coputa: Who is festus keyamo..a noise maker struggling to be noticed,.making noise in a court room and politics are two different ball game altogether...keyamo lacks the political will and sagacity to run for the seat of the Governor of the state,he ldoes not know his people...what has he done to help his kith and kins in Delta state nay uvwie kingdom in terms of offering of scholarship and some economic concern..NOTHING....he ihas not been tested and trusted...Delta state is not a place for hypocrites who want to hoodwink the people in order to jump on the crest of power.....LET ME EDUCATE U MORE, KEYAMO IS A VOICE THAT IS GRADUALLY REPLACING GANI'S WHENEVRE HE SPEAKS FG TREMBLE IN FEAR, HE HAS BEEN IN THE STRUGGLE SINCE THE DAYS OF ABACHA, HE RECENTLY WON THE CASE OF REMOVING THE POWER OF THE PRESIDENCY TO APPOINT SERVICE CHIEFS WITHOUT PASSING THROUGH THE SENATE. HE HAS SINCE BEEN HELPING DELTANS IN COURT CASES FREE OF CHARGE, HE HAS SUCCESSFULLY HELPED UVWIE'S LAST POPULATION LANCENSUS CANCELLED SO THAT ACCURATE COUNT CAN BE MADE AGAIN. HE HAS DRAGGED THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND THE NIGERIAN ARMY IN RETAKING THE LANDS THAT BELONGS TO OVER 100 FAMILIES IN UVWIE[FREE OF CHARGE] |
This goes to show that corruption will never end in Naija. Pity.
sister everything that has a beginning has an end. ONE DAYY MONKEY GO GO MARKET, E NO GO RETURN. AND U BEAF AKA BILLIONAIRE YA DAYZ ARE NUMBERED.... |
Aarenaija: The people from that part of the country are just like that. To them their son is just being a victim of political crossfire.that is true o, but at the detriment of their generation of children yet unborn. we the youth of this age should put a stop to this trend and bring looters to their kneels. we need to vote credibility. |
omonuan: You are the one filled with hatred against Anioma people. Your vile diatribe needs no response anymore. You can continue to wallow in your own anger and hate. Asaba is a village and Anioma people contribute nothing to Delta according to you. Eat your heart out dude! |
omonuan: Your propaganda must stop. Delta state belongs to everyone irrespective of tribe. This mendaciously stated diatribe of yours should not go un rebutted. No the Urhobo are not the majority in Delta state. Further, the Uhrobo have 8 local government areas as opposed to 9 for Anioma. For your information, in 1963 when the erstwhile Midwest region was created, the Anioma people constituted the majority. Now the Urhobo have manipulated the figures to now claim majority in half of a state that the Igbo were the majority in a whole.brother u have spoken like a real brother and a democrat. we have a common enermy the looters, when they share money they do not say i am urhobo or anioma or itsekiri or ijaw, they share their money and drink together, we need to put work together in respective of the tribe or senatorial district to remove these our common enermy the looters |
coputa: The urhobos are in the majority in the state; they have the highest numbers of local government in the state,as well as producing a higher percentage of the state resources. The Aniomas (delta igbos) has the capital...but does not contribute economically to the development of the state.....you cannot have the capital and at the same time produce the governor,it is not politically feasible...The isoko's,itsekiri's and ijaw's are minorties in the state but with appreciable economic leverage to power the state.....UDUAGHAN dissapointed the urhobos, since he came on board as no meaningful development has been carried out in any urhobo town, in terms of political appointmet, the urhobos are left at the back seat...to add insult to injury,he is planning to impose a candidate from Delta north on us,so that he can cover up for him at the detriment of the Urhobos....having said that, who is the credible urhobo that can wrestle pnwer from the incumbent come 2015....Senator ewherido who is a shinning light in the state,a true urhobo son, died mysteriously leaving a big leadership vacuum in the state....we need a true and tested urhobo son that will fill the leadership gap and not noise makers...We need to look beyond tribal sentiments and choose leaders based on credibility. Delta state's money have been misused since 1999 till date, all delta govt's institution leaders are filled with corrupt individuals appointed by corrupt governors. that's why need strong anticorruption crusader, to pursue, deliver and recover all the loots from these people. thereafter make judicious use of the funds to better the lives of Deltan. Festus Keyamo has all it takes, he is the most qualified right now.. |
Come to tink of it, when u look at those names of those wanting his release, they still belong to the set of pple looting our resources, jst imagine a serving commissioner. Also U cnt blame those ordinary natives of oghara clamouring 4 his release, being that; they are illitrates, they see that d man did some tins in their town, fg has been doing pardoning and release of thieves and killers and finally he is their brother(blood is thicker than water). But this cannt continue o. We must do something. |
IYA NGBALI: I weep for this country. I give up,it is finished.my sister it is nt yet finished, with people like u who still believe in doing the rite things, there is hope. We cnt do otherwise becos we ll hav 2 answer qtns 4rm our children. We jst need to start talking and preaching the change we need, in no time, we ll get it right, it has started in delta state. |
The politicians came out of the masses bro.. How would some right-minded people want their government to facilitate the release of a thief? He comes out, contest election, wins and continue to steal the birthright of your future generation, while the rest of your kinsmen wallow in poverty, insecurity and kidnapping? Why do you all have to gather to celebrate the birthday of a thief if you all have dignity in the first place? Nigerians on one side would glorify a thieving politician and on the other side rant about deplorable state of infrastructures in their communities...
emi ke..celebrate a criminal's birthday? I wish i met any of those pple celebrating, in 1 on 1 encounter, i for ....i dnt even knw. A man dat has made my state and people stay in poverty deserve death sentence in my dictionary. |
When i hear comments like this, i begin to wonder if these politicians are really our problem or rather the masses |
FG urged to facilitate Ibori’s release from London jail on August 08, 2013 / in News 1:20 am / Comments OGHARA—MORE than one year after former Delta State governor, Chief James Ibori, was convicted by a London court, his kinsmen and key political stakeholders in Delta State have called on the Federal Government to facilitate his release and subsequent return to Nigeria, describing him as an epitome of infrastructural and human capital development in the state. Niger Delta activist and Warri chief, Ayirimi Emami, who was among stakeholders that spoke to newsmen in Oghara, the country home of Chief Ibori, shortly after a novelty football match organised to celebrate the former governor’s 55th birthday, described his travail as political, adding that Ibori developed the youths, roads and other infrastructure to better the lots of Deltans. Chief Emami, Chairman of Itsekiri Regional Development Committee, IRDC, said: “Despite being in prison, if Ibori happens to contest election now, he will win because he is a man of the people.” Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Ben Igbakpa, an aide to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Faith Majemite, a member on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. Henry Ofa and other top political office holders in Delta State, who also bared their minds described the huge turn-out of people at the novelty football match played at the Oghara township stadium between Ibori United of Oghara and Ibori United of Warri as a testament of the ex governor’s popularity and developmental strides while he was in the saddle as Delta State chief executive. An Oghara indigene, Simon Otobo opined that the Urhobo, who prayed for Ibori’s arrest were now regretting doing so because of the political gulf his absence was causing the Urhobo nation and pleaded for leniency on the part of the Nigerian and British governments. An elderly woman and a commercial motorcycle rider, Omoko Rose and Edafewogho Ekawhen, respectively, commended the former governor for developing Oghara in Ethiope West Local Government Area of the state and appealed to the Federal Government to work towards Ibori’s release, noting that it would help stabilise the polity. Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Ben Igbakpa, an aide to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Faith Majemite, a member in the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Mr. - See more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/fg-urged-to-facilitate-iboris-release-from-london-jail/#sthash.zBvrkGwd.dpuf |

