This thing happen a lot. And I think we should not mistaken the pain of the original owner
of the songs as wanting to get cheap publicity. You may not know how it feels until you become
a victim.

A friend of mine had his song stolen by two guys. I can't remember the name of those artistes anymore.
They got famous for the stolen song "One day one day one day e go better, e go better , I go get money
I go get picking, " and after that we heard nothing about them again because they are not good.

Apparently, a producer that was supposed to produce my friend gave the song to them when my friend was
still on the street hustling to get more money to continue with the job in the studios.

I feel your pain man. Leave them to God. As long as you are a great talent you will be noticed someday.

There is nothing you do for human being that will satisfy them.

My advice to Fashola is to please continue to use tax payers money for his
continual worth while projects. At least, we can pin point our hands to what his
predecessors did. We saw there face, we heard them sell ideas to us but we saw neither our money
nor their ideas executed. Now we have a governor that utilizing our money to the things he promised
to do and we are still complaining that he should have been doing something else.

How I wish Koro or whatever they call his name had won the election, all of you would almost have been
cursing the day Lagos voted him in. You ungrateful lots!

Fashola go ahead with your great work you still have the support of some of us.

Na wah for you guys on this thread o. Honestly I won't respond anymore to you.
You are beginning to make me sound like an anti-Igbo just because I wanted you
to see my point of view which I strongly believe will help you guys if you still want to smell
the presidency in Nigeria.

Apart from being married to an Igbo a whole lot of my friends are Igbos. Infact the best of them is Igbo (Chigozie)
And before you accuse me of being hypocritical again, note that I'm not seeking your approval.
I love Nigeria and I see myself first as a Nigerian before I even consider my tribe.

From here, you guys can say all you like, I don't care. I'm done with this thread.
Like we used to say in a debating competition; I hope with these few points of mine I've been able to convince and not confuse you.
In case you are still confused na your own palava be dat.

deb,

we 've all read your post and your views are not very different from the poster's. The only difference is that he (the poster) is straight about his views. You arent.

What else can anyone say to you when you liken an igbo presidency to Obama!

Shame on you.
Laughing my a$$ out here! cheesy Self denial will not do you any good
You guys don't ever want to accept the truth and you will keep suffering for it
You still have not accepted your reputation in Nigeria yet. You must be kidding If you think Nigerians will just vote any Igbo man that show face.

You better find an Obama among you or you simply forget about the presidency in Nigeria.
You are smaller and can't even earn the trust of other tribes to lead us right.
Take or leave the plain truth, you need an Obama! PERIOD lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

@Eziachi
I can't help laughing at your post, can you just explain to me what you mean by an Igbo man TRUSTED enough? Where was this your trust before leadership when the likes of IBB or OBJ ascended the thrown?

Why do you demand a Jesus christ in Igboman before he rules Nigeria and why the same yardstick never apply to Yar Adua and others and you seem not to have problem with it. You are asking for a DETRIBALISED Igbo FOR PRESIDENT? Then name one or two former detribalised former Nigerian leader!!!!!!
It seem for Igbos the proverb that "when it their turn to swallow the FUFU, the FUFU instantly develops some teeth" come to fulfilment.
Do you understand English at all?
I wonder if you did English comprehension in your secondary school level?
Well, I guess you just wanted to add your own comment too. And you just did! Congratulations.
Meanwhile, read my post again and don't twist the meaning anymore. I used the word TRUST to make a contextual statement.

Politics › Re: Eko Atlantic Is This For Real? by deb(m): 4:44pm On Mar 05, 2009
Granted Tinubu as one achievement, and that is fashola that apart he was a collosal disaster and noise maker. if you guys have the faintest idea of how much the bastard looted Lagos state you would not be talking like this. Just think how come Fashola is able to achieve so much in such a little time with the same resources( discounting inflation) tinubu had. The moroon just did a few roads and spent billions on advertizing his under achievement, yet some of you are gullible enough to give him credit. Compared to the resources he had at his disposal his achievements pale into insignificance
@KunleOshob

