i never see that ofada rice for my life once sef. how does it look like? what is the colour of the bag? do they have big size? is it in igbudu market(Warri biggest market for food stuff)? walahi ofada rice and all the local rice no fit feed even lagos population sef, talk more of the whole country.
if Jonathan get sense make he listen to my advise;
1. set up a rice board in the minstry of agric.
2. note all the states and areas in Nigeria that can grow rice well
3. encourage farmers by giving them maximum support, if possible, bring oyibo come sef
4. encourage the youths to go into farming, by training some interested youths and equipping them with seeds, land and all they need to succeed(me am interested, and i know no less than 1million youth will be interested)
5. set up rice packaging industries close to the farm
6. watch the production, for 2 years and see the local rice is doing, (everybody like good things,the local rice is better and richer than the foreign 10 years old rice, the local rice must sell, just package am well)
11. after ensuring that the local production can feed 80% of our population, then jack the importation watever to 500%, na ur country, nobody go qtns u

Since last week the university has been sending texts to selected persons for aptitude test, the test is being written in batches according to post applied for. does anybody in the house have information on the timetable for the rest days of exam. and does anyone have idea of the kind of questions that will be asked for technologist aptitude tests

Take for example i am into importation. If i go to a bank to obtain dollars to import goods, apart from exhaustive bureaucratic bottle necks, i am most probably going to be told no dollars now, come back next week. So i would be forced to patronize my favourite mallam at about N160 to the dollar. But if i am to be paid in dollars for the same goods, the banks would give me ridiculous exchange rate like N150 to the dollar.

So would it not make better business sense to sell my dollars to alams at N157 and buy from him at N160?

In Delta State, a King is now being called to serve his people by the Governor, in the olden days, what power does a Governor have over a King who is the custodian of the old-traditions, Now the reason why they are doing this is because with the Kings being under the Governor he now has Total control over the Voice of the communities, communities respect their Kings even when the Government are Bad, and now the Kings are now being bossed by the Government, how will the cry of the people be heard...?

The Chiefs are now being paid by the Government making them forget their roles in the communities as Royal fathers, 2007 80% of the Chiefs in Warri/Effurun were using bike to attend palace meetings and Government events, but today, Not even a single one has Concord Benz anymore, they all now drive in flashy cars that were bought for them by the Government, Rights of the communities have been sold.


Issues like these in the first place are supposed to be handled by the Royal Fathers and Traditional Rulers, even as it is now, It's been 2-3years since Delta State conducted Local Government Election simply because the state Government said they are not financially strong enough to allocate budget yet to the Local Governments, and you expect people to pay Tax....?

Our rights as citizens has been stolen by our Traditional Rulers and the value of community service and Rural Developments/Empowerment has been stolen, now if the State Government does any little thing they expect the whole state to commend their efforts when Individual communities are actually suffering, The Air Pollution that is caused alone by Refinery is enough for the Oil companies to Power the whole city with 24/7 Electricity, but no they will not, because there are people who are actually collecting the funds meant for rural development through back door. so it will be better if the People start first with their Traditional Rulers, then step up to those representing them both in the Senate and House of Assembly, that way they will be able to get the message, after which they can face the State and then the Federal Government.