Billyonaire: Ibori is a good person, but a career fraudster. In politics he was the youngest Godfather of a President. He singlehandedly purchased PDP Ticket for Y'aradua of blessed memory, he was Yaradua's silent Godfather and infact put some ministers on seats of power.now i get where u are coming from all this while. Beaf ur days r numbered. Evil and sorry may last 4 d nite, but shall surely come in the morning. PDP must be removed from govt in dis country. My people pls open ur eyes and mind, even if u tink apc and pdp r d same, lets just try another party 4 trying sake. PdP has cause much havoc already. 2015 pdp must go. |

ok i can help state some conditions. 1. any PDP member coming to join, will not hold or contest any political office until after 10 years. 2. Intending PDP members who want to join the progressive must undergo psycho-mental test for admission 3. they must be schooled on the meaning and essence of key terms in democracy 4. they should be made to deposit 10 billion naira as collateral/asset in the party progressives on this forum can add their terms |
o yes, maybe APC might consider FASHOLA/ROCHAS presidential ticket for 2015, who knows. |
ono: Can we at least be civil enough not to hurl insults at others because of their views?my brother the thing they pain me.. that even after some people's level of education, they still choose to act ignorant, even in the world of information, where u can access infor abt good governance, some deltans are still blind. a man will be given a mandate to use our collective wealth to develop ourv state, they will embezzle everything, and even if they manage to tie some road and fix some street lights, people will begin to praise them as if, its not their duty. OUR PROPLE ARE SO IGNORANT....NA ONLY GOD GO SEE US THROUGH. |
docadams: Just for the record: Ibori was caught, at least on two occasions in the early 90's, for shoplifting in London. His wife was an accessory.JUST IMAGINE |
erico2k2: Exactly, thats what we all should be looking at,to every and each one of us there is a positive and negative part, depends on what side you look at, I have said it more than 100 times in this Forum, name ur state lets see if ur governor can match Ibori on development of the states, if you are from Ondo,Edo,Ogun,Osun hands up here if you are batching Ibori here.U MUST BE VERY MAD, DO U KNOW HOW MUCH DELTA STATE HAS RECEIEVED SINCE 1999 TILL DATE...... 4 TRILLION NAIRA. AND U WANT TO COMPARE WITH CROSS RIVER STATE HAVE NOT RECEIVED UP TO 1/10 OF THAT AMOUNT. IGNORANCE IS NOT JUST A DISEASE, IT IS A SLAVERY DISEASE. WE ARE COMING FOR PEOPLE LIKE U,IN 2015 |

MacLovington: .no there is hope, for it is said, if there is life, there is hope, i begins from me and you, we should start looking for ways to take up leadership positions in our communities and local govts, so that we the enlighten ones can turn things arround, our parents have failed us, we shouldnt fail our children..... |
I can't believe this . Thesame people that are suffring from his bad did,are still d ones celebrating his birthday for him. As if that is nt enough ,they are calling a thief a Legend.I pity my people .
who told u that, the people celebrating him are his accompanies that have not been caught yet, but by 2015, Festus Keyamo will be coming for all of them. they should celebrate now, becos very soon, they will be gnashing their teeth in prison. |

You will not like it if you're called something offensive - except you were brought up in your family to like such and you're used to it.