For the first time on Nairaland I will agree with you. Tinubu as governor was a good noise maker and he used his most precious gift, selling,
to sell himself to Lagosian. He did nothing tangible. Fashola's short term achievement far outweighs anything Tinubu has ever done on earth.
I refused to be brainwashed by Tinubu. He was a complete failure and a noise maker.
Politics › Re: Eko Atlantic Is This For Real? by deb(m): 4:35pm On Mar 05, 2009
First and foremost, UNILAG is a federal university.!!!!!!!!!!!
LASU (which is owned by lagos state has seen a facelift in recent yrs). Their teaching hospital has been heavily equipped.
Enough with all these unnecessary rants. If you're not sure of whats going on in Lagos, don't make any unnecessary statements.
Who told you that education and the other things are not being addressed.
Eko atlantic city is just the icing on the cake. Last time i checked, it's a freaking Private initiative so what the heck.
Roads are being built everyday in Lagos, solar streetlights are being fixed, u hardly see dirts littering the streets anymore.
Even cases of armed robbery have declined drastically. There was a time when you couldn't drive good cars in lagos due to robbers.
There is construction going on everywhere in lagos. This has led to a lot of people being employed. LAWMA employs people as well.
I think we really need to shut the f up and realize that steps are being taken to improve lagos. It's a gradual process.
I love you man! you just bared my mind

Eko Atlantic City will not happen. Fashola wants to do all these things in 4 or maybe 8 years

1. Eko Atalntic City
2. Lekki Free trade zone incorpoating an airport in Lekki
3. 10 LANE Motorway to Badary so that development would move from the Lekki corridor to the Badagry corridor.
4. 4th Mainland Bridge
5. 2 Light rail blue and red line
6. New Lekki City

The man should just do one and leave the rest, he has not got the time to do all these projects and I doubt if he has the money, which means all these projects might be a pipe dream.
At least the man has vision.
You should be supporting him not condemning him. Mind you, did you say all that you mentioned cannot be completed in 8years?
I think you are too used to the corrupt system of the ordinary Nigerian government that is why you cannot see the possibility.

We have more than enough to complete these projects we are just too dellusioned to believe anything tangible can come out of our country
because we are used to our government declaring N10billion budget for a N1million project.

Change your thinking and you life will change!
Politics › Re: Best President Nigeria Ever Had by deb(m): 4:13pm On Mar 05, 2009
This is a very laughable expression of ignorance and naivety. What does the similarity in acronym OFN imply
The acronym meant that the OFN project was never meant for Nigerians in the 1st place

Is on record that OBJ' shares in transcorp was less than 1% (200 million units) and it was financed by UBA.
Are you a Nigerian? I can't believe that you believe that? 'on record' my ass

Well as per thrid term i really wish the man got a third term by now he would have almost completed the power project which was in it's completion stage before that mumu(yar' adua ) came into power and suspended it.
You called the 1st ever president in Nigeria to publicly declare his asset a mumu?
I never voted Yaradua but that singular action of him has earned him my respect

You said you would have supported a third term? well, I guess I have realized the type of person I'm dealing with here now.
On that note I say no more  lipsrsealed
Politics › Re: Will You Vote Or Not For Ibb? by deb(m): 3:52pm On Mar 05, 2009
Some of you may think what I'm about to say is fallacy but I tell you that
A day is coming when the likes of Babangida, OBJ and the rest will be lined up
for either execution or life imprisonment. It will surely happen. Then their generations both existing
and yet to be born will suffer for alot of atrocities committed by their fathers.

Its your call as a Nigerian now to choose the path you want for yourself and your children's children.
You still have your chance now to mend broken heart. This message is not only for those in power
it is for every Nigerian living.

She contested because the constitution allowed it, not because she was allowed by yorubas.
Good!
Where else in Nigeria that the constitution allowed for such has it happened?
You want to consider the environment if its enabling or not before you even attempt to contest.
Politics › Re: Can Nigeria Afford an Igbo President? by deb(m): 2:27pm On Mar 05, 2009
well I have news for you my brother, a time is coming in Nigeria, when mediocrity, tribalism, nepostism, myopia, nonchallance, fraud, corruption will all be replaced by one word HARD WORK.
I've seen something similar to that before on this same thread earlier and it was misinterpreted as a hypocritical statement.
As much as I share your vision I should warn you that a few people on this thread can't see what you see because their minds
are not open to such things happening in Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Will You Vote Or Not For Ibb? by deb(m): 2:13pm On Mar 05, 2009
Its only in a country like Nigeria that a person like IBB will be walking the street a free man.
He should be in Jail rotting away.

When I hear some Nigerians say they want the man who anulled the freest and fairest elections ever conducted
in the history of our nation back as president then I begin to look at their heads maybe they have anything called brain inside at all.
IBB is the father of corruption.

