Hotstepper: Thanks Hotstepper, yes I have seen Shedrian college. Then for UFT in Mississauga they don’t offer nursing program. I was hoping there are other schools that I am missing that offer Bs.N in Brampton. Thanks so much. Are you a Registered Nurse? |

I have been active (reading lol)on the sister thread but was pregnant then, it was a means to pass time then, and I told myself I will definitely give back when I have put to bed and landed too. So below is my landing gist. Airport waka: before leaving for the airport I have packed our bags and weighed them with the hand held scale ( it isn’t accurate so always weigh your bags to be below the 23kg) I did but when we got to the airport our bags were weighing 27kg, 26kg etc somehow the guy at the counter over looked it. Maybe because of my crying baby, I don’t know but the total number of bags that we were entitled to as a family wasn’t complete so maybe he did the total number of kg for our family. Anyway we got to the airport 3hours before departure so we had enough time to drop off our bags at the counter since we checked ourselves in already from home. We went outside to spend one hour with our family before going in to wait for departure time. N:B come to the airport early so you don’t rush things and get confused. We waited for a couple of mins and pre boarding started, we weren’t much on the queue, it was a 12am flight so the airport was quite and I loved it. We boarded our Turkish airline to Istanbul the flight was small. Flight: The food was not good for me I have never liked any airline cuisine though. Turkish is known for good food but anything that isn’t Nija food is not a good one for me lol. The inflight entertainment was good. Their air hostesses were kind and good, my baby slept all through but the bassinet was just on top of my husbands leg which wasn’t good he kept on complaining. Layover: when we got to Istanbul, my stroller was waiting for me at the gate. Turkish Airline services were great. Istanbul is a big airport and the largest I have ever seen. Very beautiful and a lot of shopping area. Your layover time will pass so fast because you have a lot to do. Flight to Toronto: this time it was a bigger plane, the bassinet was way up high and my husband was comfortable. The inflight entertainment was great. The food was ok for people that enjoy inflight food. The flight was smooth. YYZ airport: we landed by 8pm, it was still very bright like 3pm. The airport was so busy with a lot of people, we saw that everyone was rushing towards the same direction, we followed the arrival sign and low and behold all those people rushing were all forming a line to pass immigration, at this point I was so tired because we have been on this trip for over 20hrs with an 8hrs layover(our flight was delayed at Istanbul) finally we joined the line and my baby started crying. Baby was also exhausted, it took like an hour to get to our turn, the lady asked us for the list for accompanying goods and goods to follow we handed over our typed document, she was so happy and told us that we just made her job easy attached it and sent us off to the immigration section to get our Copr signed. We met a little line there and it was signed and we went over to pick our luggage. When we got there it was the only bag left there. We just picked it and went to customs to check our bags, at this point we were so tired and it was 11.30pm, we met yet another line and the custom people were opening their bags and searching. I wanted to start crying at this point because we had four big bags and I was like when are we going to get home if this people open these bags, my baby at this point was so irritated she hasn’t had a bath apart from the sponge down bath I gave her at Istanbul. She was just crying over and over, when it got to our turn the lady just looked at us and said are you with milk, or any goods not allowed in Canada, we chorused No. she said welcome to Canada. I gave her a tired fake smile and we walked out to go look for my husband’s friend that came to pick us up. By now it was 12.15am. We tried calling him through WhatsApp and he couldn’t hear us. I almost started crying, my husband kept trying coz he already spoke to him when we landed and we knew he was around. After about 15mins someone tapped my husband from behind and it was him we hugged and packed our luggage into his car and he drove us to our Airbnb. Luckily for us we got the one we could check ourselves in. It was a lovely place with the entire backyard to us. Very private and quite. I couldn’t wait to hit the bed and we slept till 11am the next morning. Next day after landing: My husbands cousin picked us and took us to get our Sin and we also opened our bank account same day. It was a straight forward process. So far so good Canada is a beautiful place. I have done my G1 driving license, will be going for G soon. It is good to have someone on ground to help you out. Please for our landed seniors in the house I want to go back to school and do nursing. Any Rn in the house to guide me or any Lpn. I need suggestions for schools in Brampton, Bramalea or Mississauga. Thanks 71 Likes 9 Shares |

