This hotel with 113 rooms by the catholic diocese of warri was constructed in 7 months to host the Bishop conference in 2014. Guess how much was spent to build it, with all the rush, day and night workers... #1billion. i wonder why our politicians are so heartless.

It seems Islam Is really a problem to this world o, only blind fools will think otherwise, look at all the Islamic nations, all are war torn, Northern Nigeria is like stone age, Muslim people commit all sort of atrocities in this country and there people don't say anything. I think I will be reconsidering the oneness of this country o. Just imagine. The should contact channels TV, I trust mope, they will call igp and the sharia council on air straight . |
vivaciousvivi:your argument is very correct, but all this is actually necessary in a saner society, not in Nigeria, we are just too adamant to changing our ways, the hard way is usually the best way for us. my sister, just think it through, if we say, we want to wait for light and all those policy and laws to be put in place first, u will see our national assembly, debating for two months, stakeholders meeting here and there, committees here and there, just turning round a circle, Buhari is just one man, we dont expect him to go and start making tooth pick for us, all those people involved in the importation of these stuffs should source the materials locally. for Nigeria, na when e don reach die minute we dey serious, Buhari has created a die minute for us, let us start facing locally made products. if we wait for policy, infrastructure and what have u, so go dey here 20 years. lets start now, lets make use of what we have on ground, we will learn and improve on the job. |
Newleaf:My friend.. o yes i am a buharist, well if he closed the borders to stop importation of rice and other food stuff, then that is a step in the right direction. No solid plan? yes no solid plan and the price of rice will go up, good, thats what will sure make us get serious. for so many years we have been oil dependent, people have been shouting, diversify, the leaders refuse to listen, now the oil price has deepen, we are now running up and down, if we had diversify long ago this wouldn't have affected us. so also if we dont lock away those Thailand rice our local production can never be boosted and the govt will not be serious about it. so banning rice importation is a welcome development. its now time to invite all stake holders involved in the production of those banned product, to know the way forward. |
DOLLAR = N197 Please let me explain to those of us who don't understand Economic terms. Dollar has not increased since Buhari became president 1. Dollar is not our currency so dollar should not be our business 2. Our problem is not d government but our problem is our importers and consumers 3. Naira has remained at 197 naira to 1 dollar since Buhari became president 4. Buhari has promised not to devalue the Naira and he has maintained that promise 5. Both at CBN and at interbank rates, dollar has remained 197 6. However because we are too lazy to produce what we use in Nigeria we import even toothpicks and matches 7. Buhari does not like d importation of luxury goods because luxury goods is d reason for most corruption, that is why he banned 41 products from having access to forex 8. However when Nigerian importers insisted on importing those 41 products, FG asked them to find their dollar at d BDCs parallel market also known as black market 9. And to discourage the pressure Nigerians are mounting on the Naira just to get dollars for importation, CBN banned DMBs from selling dollars to BDCs 10. To survive the pressure of excess dollar demands, BDCs resorted to sourcing for dollars from neighbouring countries through illicit money laundering routes 11. Because of the risks faced by BDCs to source for dollars, and because of the increase in demand for dollars by importers because China just resumed from their business holidays, BDCs keep increasing the price at which they exchange dollars to naira and now it is 400 Naira to 1 dollars 12. However that does not mean that govt has changed the exchange rate because if our genuine importers go to CBN and fill Form M to import raw materials for local production, they will get dollars at 197 naira each 13. So the problem is that we love to consume luxury foreign products yet we are too lazy to manufacture them here. 14. For example u will see a dull girl using iPhone 5 without even knowing simple physics and computer engineering part of how that phone was produced 15. I want Buhari to ban every foreign product from Nigeria until Nigerians learn to produce and use Made in Nigeria products 16. Let us stop complaining about dollar as if dollar has become Nigeria's currency 17. It is even bad enough that most of those complaining about the high exchange rate of dollar do not have 1 single dollar in their purse. COPIED |
Can the Fund be recovered? Yes, if they can get the names and data of the Ghost workers. How? 1. they collect their money through a bank, go to the bank and see the record of those collecting the money simple. |
