The cost of Oxlade is more than that of Arteta or Gervinho, Vermalaen or even Mertersacker.

For a club struggling, That was not a much needed buy

When Man Utd bought Nani they just won the EPL, and didnt have budgetary constraints.

Compare and contrast

You are dumb

Is he what Arsenal neds now? NO. The money spent on Oxlade could have been spent on other players who would have delivered immediate result.

A club like Arsenal whose immediate future and competitiveness is in jeopardy shouldnt be signing a 16-17yr old.

A man who is naked and hungry yet went to buy a movie ticket for a bargain price.

Is that a waste of money? YES

Simple common sense

We all know Aregbesola is supervising corruption in Lagos as Tinubu's pointsman, because Fashola is not playing ball and wants to get on with it. Aregbesola is deliberately disrupting Lagos on behalf of Tinubu. It would be useful to see where stolen funds are traced to in a few years time. The love for Lagos from Osun has much more to it.

Beaf, God have mercy on your soul. You ought to be tied to the stake and shot till dead. Remember its good to have money and the nice things of life but while you are it remember we will all give account before our creator. You had better change your ways before its too late. A young promising man like you, just take a look at your life. Is this the reason God gave you good health and a sound mind? You should be ashamed of yourself. Despite the fact I do not need the govt for anything, the impoverishment I see around me daily gives me a broken heart. Chief Boloko and senator brume never thought of their end to come abruptly but today, they must give account and they can not reverse their deeds. I don't understand you. Should Bankole be jailed without trial? His case is in court and I have few doubts that the phucker is headed for jail.
We Nigerians need to develop a reading habit and a long attention span, because we tend to react by instinct all the time. It isn't good.

Michael Jackson died 2 years ago, yet his doctors trial is only coming up now; the story is similar with that fool called Mutallab. Why can't we just allow the courts do their thing? We aren't running a dictatorship where people are just summarily flung in jail or made to disappear.
Bros mi, What happened to Saminu Turaki and co more than 4 yrs ago

The former governors are among the 15 ex-state executives who were invited by the EFCC to appear over allegations of money laundering and corruption, however Orji Uzor Kalu, whose mother, Eunice Kalu was also declared wanted did not honor the invitation by the EFCC claiming that he already obtained a court order from an Abia State High Court barring the EFCC from arresting or prosecuting him for corruption.
Shortly after, he traveled to the US and then the UK from where he flew to Abuja, Nigeria to participate in discussions with the ruling party in talks over the formation of a "Government of National Unity". He never made it past the airport as he was arrested at the airport and detained by EFCC operatives.

Two others, Joshua Dariye of Plateau State and Saminu Turaki of Jigawa State were also docked by the EFCC.

A source told Saharareporters that the former governor of Taraba, Reverend Jolly Nyame was not charged today because he agreed to refund N50 billion to the EFCC. Also the former governor of Enugu State and current federal Senator, Chimaroke Nnamani was said to have escaped from Nigeria overnight. He was interrogated by the EFCC yesterday but was allowed to go back home.

This is rich coming from someone who lives in Houston. The bad name Nigerians have in Texas is mainly due to them

THIRTY years of age Nigerian, Mr. Tobechukwu Enyinna Onwuhara aka Tobe X, has been declared wanted in the United States of America (USA) for stealing various sums of money totalling $44 million (about N6.6 billion) from people’s bank accounts within three years.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, while declaring Tobechi (short form for Tobechukwu) wanted, described him as a criminal who used sophisticated methods to obtain personal information on banks’ customers’ accounts and also their numbers.
FBI has added Tobechukwu to its list of ‘Most Wanted Fugitives.

According to reports from FBI, Tobechi was born in Houston, the US, by a wealthy Nigerian father, Prince Onwuhara who himself was a popular fraudster who made fortune from 419 before he settled in America
A Nigeria native who lives in Houston was indicted Friday on charges he sought $42 million in false Medicare and Medicaid claims by paying folks $100 each to sign blank health care forms he would later submit Umawa Oke Imo, 54, a permanent resident alien in the United States and native of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was indicted this week but first charged and detained in June.

