My Opinion- tell her your proposal timeline had expired long ago, she just ended things with her main boyfriend hence, the need to find time first to heal and start all over, you aren’t the rebound guy.

Very important observation.

When I was in secondary school some group of people came to our house to complain that I came to their bar and drank without paying and gave them our house address just in case I did not return with their money and fortunately for me it was my mum they met who stood her ground and told them she cannot give birth to a child that is reckless and she swore her life that it cannot be her child, the whole compound was shouting at her that you cannot swear for a grown up child.

She sent for me and when I came the people could not identify me as the person they were accusing. It was very dramatic and funny. Yes, my mum said the name they called was the name of her son but that her child cannot indulge in such reckless life as at that age. She was proud of me because of the moral imbibed in us her children. Real life story.

Eventually, we found out it was our neighbors son and his friends who went to the bar and gave my name and address just in case it goes sour and that ends my friendship with that guy till date, more than twenty years ago.

Parents of nowadays are the number one reason why their children are not well brought up.

It’s so so unfortunate that the whole society has been messed up starting from the family unit. People don’t even trust themselves, let alone trust another human. Because we have people of loose morals raising other people and churning low quality adults into the society.

Uhmm, I’m yet to understand the rationale behind keeping and nurturing a pregnancy for 9 months and thereafter, endangering the lives of both Baby and Mother at a Traditional Birth Center. Lots of the TBAs will package you to the Hospital or your home after causing serious damages. I’ve seen so many of such scenarios play out, some are extremely heart breaking. In extreme cases, the women lose their lives from serious bleeding.

My guess is the pregnancy was not properly monitored, labour became prolonged and they finally managed to birth a seriously stressed and asphyxiated baby. Child ended up with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy secondary to Birth Asphyxia. Local Midwife carry Asphyxiated baby give una to take home.

Any Trained Birth Attendant knows that not crying at birth and hours after birth means brain injury should be ruled out fast ‘cause child may needs resuscitation and care asap.

Next time, they should try and give birth at a proper hospital and hope things turn out well. No cutting of corners when lives are involved.

While trying to crack my brain to figure out where the very haggard looking man that claimed he was stranded was looking for, his accomplice walks up to me from behind asking that WE help the stranded man, that he had money and plenty expensive gadgets. I didn’t even know what help I was supposed to render to the man.

I believe those guys use some hypnotic powers on their victims. The longer you listen to them, the more they work on your mind convincing you to do something you’d ordinarily not do.

In my case, I accepted to help a man I didn’t know exactly how and what to help with. They managed to convince me to follow them to a Reverend father’s place ( whatever that is) but then, i made a U turn in the direction of my house. The moment I left their presence, it was as if my mind became clearer and alert and it dawned on me those were scammers.

With SIM, they can have access to BVN, get account numbers, receive OTPs authorizing password or login changes and all what not.
