I impregnated my ex girlfriend when I was young and relocated because at time I was young and stupid, I gave her money for abortion but she disagreed on removing it , so I had no choice but to flee as I was irresponsible and poor
My ex girlfriend put to bed months after I left and raised the child living with her parents
I relocated back last year December , I'm trying to get back with my daughter but my ex won't let me be near me even I want to take responsibility and care for my daughter
She's getting me frustrated, I'm thinking of suing her for not letting me be a presence in my daughter's life

After 7 yrs?
You’re a very funny Man.

My suggestion to your question is to go look for a wife and marry so you can make your own children and take care of them as a father should.

Our schools should take reading comprehension very seriously ‘ cause what’s all these comments i’m reading.

A man wrote plainly that his marriage broke down due to his mother’s influence on his life and marriage and some boys managed to make it the woman’s fault?

There’s no dilemma here. If you’re too scared to commit to a woman in a relationship, you can remain single. It’s not a crime to remain so. Stop putting unnecessary pressure on yourself.

Also, homosexuality is becoming widely accepted these days, you can try committing to a man and who knows, you may get lucky. Please avoid women for your peace’s sake.

Family / Re: I Need Advice, Please by DBestDoc(f): 8:52am On Nov 10, 2023
PesinPikin84:
Apologies for the long post. I need advice, please.

I am asking for advice on a family situation I am having now. I am a resident physician in the U.S. and currently in training. My husband is also a physician and is applying for training in the country I am at. He is unlikely to get a position in the same state I am in because my hospital's program is very competitive. He has worked very hard to come to be in the U.S. but his journey has not been smooth. Not too long ago, I made an agreement with him that if the U.S. does not work for him, I will finish my residency training then follow him to whatever country he decides to relocate to. I have always wanted to subspecialize, and I mentioned that I will do the subspecialty training in whatever country he is. By God's grace he will get a residency training position soon, but it will not be in the same state where my training is now.

We were having a conversation today and I mentioned that I will do everything in my power to get subspecialty training in the state he gets placement, but if I don't then I will do my one year subspecialty training anywhere I get in the U.S., then come back to wherever he is to work. He is now saying that I am going against our agreement of following him wherever he goes and bringing in the technicality that my subspecialty training is just one year. Throughout our relationship even before marriage, I have always felt like I had to prove that my family will be above my career. He brought up a fight we had when we were engaged and he was having challenges coming into the U.S. I mentioned that I really want to train in the U.S., and that I will not marry him if I don't fulfill this dream. I took his continuing with the marriage as him understanding my position about the direction I wanted my life to go, but it was after the marriage that I learned that he took it to mean that I love my career more than him or raising a family. As God will have it, he is now finally in the U.S. with me and pursuing his own dream to train here too, even thought things have not been easy.

I love my job and I want to be good at it. I don't believe that choosing to finish my training is putting my career above my family. I even told him that if I was thinking about career, then I will be thinking of the reputation of where I will do my subspecialty training over first working towards wherever he is. He said that my insisting on subspecialty training against our earlier agreement shows why he does not trust me that my family is first. The funny thing is that it is unlikely for me not to get a subspecialty position wherever he ends up in his training. My subspecialty is not something a lot of people pursue, so there are always more positions than applicants, but that is the field I love. I feel like I always have to prove myself that I am trustworthy whenever any issue comes up about my job. He is insisting that if family was truly first, then I would never even consider applying to anywhere that will not be close to him. I sincerely want people's opinions because I feel that he does not trust my loyalty to building a family. We don't yet have children but I fear that this talk about my career vs family will always be an issue when we do. We have been married for a year and half now. I see it as just one year of training for something I really want to do, and that it is not against the initial agreement of following him to whatever country or place he is. He says I am adding something we did not talk about and changing the agreement. Am I overthinking things and am I being selfish? Please, what are people's thoughts on this matter?

Girl, you really need to slow/ calm down and take things one step at a time. I don’t think this is the appropriate time to bring up discussions that’ll cause frictions between you two. Forget about subspecialty discussions with him for now, think of it and make plans in your head, but don’t bring it up.

He’s right when he said you’re trying to go against the original agreement you both had because you just added another clause to the agreed blueprint you’re running with. The future is still pregnant and you don’t know what will happen in one year. So let it go, tell him you can’t wait for you both to come together as a family. Not stuffs that will suggest you’re happy staying apart.

