Forget the propaganda, Port Harcourt is owned by the Ikwerre an aborigine Igbo group. The Igbo are in Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa and Akwa Ibom as natives. So, out of six states in the nebulous South South, the Igbo are found in five as natives. The Urhobo are just less than an Igbo clan found in a small enclave. The Igbo are still the majority in South South bro without Ohaneze's help and there is nothing you can do about it! You know the Urhobo town of Orogun? It is is bilingual. Go check it out, they speak both Urhobo and Igbo. Even in Urhobo, we have some influence too. Moreover, there are several Igbo words in Urhobo.

No the Urhobo are not the majority in Delta state. Further, the Uhrobo have 8 local government areas as opposed to 9 for Anioma. For your information, in 1963 when the erstwhile Midwest region was created, the Anioma people constituted the majority. Now the Urhobo have manipulated the figures to now claim majority in half of a state that the Igbo were the majority in a whole.

This spurious assertion from the Urhobo that since the Igbo have the capital, they cannot aspire for governorship is really a non sequitur. It does not make sense and does not deserve any response. Also, saying that the Igbo in Delta contributes nothing economically to Delta state is another fallacious statement. I am not sure what you mean by the assertion that Anioma contributes nothing economically.

If by your assertion you mean no oil and gas in Anioma as some of you propagandists are wont to say, you would be mistaken because you would have ignored the huge gas reserve in Okpai and other Anioma towns that have commercial quantity of oil and gas. Even if Arguendo, Anioma does not produce oil and gas, your sweeping assertion would still be false because the economy of Delta is not only fueled by oil and gas. Moreover, your assertion that Urhobo contribute more economically than other tribes to the state coffers is like your other assertions, baseless.

As for the location of the capital of Delta State, it appears that you and your ilk are still pained by it. However, I would like to suggest to you to get over it. It has been 20 years dude. No need to continue to whine over spilt milk. Save for those of you vocal minority that are more revanchist, the Igbo in Delta and the Urhobo have a lot more in common. We have been neighbors from time immemorial and will continue to be so. Even if you guys get your much desired "real Delta," the Igbo in Delta will never be deported ala Fashola to Onitsha head bridge. We will continue to inter marry with the Urhobo as we have for ages.

We all the need to join hands as Deltans to make the state the envy of others not the home of ethnic irredentists. In fact, the Anioma people are the stabilizing group of Delta and the home of peace. We need balanced analysis of situations before coming to a conclusion. Majority of people who have never been to Delta state and never bother to research what Ibori did for the people of his state always call for the killing of Ibori.

Ibori brought a lot of govt presence to his people after many years of neglect. No matter what Ibori did, people will remember Ibori for the infrastructure he developed in his state, just as we remember Ambrose Ali for the schools he built across the former Bendel state, even though he cheated Delta by putting the state University in his home town of Ekpoma.

Billyonaire: Ibori is a good person, but a career fraudster. In politics he was the youngest Godfather of a President. He singlehandedly purchased PDP Ticket for Y'aradua of blessed memory, he was Yaradua's silent Godfather and infact put some ministers on seats of power.

Before Ibori, Niger Delta was taken for granted, his fearless demeanour empowered many activists and freedom fighters and militants who demanded what belonged to Niger Deltans, it was because of Ibori's control of yaradua that Amnesty was given to our brothers in the Creeks.

Many of us only see the fraudster in Ibori, but I see the goodness in him and am blinded to his folly and pride.

He was tried, convicted, and sentenced to 13years imprisonment in Britain.
Several millions of dollars of his assets were also confiscated.

He was to be followed later to jail by his wife, mistress, sister, and lawyer for their various roles in his larceny.
Presently his birthday celebration is on while still in gaol for grand scale larceny.