I always enjoy your indept analysis of events in this forum. Most of us visit the site just to read from you. keep up the good work and never be deterred by the likes of Dayokano and olabukola. Myself is a registered Arsenal fan and communicate with players and staff via twitter. AFC has come to stay. Not even relegation will reduce its fanbase to the likes of spurs, Aston villa worldwide. Its not by magic that snopdogg is a fan of AFC and sharing his royalty in Uk now.  Been long i read from HNIC. He's also good. Debosky keep the spirit high, proudly too. You guys are da bomb.
Keep deceiving yourself.

Do you know what the fanbase of Notthingham Forest was like in 1980's? Do a comparison of fanbase Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal in 1981 and do in 2001

Where were the Ajax fans of mid 90's? Where are the Juventus fans of old? .

Even in the 1990's how many of you were Arsenal fans? In the early 2000 how many ppl were Chelsea fans? in 2002 The guy who said  he was a Chelsea fan was thought to be a troll

When I was in University, In the early 2000's in a full Fajuyi Hall TV room, There was usually no more than 4 barcelona fans. I used to support them when the Madrid fans descend on them , Nowadays barca Fans can fill the whole of Lagos State

The truth and plain truth is this : Success attract fans.

Continue in your losing streak and more fans would come, A lot of Arsenal fans have already starting shifting to Barcelona and Man City

Trivia

Neuer has conceded only 155 goals, an average of 0.95 goals against per game. That makes him the league's best keeper of all time (measured on players with at least 100 appearances), ahead of his predecessors in the Bayern goal Kahn (1.04), Raimond Aumann (1.06) and Jean-Marie Pfaff (also 1.06). Overall, Neuer last picked the ball from the back of his net almost 17 hours ago
Our CL opponents Napoli and Man City are doing quite well in their respective leagues

Debo, that one is for the board to worry about jare, I'm not sure they really mean all these statements or maybe they just want to relieve the pressure on Arsene and put the buck squarely where I've known it to always be, the board.

When Liverpool descended to Europa, their fans didn't go anywhere and they are the ones being touted to overtake us now, its the ribbing from other fans that might be difficult to accept. Attendances will pick up when results pick up anyway they can always sell RVP to make up the shortfall or take the leveraging route as well if push comes to shove or even opt for a rights issue for capital injection. I'm sure that would make Usmanov's day as with all the noise people are making he is still moping up shares like a dyson.
Arsenal is run as a business, a well run one. That is the simple and bitter truth, I think even the press is realising that. I expected more anti Wenger rhetoric after the defeat to Spurs but the deluge I expected is yet to materialise, maybe people are finally smelling the coffee.
Probably everyone is tired of ribbing Arsenal? Check on this forum How many people bothered with ribbing Arsenal? Losing has become a norm for them now I mean 4 losses out of 7, The papers must have run out of stories to say about ARsenal

Actually most of your enemies pity you now, Cos they are thinking How low can it get again.

I am sure in the 80's , Ppl would be ribbing Notthingham Forest and Aston Villa when they started declining. In the 1990s nobody even bothered about them again

In 2005-2010 Arsenal losing was news, Nowadays Its the norm rather than the exception

There's a big difference - the payments are a measure of the man's ability to take care of the daughter and not a case of selling the daughter.

As for 'sanity' don't bet on it - if the man himself was abusing the girl's mother and deems that as normal, why would he remove his daughter? He will simply regard it as a normal part of marriage. Abusers aren't necessarily insane, they just hold a different worldview.

The reason is that Igbo families see their daughters as an investment and demand an arm and a leg as dowries. Which man after paying over $100,000 in dowry and brideprice would send the wife out or divorce her?

On the flip side Yorubas give their daughters for free based on the notion that No amount is enough to buy their daughter and can easily recall her back from a dysfunctional marriage.

They would rather have a living divorced daughter than a dead married one.

Also you might want to consider that Wife killing is very reduced among the Yorubas because they divorce easily.

You know the Igbos take the word TILL DEATH DO US PART literarily