My husband is a surgical Trainee in a state about 7hrs away from where I’m training in OBGYn. He comes home on weekends/when we’re both free and we try to make every sec together count. We don’t even want to consider or deliberate on any thing that’ll keep us further apart after this first training.

Most of the time, we tend to be overly focused on career goals. So, You’ll need to watch it and consciously make sacrifices ( lots of it) to make the marriage work. People are doing it, so can you.

All the best Girl!

You are funny, a 35 year old woman, who spent the last 5 years from mountain to mountain looking for husband, finds a 45 year old man who is willing to marry her, you think that kind of lady will care wether the man has zero sperm ?

Even if the Aunty is 40 that doesn’t mean that she’d have to accept every option that comes her way.

As a matter of fact, a 43 yrs old Lady that’s close to being menopausal still has far far better chance conceiving naturally than a 33 yr old man with Azoospermia or two poor sperm parameters. Let’s not kid ourselves. Female infertility can be tackled through varieties of options and pregnancy will be achieved but male infertility, na more of try ya luck and on God.

Hormones profile test shows that he has low testosterone, high LH and FSH.

Please has anyone dealt with this and what steps did you take?

Your best chance for conception is via Artificial reproductive technology . One option is IVF with donor sperm. Adoption is another option.

Secondly, your husband should consider taking out the undescended testes because it’s capable of malignant transformation since it’s existed outside of the scrotum for this long. Usually best to return it to the normal position as early as possible.

Your wife told you she was upset, did you try to ask her why?

Was there any heart to heart convo to know the reason she’s been in such an unusual mood? Some issues can be solved with proper communication and hearty resolutions but if you think the first option to explore is contemplating divorce, then go ahead Mr.

I for one would also not have sex when I’m upset with my husband like an object meant for just sexual gratification.

I wish you both well.

Medical personnels in the house can as well enlighten us in that aspect.

Money that is not up to what ATMS on Admiralty Way or Allen dispense in 2 hours.

Reminds me of a story of some Policemen sent to protect defaced Naira notes meant to be destroyed. They got there and one of them fainted when he saw Naira notes being destroyed.

Which one is poverty mentality? They were asked to load their ATM machines so everyone gets some change in their pocket but they decided to keep the money ‘safe’ in their vaults and the action is justified to you.

Does this look like the days thieves are allowed to withdraw millions at a go?

Do you know how many people will be served if that cash is loaded in ATM machines, assuming each person is allowed a maximum of 20k per withdrawal?

Some people have never owned even 10k of that redesigned note and you’re asking what’s 250m?

My pregnant neighbour has been so restless and sick having discovered she's carry twin

This neighbour of mine is pregnant with 6 other kids. She has been finding it difficult to feed her family including her 6 children. Her husband is an electrician and plumber but he hasn't been getting job inorder to take care of his family. The children had been out of school for several years

as been thinking so much and she doesn't eat well. This has affected her health conditions.

Please what's your advice for this woman and her family

My advice is for them to enroll the other 6 children in a public school. There’s no reason why those children should be out of school considering the fact that Public schools are FREE.

About her pregnancy, she’ll be fine. She’s already used to and enjoys being broke and hungry. No problems at all.

I was just going through my Facebook around 4am and noticed that someone tagged my so called girlfriend and her husband and congratulated them on their wedding which happened on 7th January.
She wasn't the one that posted, she was tagged to the post.
This is the highest shock of my life this year.
As in, is this happening? or am I dreaming?
How could she be in a serious relationship and still kept on acting along and toying with my emotion?
She was recommended to me last month around 15th December, what is the big deal in telling me that she is not single so that I move on with my life as fast as possible?
She was chatting romantically with me all these while and giving me all the green light and even sending hug and kiss emojis and my head was swelling.
Thank you all for your wonderful responses

I’m sorry things happened the way they did but she did nothing bad really.

@Bolded, she was very much single.

She must have learnt through experience that it is very very foolish for an unmarried woman to chase other prospective love interests away because there’s some guy somewhere who ‘ promised’ her marriage. Highy foolish.

If her eggs were all in your basket alone, you’d have dumped her as.s after the discouraging comments you got here the first day you created this thread and she’d have to start all over. But look at it this way, if things didn’t work out between her other man and herself, you’re there already as another solid plan A ‘cause you guys must have started bonding already.