nanauju:Girl are you even thinking? Suicide bombing/terrorism is an ideology that cannot be fought with just intelligence and warfare, it needs a higher and better ideology to dislodge and eventually win this war. the best way to handle this girl is to proclaim her a Hero, give her awards, scholarship, like Malala, hype her so much that even the captured girls will hear that one of their partners, who was sent to detonate a bomb and refused is being praised and turned to a Heroine. We need to think beyond this terrorist, we need to discourage the girls, let the girls have reasons to think twice even after being brainwashed. If the girl is arrested or killed or even kept or returned to her parents just like that, it will be counter productive. Now this is a test of intelligence for our govt. |

tobimillar:DO THE NIGER DELTA LEADERS AND GOVERNORS HAVE BRAINS? THEY DONT ALL THEY THINK OF IS TO MAKE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILIES. THINKING OF MAKING MONEY AVAILABLE FOR THE STATE AND CREATING JOBS IS NEVER IN THEIR REASONING, INCLUDING ALL THEIR ADVISERS. AM A NIGER DELTAN AND I KNOW ABOUT OUR LEADERS, THEY EXACTLY LIKE GEJ (CLUELESS) |
Karanka:AM NOT AN IGBO MAN, AM AN URHOBO, BUT I NEED TO BE INVOLVE IN THIS DISCUSSION BECAUSE I KNOW U GUYS WILL ATTACK THE MESSAGER, BECAUSE SHE IS SAYING THE TRUTH, THE LADY HAS SEEN WHAT EVERYBODY IN THE WHOLE WORLD SEE, U GYUYS SEEM TO SUPPORT THE CORRUPT REGIME OF GEJ AND PDP, FORGET THAT PIX UP THERE, THE COMMENTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA SAYS IT ALL, U GUYS HAVE ALWAYS SOUNDED LIKE THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IS BITING U GUYS, LIKE SHE SAID, WHEN OBJ WAS PRESIDENT THE YORUBAS WERE THE ONES WHO CRITICISED HIM MOST, EVEN EVEN IF OTHERS DO NOT SPEAK THE TRUTH BY CRITICISING WHAT IS EVIL, DOESNT MAKE EVIL GOOD, EVIL IS EVIL. STOP THIS NONSENSE, SAY NO TO EVIL AND LIVE. |
Kirigidi:bros it is an open secret that Tompolo is a strong ally of the present administration, and we know Okowa is there on borrowed time or stolen mandate, but then the seat of the governor and indeed the pride of the people of Delta state is what we talking about here. u can come to my domain to control things just like that. moreover this tompolo man has already said he isnt involve in the blowing of pipeline, some idiot have actually claimed responsibilities for the bombing. |
free2ryhme:i concur, even though i know, okowa wasnt voted by the majority of Deltans, but right now he is the seating gov, and delegated his deputy.i am an APC member, a strong buhari supporter, but then, what the minister and his entourage did his an insult on the people of Delta State, you dont come to my house to form actor, the locals are suppose to lead you to the site, it doesnt have to be the governor, when the governor is not dispose, the deputy should stand in, thats the reason why principal officers have deputies. the minister is indeed a learner and should be warned. Make him head dey him neck o. |
LordAdam:osharena 99% high o, shuuuu, naim be say, we die well o. but the thing be say, if we continue to dey talk about here and outside here, people go begin hear the matter, and God sef go put hand for the matter, because if we just quite like say all is well, e go red for we and our children o. |
warripekin:its just a question, if our youths are cursed, but you are a typical example of what is making shed tears for our youth.. ibori might not be as corrupt as tinubu and those people u mentioned, but no doubt he his a thief, a common thief and because he committed his crime in a country where their laws work, thats why he has been convicted, if our past govt aint corrupt and lovers of impunity, these persons accuse of corruption would have been tried and if found guilty would have been jailed too, but what do we have? same class of leaders, the gejs, uduaghans, okowas, and even you, who glorify corrupt people. whether lagos people hold their people to account or not or allow those touts collect illegal money from people, its their business, if am in lagos i will complain, if its a against the law. we need reorientation for our youth. my question to u is have u ever visited cross river state or akwa ibom? when you get there u will curse ibori, the money ibori received was thrice the amount donald duke got and he was able to transform his state with little revenue. here u are saying ibori created employment. referring to people like newton and friday ani as people, Newton is the leader of my community, and i say they are CORRUPT THIEVES and incompetent leaders like Ibori. saying this here is even a risk to my life, but i must speak, its better i speak and die, because i will still die. for this your commit up there, its really a fact, Delta youths need serious orientations and prayer. |
Slikbae:yea, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. somebody once said The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing. even if i am unable to do much, at least i tried, my children will say i tried and i wasnt comfortable or ran away from the problem. |

TonyeBarcanista:after analyzing the whole problems, the best easiest way out is for the good guys to join in taking up leadership positions in the state and region as a whole. we are just too backward. |
Slikbae:Warri is lost, we are in a big mess here, youths and thugs everywhere... u want to tar a street, thugs from the same street, who use the road will come and make trouble with u for trying to tar the street. i just wish i can smomatch running away from my community, but i just cant.something need to be done. |
checkolatunji:but how long can this continue, we cant just continue like this. things have to change at some point u know. |
