Hello Your question is very unclear Cutting and returning an invalid BRP is invalid? Maybe if you rephrase your question I will be able to advise My source is unique ☺️ Anyway there are generic guidelines you can read through The first category is same with replacement BRP when lost,it also applies to replacement even when you switch visa categories. Here’s a link to read through: -go to section lost or stolen, it applies same as explained earlier : https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/lost-stolen-damagedFor the second category on sending your BRP after attaining your BC certificate, here’s a link to read through also-go to the section that says ‘after you get your certificate’: https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-indefinite-leave-to-remainThe core difference between both is the word ‘MUST’ in the second category I hope that explains Cheers kode12: What’s your source? I’d like to see the official guidance that says cutting and returning an invalid BRP is invalid if you don’t mind. |

Hello I didn’t know there was an argument about BRPs Here’s how it works Cutting and returning BRPs till ILR is advisory, it gets destroyed on arrival Last ILR permit (BRP) before Citizenship MUST be cut into 4 and returned. The instruction for that is different and it goes with a note, saying that it is returned because the person is now a citizen plus other details like name, dob and the permit no on the BRP that is now cut in 4. That actually gets checked and the person will be fined if that isn’t done within days of getting his/her BC certificate Regardless, getting caught with multiple BRPs raises concerns of forgery, impersonation etc even when the BRPs are yours. I hope it helps Cheers Tier4Dependant: Oga! You should rest!!! The letter that comes with a new BRP says cut and return.
Simple instruction but the Nigerian in you will show yourself.
“Cut and dispose”

Hello No you don’t need to wait Once you complete your course on whatever date plus have evidence to show it’s completed you can work full time Cheers Iruobe1987: Yes I am aware, I completed my studies this month but graduation will be next month, so there was an argument that we need to wait till after graduation date before working full time |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by dduchess90(f): 3:35pm On Oct 19, 2023 |
Hello Usually after course completion date and a confirmation to say the student has completed their study.Keep that evidence if you have it. Graduation date is set by the Uni so has nothing to do with your visa condition Cheers Iruobe1987: Hello everyone, I just want to confirm if a student can work full time after course completion date or wait until after graduation date |

Hello Your PoF is for your study in the UK and should be used for that purpose If you decide to pay more fees or your accommodation keep an evidence incase it is requested from you Any other reason is deceit and will attract a 10year ban when caught Cheers Gam22: I have just received an email for interview on the 30th October. I am going to try pleading with the school for more time and sharing the interview email with them hopeful they accept. I don’t know why they set interview for 30th after waiting 1 month. Also I want to ask about POF, is it wise to take it out yet ? I have had it since June till date because my cas took from June till September to be issued before I finally applied for visa |

Pls I'm asking on behalf of friend, the couple came in as a student and dependent, the wife studying but unfortunately she was unable to complete her study and the husband got a sponsorship job which they have switched successfully as the wife is now a dependant, so they want apply for IHS refund but they afraid cos the wife didn't complete her study.
Pls can they apply for IHS refund for both of them or d husband should apply for himself alone.

Hello Not needed unless it’s requested when trying to check evidence of your child’s maintenance funds if you used your UK account. Keep the application simple and straightforward, focus on evidence of relationship (ie birth certificate, school fees paid till date etc) Cheers misskit: Is it compulsory to show uk payslips and letter from school to apply for child dependent visa? |

Hello Entirely your decision, there are no disadvantages at all I personally will prefer if applications are kept separate, it will also help the applicant keep track of everything. If you do decide to open an email for your children, the ECO knows that as minors the emails will be monitored by the parent Cheers spininaroundsun: Hello Fam,
@ Duchess and other gurus in the house.
I would like to confirm the best approach for 3 dependents (1 adult and 2 children) applying to join MA is to use just 1email address for their applications or use their individual emails?
If its 1 email address for all, must it be the MA or the MA's partner email?
Are there any advantages/disadvantages to any of this approach? |

Hello Your question is unclear If your wife has her maiden name on her passport then she should apply with her maiden name I don’t know why your name is different in both your passport and marriage certificate as the husband. That raises a lot of questions, what is different in both documents? Cheers Sola154: Good evening house
I need someone to put me through,me and my wife did our court wedding last year oct with different names on the passport. We are not bearing the same name on our passport. ukvi says documents showing both names for two years . My question is I'm I writing my name and my wife name on the document

