Nice one. Igboamaka |
Leave those hypocrital zombies... If they so much admit that they support the gender equality which is already embedded in the Igbo societal values.. They should see this and do the needful. Rubbish https://www.nairaland.com/3412478/nigerian-senate-why-lawmakers-could |
TheArchangel:Anambra people are in support of Willie. His good works is surely speaking for him. Am not from Anambra north though and I don't need to be before I support Obiano's good governance. I stand with Obiano and not Anambra |
Putting the records straight, We now know the section of our dear country that will always fight to kick against the equal right for our women. This is the fact and any other rubbish is null and void. |
Why lawmakers could not pass equal rights bill Sunday Isuwa | 10:42 | 16.03.2016 Revelations are beginning to emerge on why the Nigeria Senate could not pass a Bill for a Law to eliminate all forms of discrimination against women. The Bill, sponsored by Sen. Biodun Olujimi (APC-Ekiti), was inspired by the controversial abduction and forceful marriage of Ese Oruru and abuse of women in the country. Olujimi titled it ‘A Bill for an Act to Incorporate and enforce certain provisions of the United Nations Convention of all forms of discrimination against women.’ Section 5 of the Bill, states “every person, body, institution, community, authority or private enterprise whether public organ or body, public institution, individuals, communities or authority and private enterprise in Nigeria shall all appropriate measures, including regulatory policy, fiscal and administrative measures, to ensure the full development and advancement of all persons, especially young women and girl children, for the purpose of guaranteeing to them the exercise and enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms on a basis of non-discrimination and equality of all persons.” But when the motion was raised for deliberation on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, Senators throw the bill out and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki had no option than to state the position of the majority voices with nay. Pulse gathered that many of the male senators, especially from the Northern part of the country don’t want the bill passed because of some cultural and religious reasons. "This Bill has been coming in and out of the Senate, and the men have been shooting it down. Most men, especially from a particular part of the country, have continued to clash with the provisions of the Bill. They don't want gender parity, and that is why they have been shooting it down." "This is not the first time; they have shot it down before. We want gender parity, even though many men do not want this Bill to pass because it will mean less control of their women" the female senator said at the end of the plenary. Senators who spoke against the bill seeking to give women some level of parity include Emmanuel Bwacha (Taraba-PDP) and Adamu Aliero (APC-Kebbi) Deputy Leader of the Senate, Bala Ibn Na'Allah (Kebbi-APC). http://pulse.ng/local/nigerian-senate-why-lawmakers-could-not-pass-equal-rights-bill-id4809408.html Cc: passingshot quotasystem Cc: lalatisticlala

QuotaSystem:Guilt? Far from it. Admit you are a sycophant and a big hypocrite. I have this package for your lofts, don't bother thanking.
|
QuotaSystem:Hypocrites ke?? They have different views and they are entitled to it. Meanwhile didn't the Constitution of Nigeria guarantee such right? Why go for redundancy? You are the bigger hypocrite and a sycophant for not admitting they later agreed for the bill to be stepped down for more consultations. Please I have no time to argue this, the Constitution sees every Nigerian as equal. Besides you can equally get lost. |
Speechless |
Abeg zombie what's your point exactly? Didn't you read where it says the bill was stepped down for more consultation? Moreover I see the bill as a colossal waste of time and resources BC such right has already been guaranteed in the Constitution so why go for redundancy ? Again zombie, what's your point? ![]() |
udatso:Why not answer yes or no before you went unto searching of whom to educate . When an old man marry a little girl to be her granddaughter, what is it? Whether redefine or not kindly answer or stfu and get lost. |
udatso:Dont be a slowpoke, girl looser If is not age what is? When an old man marry a little girl to be her granddaughter, what is it? Paedophiles everywhere |
TROY85:I donno. But how did it relate to my post? |
TonyeBarcanista:Don't rejoice too soon, buhari might fail the north but will the north fail him? Listen to d precept. Baba-Ahmed, however, added that despite the current economic woes in the country, the northern votes for Buhari in 2015 were not wasted, pointing out that the region did not make a mistake in voting for the president |
[s] MrPresident1:[/s] Stop that rubbish joke Oduduwa fell from the sky. |
So buhari was deceived by this
|
Tolexander:Have you forgotten how Hausa brain works? Tell them anything so far as you are in a higher class, they will kindly harken to it. His message was not meant for people like you as your iq has supposedly advance inline as your academic advances but what about your northern counterpart, will that be said for their case? I doubt. The man piece is apt. |
OdenigboAroli:I can never discard from my memory or journal the good deeds of obi for his zeal for a quality governance for the people of Anambra state. And him giving us akpokuedike who has not failed in taking the good governance baton away from the reach of obi. 'Hence your submission could not be more apt". ![]() |
This man is the reason why some section of the country decided to risk putting all there eggs in one basket. Alas buhari has vindicated them. Yeye man that didn't know he should always cover his excesses not just to put his critics to shame but justify the vote he got from people that freely gave it to him out of goodwill. And here we have it, reverse is the case as he is busy disgracing everyone back2back with impunity. It feel like a curse to be a zombie right now!!! ![]() |
GenBuhari:Obiano has proved to me once again that he is a man of vision. He knows a day will come when hatebile people out of hatred for his governance will tend to ignore or ask foolishly what he has really achieved even when they see, feel and touch it, that's why he has always made sure to always list his achievements when celebrating any year in office. And we youth whom good governance is much appealing to will always shun it out and rub it on the face of the said haters. I won't want to derail this thread but will give you a link here on nairaland for you to bear witness to it and liberate yourself from the shackle of sidetalks with no credible source. This is it heal yourself, I would have ignored but alas am less busy. https://www.nairaland.com/2994604/obiano-marks-2-years-office |