So, there’s nothing wrong in being polite with you and many others, provided she isn’t sleeping with you guys. After all, she’s not God that knows the end of a thing from the beginning.

Your own woman would come, no worries.

In my case, it was 5 guys at once after I received sense. cheesy cheesy

Is Inflation not real to you? Nigeria's currency is not like other country's currencies. Inflation is the cause. A kilo of chicken is over 3000 naira. That is over 15% of that 20k you call big money. Guy e be like say you be foreigner. Out of touch with reality just like those CBN mofos

When you buy the 3k kilo of chicken or whatever, just pay by transfer. Jeez! How hard can this be? Most of these medium sized shops accept online payments. Others will fall in line with this policy.

Nobody put a limit to how much you can ever spend except that you should not handle the Naira unnecessarily. Just keep your daily 20k for petty spending like 500 Naira groundnut, intracity transportation and orange purchase. This is as simple as ABC na. Nawao

Apt.
In those villages and small towns you hardly have anyone with 20k cash. They dont have ATMs anyway, so how does small ATM cash withdrawal affect them? For those who are educated and capable, use e-channels and for their relatives, use the cash limit to take care of loved ones in the village. Cash is going out in some countries.

Thank you

A whole 20k per day and people are whining.

What exactly does anyone need more than 20k per day cash for? Is it so than they can go spray money at night clubs and abuse the naira the more? Abe na to give an officer bribe? Wetin we need cash of more than 400k per month for?

Petty things can be paid with cash and if payment exceeds 2k, the seller must provide another means for cashless transaction. How hard is this?
Politics / Re: House Of Reps Orders CBN To Suspend New Cash Withdrawal Limit by DBestDoc(f): 7:37pm On Dec 08, 2022
olaeffect:
You cannot pay local daily transport fare with transfer.
Transport unions do cash collections daily in excess of N....m in Lagos alone.
So for some people presumed to be the target of this policy to raise cash is actually very possible.

And CBN never said you could not withdraw above the threshold, they only said you will be charged or you will be required to fill some forms.

Paying local transport fare of 1k and 500 and paying the groundnut seller on the road 200 naira is exactly why we have a daily cash allowance of 20k

In fact, in some countries, you pay the taxi driver, fruit, vegetable and food vendor by transfer. You just scan their codes and transfer.

Jeez, so many supposedly educated people thinking in a very disappointing way.
What exactly do we need cash for? Why carry huge amount of cash about like a thief?

I’ve been to countries where one can survive seamlessly for months without handling cash. Both old and young embrace good policies and their country works for all. But in Nigeria, people keep bringing foolish arguments.

What happens to the POS people. Abeg, where in the world is Pos a bank for withdrawing cash? Only in Nigeria. The POS business niche sprang up because of our huge appetite for carrying cash about which is exactly what the government is trying to correct. They can as well close shop and go think of some other businesses to run.

A two year old naira note when handled would look like rag, it’s embarrassing. But you’ll see dollars and some other foreign currencies of 10 years looking clean.

Every transaction more than 2k should be by transfer and other petty transactions can be settled from the daily 20k. This is more than enough.

What people should be worried about is how to stay safe online, how to help those non-internet compliant and how to make sure banks up their online services. Kapish!

When these women relocate abroad and finally thrash the men, people will open their mouths to vomit crap about how women are bad.

No right thinking woman would leave an averagely behaved man let alone a supposedly good man. I LOL when i read posts here about how a happy couple in Nigeria divorced after traveling abroad. Apparently, the woman got there and decided she no longer wants to love, be loved, and raise her kids decently in an intact family unit. An average Nigerian woman of all people that does everything within her power to keep her home. Some how sha, she turned psychotic from breathing the very special air abroad.

Some of these men should keep deceiving themselves . The lamentations about Nigerian women and women in general has just begun, na gay all of una go turn las las. A lot are getting it right but some others still no want sit down and receive sense.

How do you treat your wife so shabbily with so much disrespect and you think she’s not counting it for you? If there’s something your wife does that’s chasing you from home, open your mouth and say it plainly and if she doesn’t change, you both honorably end the sham of a marriage. No need to keep deceiving yourself or stress another human like you. It really ain’t worth it.
