The militants must be killed without mercy, for they do not negotiate like educated men and they are threatening not only the future of the delta but Nigeria as a whole angry angry angry angry
Politics › Re: What Would You Do To Improve Nigeria If You Were The President by dblock(m): 8:42am On Oct 07, 2006
Nigeria would function better if Igboland was classified as a state, and Hausaland a state and yoruba land a state then the yoruba people elect their own president and the igbos do the same and so do the hausas then the president of America selects the best leader in Nigeria excluding the three presidents and elects that person to be the Grand president, the presidents look after their repective lands and discuus strategies in parliament on how to improve Nigeria, Nigeria will still be a unified county and wil still have one soccer team and so on and there will be little or no conflict  cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Politics › Re: Nigeria Ranked 2nd Poorest Nation in the World by dblock(m): 8:33am On Oct 07, 2006
Nigeria was ranked the poorest based on the HDI index not the GDP per capita, if by the DDP per capita then we are in the last 20, Nigeria is the 56th richest country in the world in terms of cash (GDP) but too much population means each person gets $1100 per capita if shared equally, The number of people in Nigeria that live below the poverty line has dropped from 60% to 54.6 so therefor our stunt growth in the GDP per capita is a little bit funny blah blah blah blah bloohoolahhhh lalalalalalal grin
Education › Re: Pluto No More A Planet by dblock(m): 8:25am On Oct 07, 2006
Served it right shouldn't have been a planet in the first place, Astronomy is crazy is a planet a big entity that orbits around some sotta star, cos if i was the president of NASA, I would say; "A planet is a solid entity in space that orbits around a star that has a diameter that is bigger than 12900KM and the entity must have a diameter that is bigger or equal to 12900km and it doesn't qualify to be a planet if it is a gas entity or doesn't have a solid crust" Take that Saturn and Jupiter, and i would declare planets that cannot support life now or in the future lesser planet making Earth and Mars the only planets that are not lesser planets, I am a firm believer that Mars can support life in the future. grin

TV/Movies › Re: Nigeria has a Satellite in Orbit! (NigeriaSat-1) by dblock(m): 2:51am On Oct 07, 2006
The satellite is very important for the needs of Nigeria's space aspirations so it's a very useful toy, but it's very suprising that a toy can have lenses that can see image scenes as large as 640 x 560 km, This satellite can be used to monitor pollution. The Nigeria Sat-1 is similar to the Alsat toy of Algeria and is just as effective. I am not a supporter of Sat-1 but i'm not a critic, Nigeria wishes to collect surveys of things like deforestaion, Acid Rain, Pollution and Aquatic surveying and this satellite is doing just that, Nigeria is the biggest producer of hardwood in Africa, but trees are been cut down at an alarming rate, the lenses of this magnificent toy can easily spot new changes in vegetationa nd spot the rate of dessertification in that respect this satelite is very important, it will launch the initiatives of new methods of enriching soils and creating green belts in areas needed to help the people of Nigeria, this satellite is't for the sake of showing off to the other kids that we got a new toy but to help our people this satellite is a multi purpose satellite like it's toy buddy the Sat-2, for a nation to go beyond one must look beyond cool

No one can rely on a Nigerian Embassy, the nearest is the one in Australia and menn the people there hate Nigerians, the worst Nigerian embassy in terms of satisfaction is the Australian one.

otokx:
i find it funny when people staying outside nigeria pass comments. which new roads the OBJ make? infact he is going to leave Nigeria with less roads.
I'm in Nigeria at heart my friend, i wasn't born abroad i've seen Nigeria I've seen leaders change in that country i've seen the way things are done and my conclusion is that OBJ does has done the best job
TV/Movies › Re: Nigeria has a Satellite in Orbit! (NigeriaSat-1) by dblock(m): 10:05am On Oct 06, 2006
Chad were in charge but we were a part of it, Chad should be in charge has they have the largest portion of the lake so therefore it is more of their reponsibilty they aren't a broke country they're just infested with corrupt leaders, It's not the Sat-1 that brought naija to where it is when it comes to telecommunictions but it improved it's place significantly and that's why Nigeria is the fastest growing market in Africa and second fastest in the world behind Brazil cool
Politics › Re: Obasanjo The Greatest President Nigeria Has Ever Had by dblock(op): 10:00am On Oct 06, 2006
That's true but he has no real competitors for the spot of Best president, Obasanjo isn't my ideal president but he's the best this nation has seen in decades

samorijack:
I THINK OBASANJO LOOKS GOOD BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN CURSED WITH REALLY BAD LEADERS AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT. HIS PREDECESSORS HAVE ALL BEEN MONUMENTAL FAILURES,AND THE FAILURES ARE STILL CONTNUING. IT'S REALLY DIFFICULT TO BE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT NIGERIA'S FUTURE.I APPRECIATE SOME OF THE THINGS HE'S DONE ,BUT YOU DON'T TELL A BLIND MAN IT'S RAINING ,HE'LL FEEL ITLIKEWISE IF THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER WE'LL ALL FELL IT,MOST NIGERIANS I KNOW DON'T FEEL THINGS ARE IMPROVING,BUT I AGREE HE IS ARGUABLY NIGERIA'S BEST PRESIDENT