BS !!!!!!! Team Feb but ported to the last day of Jan (31/1/19) I bless the Lord for blessing my family with a beautiful baby girl. We got married 2016 Nov. I don’t stay in the same state with my hubby and it took me time to take in. The Doc kept telling me that since my husband isn’t here with me it can take us up to 2 years to conceive, I told him that my husband comes home every weekend and hasn’t missed one weekend before. Anyway God helped us and he was transferred back to where I stay, within 6months I took in against the one year we stayed without any sign of pregnancy. I started reading about ovulation and how to time it and we stopped timing sex because it started killing our sex life. My sisters out there who are trying to conceive and your husband isn’t around please don’t be overly worried and make plan to be with him at least 6months to 1year together before jumping into conclusions. Fast forward to June 7 2018, I missed my period for a day and went straight to the hospital for a blood test coz I was tried of hoping and after a few days the period will show. So I went in for a blood test. I can remember how shocked I was when I picked up the result. What I have been praying for was right in front of me but I couldn’t express any emotion, it felt unreal I got to my car and was just praising God. My drive home was as if I was carrying eggs in my car lol, me that use to speed was just allowing ppl to pass. I was just smiling as cars drove by lol. That motherly love hit me instantly, I was carrying another life and I needed to adjust a lot of things from my driving style to what I eat etc it comes naturally I guess. My pregnancy was a smooth one. I didn’t have morning sickness or anything. I was strong and was doing all I use to do. At 3months I started my exercise routine which was dancing for 15-20mins everyday before I take my bath. Doing light squatting and lifting my legs to the side and rolling my waist all in the bid to be flexible and it helped, I did that until the day I gave birth. Labor/ birth : on the 30th of Jan I saw a brown discharge just like what you will see after your period. I called my mum and she was like that’s your show, hope your bags are ready and other sign please head to the hospital, I called my Doc he told me to time my contractions which I did and I went about my day. I just decided to make my hair at home immediately though my Edd was Feb 13th I just felt this can come any time since I was already 38weeks. At night around 11.30pm the contractions were very intense and were coming frequently and we headed to the hospital. On getting there the Doc on duty had to check how many cm I have dilated omg that was painful I wouldn’t lie. I kept telling them where are the Epidural team. Anyway they took me to the labor room and before I knew it the contractions were getting stronger and painful. The Epidural was inserted and relief came. Mothers out there please use Epidural to relief pain it works. I labored from 11.30pm till 7.25am and my beautiful princess came forth. Once I saw her I was overjoyed. The joy of motherhood. What I enjoy the most is looking at her facial expression when she is breastfeeding. I Thank God for his faithfulness. 58 Likes |

Good morning team February. To God be the glory, my Edd was 13th Feb but I gave birth yesterday 31st Jan. I was 38weeks 2days. I am a FTM and I am advising all pregnant women out there that it is not easy and if you can afford Epidural please use it coz it really helped with my pain. I don’t know how it would have been without Epidural. Be at last I give God the praise because Child birth is a miracle. My fellow team feb and all other pregnant mothers I wish you all a safe delivery. And again don’t be afraid. I was afraid to be given a tear during child birth but I didn’t feel a thing and now in my recovery stage it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just keep your mind open and believe that you can do it. God is a miracle worker. 54 Likes |

gegyna: Teamie sorry about your health, you can try eating watermelon or garden egg. Try and drink lots of water too, like my Doc use to say drink water always not because you are tasty but because you have a baby that needs it. You can’t have too much water. As for Cappo please someone should volunteer. 1 Like |

Bunny19: Oh God!! I am crying my twinny, I haven’t come online for two days now. This is the saddest thing I have heard today. Why! Why! Who am I to question God? This is heart breaking but everything works together according to the plan of God. The almighty that brought this baby will surely give you another soonest. He answered me when I stopped trying on my own and handed everything to him and he will surely answer you sister. You will be in my prayer. We will rejoice again very very soon because God is not asleep. Be strong twinny and don’t ever be afraid. 1 Like |

Bunny19: Good morning twinny, I am happy to have you so we can compare symptoms lol. Yes that heaviness will gradually turn to a dull cramp, not for everyone oooo. The cramp for me was just uncomfortable but as I woke up this morning is not there. I called my mum and she said it will come and go as the baby increases in size. But is not something to worry about. You might be lucky and not have it. I started ANC on the 4th of August. Smooth journey to us all IJN. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bunny19: @gegyna I freeze my watermelon and eat them, just cut them into cubes and freeze them solid and sometimes I freeze orange too and eat them together. I really enjoy to eat my frozen fruits and I don’t have a problem with using the restroom. For the orange I remove the back just like kids do when taking their orange and separate them one one. Lol. My husband laughs at me when he sees my fruit bucket in the freezer. @ Bunny19 I think we have same date if I am correct my LMP was May 9th and is like we have similar symptoms. Now I am 14 weeks 4 days and I have been having the round ligament pain. Do you have them too? |

sweetveee: My dear mama, don’t be worried I took duphaston and folic acid too till I got to 12weeks, I was like you worrying that I need a prenatal but the Dr told me that what I needed the most was folic acid till 12 weeks which I did. After 12weeks I started pregnacare. So relax if you are not up to 12weeks and ask your Dr what prenatal you should take. But if you are going to take pregnacare you must stop taking folic acid since pregnacare contains folic acid. 1 Like |
