper, Davor Suker rounding Andreas Kopke and in Euro 96, and the Croat getting their revenge 2yrs later

How do I want to start explaining the chemistry between Gheoghe hagi, Iliev Dumitrescu and Florin Radicioui or the combination of Martin Dahlin, Thomas brolin and Kenneth Andersen you wont even read about the combination of Stiochkov, Kasimir balakov, Emile Kostadinov backed by Iordan "apari" letchkov all in US 94

Roland17: LAST WORDS...

And what impact did the second coming of Diesler and effenburg have in both legs?

Kos played alongside a waste pipe who shouldn't have been invited to the squad in the first place based on his form with Monaco(Abidal), Kos shouldered the bulk of defending in the first leg as Abidal was caught unawares severally..

Kos made a very poor decision with that challenge on zozulya, he took things personal with Zozulya but if he had not been sent off he would have partnered Varane tonight no questions..

Sooo you are scared of putting Ribery in the same conversation as CR7 and Zlatan? grin grin What exactly did Ribery contribute in both legs, I gave you names of players that single handedly took France to Brazil (Valbuena, Cabaye and Sakho)

Simply put, Ribery was missing in action in both legs, he was a non factor and was never a threat.
Basically Koscielny was about sending France out of the world cup before Ribery, Valbuena, Cabaye, Pogba Sakho etc rallied round to save France from the ditch Koscielny landed them

What a waste pipe

Without Kos Clean sheet

elampiro: England had no Cahil, Baines, Carrick, Welbeck, Walcott, Cherberlain. That Lallana is worse than Brown Ideye is goal scoring. I saw him against Chile wasting clear chances.
Cahill Baines etc played against Chile and were woeful and they had to be dropped for poor performance

Today they played Ashley Cole and Gibbs who are more experienced and better than Baines

How can anyone be complaining they missed Baines when Cashley and Gibbs dey there?

They had Gerrard, Rooney(Top assist provider in EPL) inform Sturridge(Joint top scorer in EPL) and youre complaining about Walcott, Welbeck and Chamberlain who have barely played this season? Does that make sense?

Would Portugal play Ronaldo and still complain they were missing Pauleta, Would ma Utd play RvP and complain they were missing Macheda?
Or would barca play Messi and complain they are missing Tello?
