Hello

Then that letter is on its way

The timeframe between now and when you resist the pending the exam is more than 28days unfortunately

The 60days will give you time to make a decision,
You can request for the 60days to be extended but you will need very solid reasons I.e health concerns or maybe pregnancy if it was a lady

I am uncertain as to why your Uni has decided to withdraw their sponsorship since you still have more courses next year

Best be prepared to leave and return next year, ensure you have all the evidence from your Uni stating you will be given CAS next year to continue studying

Cheers

Hello

The said document should be a court order not just any document

2. She should reapply as normal with previous evidence she had and a cover letter to address their refusal and how the circumstance has changed (ie the correct court order)

Hello

UKVI is the only body that has the powers to curtail any visa

Did he get a minded to curtail letter from UKVI?

How did he know his visa had been curtailed and he has 60days left?

Share any correspondence you have regarding this, redact your personal information and we can advise further

Cheers
Sonniajude:
Good morning everyone
Please I need an enquiry about visa curtailment for an undergraduate student whose visa was curtailed because he has no academic activities for the next 60days due to a resit that is meant to be written next year and the university has asked him to leave the uk and reapply for a new visa from Nigeria . Please has anyone been in this situation before and what was the outcome as he is very scared about the situation. This person still have to more years to go for the current course and the current visa was meant to expire 2025 . The person did not also get any letter from UkVI and immigration status still shows details of the current visa. Please I will appreciate it if anyone who has any information about this response to my trend . Thanks in advance

For short courses you will apply for visit visa not study visa and won’t pay for IHS in that instance

Feel free to do you own research

Good morning everyone, quick question: I already had an Upwork account from Nigeria (NB: this account wasn’t active, I just created it and abandoned it) ,

if I were to change the account location and start using it to get freelance work now in the UK, would the hours count towards my 20-limit as a student? Would it be considered self-employment which is a breach of the student visa conditions?

Hello
Wife surname I assume you mean maiden name

She should stick to whatever name she has on her international passport (even if it is her maiden name) for her application.

2.There are no implications on your end as her husband since you have your marriage certificate and other evidence to show that your marriage is substantial (real)

Cheers

Good afternoon Duches! Please I need a clarification on something, my wife's surname was used when she renewed her passport in 2021 a month after we married. Her surname is used on 2 visas she has uptill now. She has made a publication of change of names already since 2021. We plan to move to UK nextyear. And yes she would start using my surname right from the application.Could there be any controversies on the outcome of our applications especially on me as dependant?

Hello

Interesting thread and figures of people who do not have funds to study getting UK Visas thanks for sharing

Before policy changes are made, a lot of information gathering is done.

The way people were screaming that it was unfair to ban masters students from bringing dependants, I hope they won’t be upset when conditions like blocked accounts are made before a study visa is approved

It’s only a matter of time

Hello

You should ask for a copy of the email and read it yourself

Anyway I assume you are a dependant of someone who applied for skilled workers visa in health and/or social care sector.

The police clearance should be from any country (except the UK) where you have lived for 12 months or more (whether continuously or in total) in the last 10 years, while aged 18 or over.’

If all you had was only a visit visa then respond with a cover letter and copies of your Dubai visa and stamps in and out explaining that you haven’t lived in Dubai continuously for 12months in 10years.Resubmit your Nigerian PCC emphasising that the Nigerian PCC applies in your case.

Your immigration agent should be able to tell you this

Cheers

Jeff0983:

I applied using immigration agent and their email was used in the application, he chatted me today requesting for the Dubai police saying it the only document requested from the NSF message by UKVI.

Hello NLs
Please has anyone stayed in Dubai with visit visa (tourist visa) who applied for UK dependent visa, were you able to get the Dubai police clearance certificate? Please if yes how were you able to get it from outside Dubai because I’m no longer in Dubai now, I received a message from UKVI to provide that but I don’t know if Dubai (UAE ) issue that to visitors.
Mind you I’m the dependent not the main applicant, main applicant has a Dubai resident and we provided for own police clearance.

Hello

Put photos on word document and make a collage , include a sentence or 2 to describe who , where and what if you can

2. This will depend on how many years she is sponsored to work . Typically 3 or 5years (some may be more)

You should have 1. Visa fee 2.IHS fees and 3.Maintenance funds

Here’s the link to read and work through them

Hello

Did you do an FOI for this

Interesting, I can imagine who received this request

Even with BC Certificate it will take an intel to chase penalties on not returning the last BRP

With limited resources, teams are behind in chasing that

Cheers

Just thought to drop this here

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/cy/request/588049/response/1408595/attach/5/FOI%20Response%2054681.pdf?cookie_passthrough=1

Summary

Dear Ms Boateng

Thank you for your enquiry of 23 July in which you requested a variety of information
regarding Biometric Residence Permits (BRPs). Your enquiries have been handled
as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Information Requested

FOI 54474
A 2016/17, 2017/18 and 2018/19 database on the number of people who were
issued with civil penalties (and the range of fines issued) for failure to return their
old/expired biometric residence permits (BRP)
FOI 54681

As requested, I would like to clarify on what information I am hoping to receive.
Currently entry clearance applications under the Points Based System (PBS) receive
a vignette in their passports and a biometric residence permit (BRP) when they
arrive in the UK.

If they would like to extend or switch into different immigration categories, they would
need to make a Leave to Remain application. If their applications are successful,
they would receive new BRPs (making their expired or old BRP invalid)
The Home Office decision letters (applicants currently receive) states that the
applicant will need to return their expired or old BRP by cutting it up in 4 squares or
face a penalty of up to £1000 if they fail to do this.

Therefore, I am requesting a 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 data showing the
following:
1) how many people returned their old or expired BRPs?
2) how many people were fined for failing to return their old or expired BRPs?
3) what was the range in fines people received?

Response

Regarding your above enquiries; to provide this information would invoke the FOI
cost limit exemption. Our electronic systems are unable to identify how many people
returned their old or expired BRPs records to UKVI.

In order to answer your enquiries, the Home Office would have to make a manual
trawl of all our records in order to collate your requested data. This would be neither
cost nor resource effective and therefore, under section 12(1) of the Act, the Home
Office is not obliged to comply with an information request where to do so would
exceed the designated cost limit. We believe that to provide the information you are
seeking would breach this cost limit and as such we are unable to supply it to you....

Hello

Same generic closing paragraphs to use when issuing replacement BRPs or BC certificate

When it comes to enforcing the penalties, the team will look to see if you fall under the relevant category

That’s why the term ‘May ‘ is used

Again it is advised to do so

Cheers
koonbey:

This is wrong.

I just checked and both Home Office emails I have that have issued new BRPs since my original student one and they both required me to cut up any previous BRP into quarters and send to them.

I've pasted the excerpt in my comment above this.

Hello

Exactly

A lot of people are missing the point

1st set-Advisory- Best to do it between changing visa categories- No penalties necessary’ please note the word ‘May’ in HO letters.

2nd set after getting citizenship-Must do it-Penalties

Hopefully it cuts across to people now, if not I rest my case

Cheers

SPDAZZY:

I think you misunderstood her comment. She is actually telling people same thing you are saying "cut and return".