when i see the comments of my fellow Deltans celebrating criminals, thuggery and impunity, i feel so ashamed, the truth remains that the average Deltan needs reorientation, they do not know the meaning of good governance, as a matter of fact they have not felt good governance, just come to Delta state and see how criminality is being celebrated, i will use my community as an example for glorifying criminality and the repercussions. my community, Ekpan in Uvwie L.G.A. have a known criminal is their leader, enthroned by the king of the kingdom, he was once a thug worked for the past pdp govt in the state, now he calls the shot in the community, he empowers the uneducated thugs by giving them sensitive positions i the community. Ekpan community is not just a small community, its the real oil city, it host the WRPC, PPMC, CHEVRON, NGC, NESTOIL and many other multinationals to name but a few. but the community is still in the dirt in terms of development, the main public secondary school there is a write off, the hospital there is like where pigs are kept. you see we have a big problem in Delta state, only God can deliver us, look at the so called enlighten ones on nairaland celebrating criminality, its the general mentality here in delta state, warri especially, because Ibori tarred some roads, build some structures, and they see him as someone that has done so much, and majority of these guys have never crossed out of the state. when i compare the revenues of delta and cross river state and the level of development there, i just weep every day. Warri is like a huge dump site, thugs harassing citizens collecting money from them and nobody is saying anything. all these things i have seen and resolved in my heart to attain power by going into politics, there is a saying that evil thrives because the good ones refuse to do anything about it. i just pray God see me through. |
its a big shame to see and here our youths celebrating a common thief, am from delta state. its truth that our people have been so deprived of good governace and they do not know anything about good leadership. that was why they voted blindly for gej because he is their son not minding his incompetency. is really a shame. |
Wahala90:guy who is ogedengbe? na ur papa? why were they killed? if them no be tiff, moreover i heard the sons and wife of these guys u are mentioning voted for pmb, guy the election has been won and lost, pls move on, PMB is the president for the next 4 years, learn to deal with that fact. i bet u would have preferred pdp to still be in power to continue to drain our resources, whereas u no even benefit from the 16 years miss rule o. i tears for u |
the president has made believe in Nigeria again, with his anti corruption drive, blocking all leakages, stealing now corruption, sense of good governance at the federal level, though much work still need to be done though. Op just imagine if we have had PMB-like leaders for the past 16 years. Nigeria would have been like China by now. gradually we will get there. |
thats the way to go na, thats the reason we voted the change, all the appointments of PDP should be uprooted ASAP, its not a matter to debate na. PMB use your head o. |
this is the right time to face other resources in this country, Fayemi oya explore all other resources, the ball is in your court now, prove to us you are innovative as a minister. |
Omenkata:look at u, Delta is already falling into APC change agenda, rumours have it that the gov is planning to join APC (i dont even want him in our party even), the labour party senator will eventually fall into APC. that woman's case is special, shes is core PDP with PDP mentality. she cant win even with APGA in Anambra. |
Omenkata:why these ibo people they mention "we" all the time, ur igbo leaders love any party that can deliver oshofree for them, make una with ipod they fool around there. and before i forget, stop mentioning "we" i love APC, i love PMB, i love Oshobaba, i love Ngige, i love Fashola, i love Olorogun Festus Keyamo, I love Oguagu and the good companies of APC and i am from Delta State. |
subscribed. waiting for continuation of the lectures |
BlackPeni5:Gbam!!! the old man no know watin e dey talk, his lawyers are deceiving him, i remember buying a stolen phone from a guy in school, them catch the boy finish, omo i nearly sleep cell for the matter sef. By the time Baba Olu sleep cell, for the second time, he go return the money with extra. |
mazeltov:my friend, this is quite different from the syria, iraq and borno case, Nigeria wasnt in war during that period, the place was peaceful, we just re activated our democracy then, and every wise biz man would want to be the early bird, get all profits as quik as possible, that was how econet, mtn etc. came and even paid heavily to start the gsm biz in Nigeria. its just timing and again OBJ no bring GSM come Nigeria. |
crippling nation? well this is quite different from the subject here, but i will give u a good analysis, Nigeria has the highest growing population in the world, Nigeria has the highest number of untapped or underutilized resources in the world, Nigeria's market is so active, that anything can sell, Nigeria is a unique place, where even in the face of uncertainty, the people still look to hope and struggles for a better tomorrow, in Nigeria even if bomb is blowing up everywhere people still go and open their shop to hustle, u can never stop the spirit of a Nigeria. that is why Nigerians are the highest number of people in every country after the host citizens. now who wouldnt want to invest in Nigeria. Now back to the topic, OBJ didnt bring GSM to Nigeria |