Important Fact:

An Igbo woman call Ohime or so, can't remember her full name, contested for Lagos State Governorship in the last elections.
Though she did win the election but the act of allowing a not full blown Yoruba to contest election in a Yoruba land alone is proof that Westerners are more liberal and detribalized than any other tribe in Nigeria.
I don't know where else this has happened in Nigeria? correct me if I am wrong.
Please state your facts everytime you make a point thats what the thread says

Politics › Re: Are You Proud Of Nigeria? by deb(m): 4:21pm On Mar 04, 2009
Oh yeah I AM VERY PROUD OF NIGERIA?
The fact that we ourselves like to make noise about our problems as though we are the only ones who have problems
and the fact that the hypocritical international media also join in helping our local media magnify our problems so that they can sell,
I STILL REMAIN A PROUD NIGERIAN AND I AM PROUD OF NIGERIA.

There are so many positive things happening now in Nigeria but nobody is making noise about them. e.g. Removal of illegal governors with the actual election winners no local media or international media is magnifying it; The various transformation taking place in the Lagos City especially OSHODI! again no media is magnifying the story; More and more enterprenuers are emerging; The streets are getting cleaner; alot of Nigerians now prefer to buy
New Cars because they can afford to; Real Estates is booming; the middle class is fast returning to the economy; more foreigners are coming in to invest in the country damning their various government's warning especially about Niger Delta; we have the banking revolution and the rest.
Abeg, before I weigh you down with all the positives you all should know that here is one hell of a patriotic Nigerian screaming! ARISE O COMPATRIOT
Politics › Re: Fellow Nairalanders See What Some Uninformed People Think Of U by deb(m): 3:34pm On Mar 04, 2009
It never seems to amaze me how when we get slammed with truth from the mouth of others, we rush to pick sides. So those Nigerians who put down the SA's for saying what they really have come to believe of Nigerians from experience are the PATRIOTIC AND GOOD ONEShuh You dudes have to be kidding me!!!!

I am a full blooded Nigerian and even I see that in all, sure some generalized a bit but  it is not like they lied?? This is what they have come to learn from the few Nigerians they have met, I guess.  I am guessing many of you have not been to SA before. The place is definitely filled with Nigerian drug dealers and criminals. I am sorry to say it but I was down there myself and had to walk on my toes all the times. I was not afraid of some South African nabbing me but of another Nigerian actually assaulting me. Sure there are the good Nigerians but we live in a time where we have exposed our ills to the world and the world knows of it. I ask you all to take one visit to South Africa and see for yourself. For one good Nigerian, there are about 5 criminals who happen to be Nigerians. Even a friend of mine who moved from Nigeria to South Africa for a teaching position ended up moving back cause he lived not sure if he would see the next day and he was more afraid of the Nigerians there than he was people of any other ethnicity.

I remember I met this one taxi driver in Birmingham Alabama, an african american dude too. We were talking of things and I told him I was from Nigeria. This dude's face changed in a second and then he told me of how some nigerian dude had played him 419. Do you know how that felt?? I bet this man would remember me but not as much as he would the man who duped him of most all he had over some business deal and mind you, same sort of deal he has worked on for years with so many others ( not illegal), but his one bad case happened to be with a Nigerian.
I'm sick and tired of Nigerians talking about our problems and challenges as if we are the only ones who have problems.
Nigeria is not the only corrupt nation in the world. Nigeria is not the only country where crime takes place.
So many other countries do more than we do and they don't even make noise about it but we Nigerian are more like always celebrating anything
negative that come out of our country. We magnify and call the attention of the whole world to whatever "evil" had taken place in our country.

Its so amazing that just a few people cause the big problems in the midst of millions of other Nigerians and we have so now sold the entire Nigerian nation to the whole world as though we are the greatest evil genius the world has ever produced just because we cannot keep our mouth shut and deal with our problems
internally like other countries.
I remember that sometime back I read in the newspaper a story of some Ghanian fraudsters who lied  that they are Nigerians after they were caught in their regular cyber crime? Why wouldn't they call themselves Nigerians when they know that we are the only ones who proudly derive pleasure putting our nation down in the eyes of other

Until we stopped giving a larger than life imagery to our bad deeds over our good deeds, the hypocitical and the holier than thou world has just began to stereotype us.