Hello There is always a reason to get denied. It’s actually your right as an applicant to know why With US denials , they are always on the spot and will usually be insufficient home ties Back to your question, he should declare it and summarise it as the generic insufficient home ties, unless there’s something more Cheers Otuegbe: @ddochess, my friend was denied US visa in the past, now he want to come to UK, through skilled worker visa.
Must he declare his US denial without a reason, since no reason was given to him by US. |

Hello I see your questions have been addressed in the general visa thread There’s nothing more I have to add You definitely need enough evidence to convince the ECO that they have sufficient hometies. Cheers elohim24: Hello guys .... my wife's parents were refused visa last week. They are coming to the UK for the daughter's graduation and the daughter indicated she'll be funding everything with about £2,000 each and her statement of account has almost 7k. We plan to reapply immediately because the graduation is 4 weeks away... can we put 1m each in their account and say they plan to spend half of it personally during the trip or we should nullify their own statement of account entirely... below is the screenshot of the refusal letters |

I want to ask, my friend is making application for his mother but there was a mistake he made when he's doing his own application, like, when they asked about his mother name and date of birth, he made mistake with name and date of birth of his mother. The date of birth is 1970 but he filled 1965 while the name is *TAIWO AGEEbut he filled BASIRAT AGEE Although the mother bear the same name but on birth certificate is TAIWO AGEE.
is it going to have any implications ob her Visit visa. @dduchess90 and other gurus pls help. He was on cross road now |

Hello I probably missed this 2. After applying the ECO may ask for reasons/evidence on why you are replacing your visa vignette, in your case a cover letter and some emails showing discussions with potential housing agents will suffice. 3. If nothing changes then no additional document is required , if any is needed you will be contacted I strongly advise you renew it within a month of expiration Cheers 2rucool: Please, I need advice from the experience people in the house, Justwise,ddutchess90, Cashmadam and all other experience people. I got my student Visa with my family but I and my spouse traveled first in order to sort out accomodation before bringing the kids. Unfortunately, even to get accomodation for myself and spouse now has been very though since we got to the UK talkless of getting a family accomodation and I cannot afford to put these kids under this kind stress of accomodation, their vignette will expire by October ending and the option available now is to look at the possibility of renewing their vignette when a suitable accommodation is secured. So, I'll like to ask if this is a good decision or not ? Apart from paying for the vignette renewal and attending a biometric, is there any other condition that needs to be met ? And is there any timeline that an expired vignette must be renewed ? I look forward to hearing from you all Thank you. |

Hello I didn’t ask for your advise I am saying hope you aren’t selling certificates of sponsorship to people looking for care jobs, and that if you are you should stop Middle men investigations are also ongoing for scamming and selling skilled workers care jobs to people Cheers dataking: You must be ready to work and also go through Care Giver courses as a primary applicant. It is important you work. |

Hello If the HO is investigating your employer I will strongly advise not to apply for your dependants now. You should start looking at applying (not buying) for other sponsored jobs to switch your COS.Save yourself and be settled first before bringing in dependants. I know you mentioned you haven’t gotten any 60days notice yet but it’s best to assume a worst case scenario. If you haven’t gotten any job by now it is clear there will be enough evidence to suspend or revoke your sponsors license. Cheers rab4sure: My question is to those who have passed through the experience or have good knowledge of the UK immigration rule
I'll be clocking one year in the UK under the skilled worker visa this month. The problem is my sponsor have not been Providing work to about 90% of people under their sponsorship, infact I've never received a penny of pay from them. This situation I think made the home office investigate and I know they are under suspension or administrative review but the certificate of sponsorship has not been withdrawn that's why we've not been given the 60 days rule. My personal problem now is that I want to bring in family and don't know if the officer will dig into my info and refuse the application making me loose thousands of pounds for the 4 dependant or if I'm still entitled to bring my dependant as my visa is still intact. Please don't be offended house but kindly indicate if your response is based on experience or knowledge of how the immigration rules work. Thank you in advance to those who will find time to respond to a brother in need |
