Some people seem to think that humans are Angels that if a level of cooperation is reached all will be eutopia and excellent, right now we have North Korea developing nukes, lets' say all of a sudden the dwarf decides to blow up Nigeria because he is jealous of OBJ's height, who wil we run to, the US and what if they don't respond becasue earlier OBJ called Bush a monkey, think about it Africa needs Nuclear technology and other things to develop this continent but we must havve defence somewhere on the list and that's where nukes come in. wink

I know that tinapa was commisioned by Duke, i wasn't born yesterday, but the project couldn't, was supported by the man himself, I seriously doubt that the current projects and promises that the current Govt have made will be shattered by 07, simply beacuse the likely candidates for the election, are no longer so likely

Politics › Re: Moving The Capital From Abuja by dblock(m): 8:25am On Oct 09, 2006
I usually prefer to talk about the area as just Abuja and not the FCT as a whole, but the infastructure of Abuja when all phases have been completed will be sustainable and there'll be absolutely no need for moving (what were you smoking imprecise), Abuja is Africa's second most beautiful city, the city is been consumed by the push and pull factor but the FG are coping, new housing schemes are been embarked upon as a permanent solution to the housing problem, The FG are planning for the F.C.T for the 3rd phase a rail system (it wasinitially meant for the second but the population is not yet overwhelming), other means of transportation like the BRT are also meant to be introduced, the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport will in the future experience a rapid expansion which will see the construction of ten ultra modern terminals, Abuja will be the pride of Africa and the New Gateway to Nigeria, but Lagos isn't sleeping big projects are also planned for Lagos, I assure you non believers, Abuja will remain the capital of this wonderful nation for a long time to com. cheesy

Politics › Re: Moving The Capital From Abuja by dblock(m): 7:05am On Oct 09, 2006
That is the most absurd idea i've heard in a long time and i watch a lot of TV, you can't simply keep cahnging capitals because of overcrowding, I assure you that Abuja will not becaome over crowded like Lagos, even Lagos is undergoing reconstruction, and Abuja is building up a world class infastructure, if El Rufaii can't make Abuja great then we might as well live with a crap capital forever angry angry angry

Politics › Re: Obasanjo The Greatest President Nigeria Has Ever Had by dblock(op): 6:48am On Oct 09, 2006
But you must look at what he has achieved to understand my reason for opening this topic, Like for instance Inflation which has been skyrocketing since 1992 has slowed down in the past two years, under the reign of Obasanjo's Administration, although that credit must be given to Africa's best CBN Governor, Soludu, he closed the gap between the official and parallel rates. You must also see where the Power sector is going rather than where it is, because although it is a fact that in some respects electricity is worse there is no where else for the sector to go than up wards, with the new NIPs that have been scheduled for completion by the end of 2007, power supply will be increased by no less than 4500 megawatts, and the current Battle of corruption in the Power Sector although slower than in other sectors is showing some positive light, The reign of Obasanjo's administration has seen new initiatives and innovatives been introduced for example the growth in the telecommunications sector, but because sadly and unfortunately a portion of citizens never see any things good in this nation so they always find wrong things like; call rates are too expensive, the services are poor, and yeah GSM is nice but what about nitel you get the point, also during his reign new tourism spots have sprung up and old ones revived, the first phase of Tinapa which by God's grace will be complete by this years end will see new tourists come into the nation, During the reign of OBJ the fight of corruption has been hotter than ever before, with the EFCC active in all sectors and breathing under everyone's necks, with the renewed transparency in the Nigerian economy new investors have flocked in building new assembly lines like, what nokia plans to do soon, KIA a automoblie giant has also unveiled plans to open shop many others are following, this will create more jobs without doubt (or pigs can fly) Obasanjo is a visionary and though a lot of people don't think he's the rigt man he's doing a damn good job-------------peace-------------- cool

For Lesotho any change is for the better, whatever they choose to do differently wether it be in soccer or for the developing of that nation, it will be for the better, concerning the pre game atmosphere some Nigerian FA officials whilst they were in the Maseru Airport were told by some locals not to do to much damage to Lesotho grin

Everyone knew the match would be difficult, the highly rated Eagles aren't used to playing in bumpy stadiums, the weather was different from the weather in Nigeria, and only players in Europe could relate to it. If the match was held in Abuja it would have been a 4-0 plus victory

Once Mighty always Mighty, Go the mighty!!! Super Eagles!!!

Mol, Bar beach needs Netherlands type levies, mann those dutch gays are smart

Mariory:
@Loverboy
I'm not sure that that kind of structure will work. The thames barrier is built on a river which isin't that wide.

I think what lagos needs are well built concrete levies or flood walls.
