Tinubu has already secured the requisite number of delegates that would enable him beat any and all aspirants during the APC Presidential Primaries.

At this point, even if President Buhari contests the forthcoming Primaries, he would lose scandalously to Tinubu.

What if the plan backfires and oke and apc loses the election? Dont forget that such an election loss will be seen as tinubu handiwork by not supporting the apc candidate.

That is also a risk which is also in Tinubu's favour. If APC and AD lose the election, Tinubu will still be in control of the APC political structure in the state. However, if Akeredolu were to win the election, Akeredolu and the 'Abuja Mafia' will be in control of the state machinery. This will be a big loss for Tinubu.

In addition, even if APC loses the election, they will be reluctant to sanction Tinubu because they will realise that they need him more than ever and will lose the South West without him.

Thus;

1. AD victory = Win Win for Tinubu ( Governor + Party Structure)

2. PDP victory = Win for Tinubu (Party Structure)

3. APC Victory = Total Loss for Tinubu

Tinubu I believe is far smarter and knows what is happening. Tinubu will rather work against apc and make them lose so that it will appear that without him there is nothing apc south west can do. He cant go to akeredolu because that will be a sign of surrender and humiliation so the best thing to do is to make sure akeredolu loses,but the danger here is if this happens it will give the northern apc factions and most especially the atiku and buhari faction(cpc) the advantage of nailing tinubu finally because they will let buhari realise that tinubu isn't a man to be trusted to stick to party loyalty if his interest is not there ,we all know how buhari values party loyalty this mainly because of his background in the military that makes him believe you must stick with your people no matter the situation. If news that tinubu has directed his boys to move to AD and work for AD is true then It shows that tinubu is ready and not afraid to dump apc anytime

Tinubu's game plan most likely is to support Olusola Oke in AD. Once Oke wins the Gubernatorial election, he will decamp to APC.

Should that plan work, It will be a win win scenario for Tinubu because APC will be in control of Ondo state, he will have a measure of control over the Governor and he will be in control of the political structure in Ondo State.
