Application submitted since 8th September. I have had 2 interviews. 4 paid calls. 5 escalation mails. Today is the 3rd month ( 81working days) my application has been with them. I keep getting response mail as If I just submitted my application. Saying application has been received. At this point I have sent a mail for them to return my passport . I'm not interested in the study visa. I have valid visas in that passport and I am being restricted from other travels as my passport hasn't been returned. Pls is there a phone number or mail I can actually send my issue to and get a proper response? It is clear that all those mails av been receiving are just copy and paste mails with no information on what or where my passport is.

How long does it take to make a decision on an application. NB. I was last in uk in 2015 on a biz visa.

Anyone else having this issue?

The requirement is that the balance of school fees and evidence of maintenance that the main applicant had shown during his/her application should be available if requested

This can be requested from date of the MAs application till date

The MA should be ready to show evidence of what has been spent/paid for and the balance left in the account he/she applied with

Thanks for your contribution. The issue is; because of the 20hrs visa restriction, he has not really been able to work. He believes bringing in dependant will ease the burden.Also, I have tried talking him out of it, but he's not getting convinced.
Through the help of my bf family members I already got marriage certificate and the required amount for POF. I applied for IOM and my appointment is tomorrow.
Everything just looks off to me, and I want to avoid us wasting more money, if it's not going to yield positive result.
That's why I'm asking if there's safer route instead of going with the narrative that we are married, without substantial evidence.

You haven’t given any dates as to when you did your biometrics to indicate when you can make a paid call/mail

Since you already got an NSF to pay the IHS difference if you haven’t gotten any update by Friday, you can chase by Monday

Remember dependants can arrive anytime, the focus is for the MA to resume studies

So I applied for priority visa alongside the MA, His visa was ready on thursday and he picked it on friday but mine is still at DMC. Once you have them ,arrange them on a word or PDF document

Please do not rely on this as your only evidence, include other official document I.e Joint bank statement, joint bills paid, joint investments etc

If you are freelancing provide evidence to support this I.e freelance contract documents and evidence of payment upon completion of whatever job/task it is

Provide your just concluded NYSC document and allowances paid

Hi everyone, I got a conditional offer, and I'm currently doing a Pre-CAS with the uni in other to get my CAS.

One of the requirements is to prove my finances.
Thing is I finished Nysc in June, 2023. And currently, I mostly freelance, so I don't have any valid employment letter/reference right now. My POF is mainly coming from contributions from family.

So, I choosed self employed.
But they still asked me to upload an employment reference which should be on company letterhead
Includes details of the self-employment including nature of the work and salary.

What should I do in this case?

If you lost your birth certificate, a police report and age declaration should be sufficient

If the birth certificate has the correct date of birth for you and your siblings then that should be fine

During the old days we lost of our birth certificatez at d time of moving of house. We tried to get national population census certificate of birth in 2015 for me and my siblings when im processing my admission

Can i use it for the visa application for my mum visit as birth certificate considering the fact that is the same year we got all together?

It look neat and laminated.

That is the only document i can use as a proof of relationship.

If a decision has been made and you still haven’t gotten a refusal till now then it’s a positive outcome

It still has to go through the queue for the remaining stages i.e getting your visa vignette ready, preparing and emailing your decision letter, etc

My wife is the MA, our daughter’s application was just applied for last month October 10th. I called on Monday, and I was told decision has been made but there’s no collection email.

Before Monday, I had to escalate once before Monday when I was told a decision has been made. No refusal email yet, and there’s no refund.

I called yesterday trying to escalate it again but I was told to wait till the first escalation reaches 15 days.

Is anyone else going through the same thing?

It’s more like a scholarship and sponsorship letter. Please what do you mean certified it as the true copy as it’s in form of a an Email that I printed out(in black and white) Paid for assisted service just made copy of the doc, the document is signed and has a QR code for verification

When you submit your application ,you will be rerouted to TLS website

If not, log back using the sign in page, go to provide biometrics and select your appointment

The type of appointment will let you know if you will upload your documents yourself or TLS will upload it during your biometrics


If it is self service-you will be able to do so on the same page

If it is assisted service- you have to go with your documents to TLS, they will scan and upload it for you

I don’t know what the extra documents are so can’t advice

If you have a study gap of more than 5years then you need to include evidence of your activities (ie employment or reference letters)

If there isn’t a need for additional evidence then stick to the documents in your CAS

I’m not sure there’s anything you can do

There isn’t a way to get a declined receipt from the merchant. If your bank said it’s on hold best believe it will reverse itself

You have to be patient and wait for that reversal
