Nairaland General › Re: Police Arrest For 'indecent' Dressing by deb(m): 12:56pm On Aug 16, 2007
Its not a rumour it is true.

However, the Lagos state government had stepped in to control the situation.
Trust Nigerian Police they will go any length to rip the public off "egunje" money.

One other observation is that the new commissioner of police is from the north, I guess he
just brought his sharia mentality to Lagos. It won't work in Lagos because people
are civilized here.

Let Policed go after armed robbers and leave the issues of decency to Parents and guidance.
Romance › Re: Most Polite Way To Tell Her Off by deb(m): 12:09pm On Aug 16, 2007
I've been in your shoes times without number.

The more you are rude to her the more she will claim to love you.

Just ignore whatever advances she gives to you and make the habit of
talking about the girl you love to her. You don't need to mention any names
just make passing statements about your babe whenever she's around you.

She will leave you except what she wants is just sex from you.
Romance › Re: Taught Him Lessons Yet He Vowed Never To Let Go,help Me Out! by deb(m): 4:11pm On Aug 15, 2007
When a girl accepts several gifts from a guy she does not want, 1st I consider her greedy
2nd She should also be ready to accept the guy after encouraging him by collecting those gifts
in the first place.

She has to accept o! else she should return all the gifts. I know some girls will say; what are
friends for? Its total rubbish to encourage a guy by your actions and later turn around to say
you don't want him. Hell! angry cool

Christianity Etc › Re: Oh God, Tunde Bakare Again! by deb(m): 2:22pm On Aug 14, 2007
Did you read it in a newspaper?  Frankly, I'm surprised that the followers of Tunde Bakare are so gullible.
How can President Yar'adua, a devoted Muslim, be the Christian God's choice for leadership of this country?
We Nigerians usually miss the point here. The most important thing is that we have a God fearing
Person as the President of Nigeria. It doesn't matter if he's a christian or muslim as long as he is go fearing.

Tribe should not also be a factor. Integrity should be the watch word.

Every sunday in my own church we pray for President Yaradua,  Tell me whats wrong with that?

Music/Radio › Re: How To Start A Songwriting Career? by deb(m): 5:31pm On Aug 03, 2007
Starting a songwriting company is a good idea. Its got to start some how in this country.
A lot of junk artiste come out everyday with wack songs. Some good one
don't have good song but you can feel they have good voice quality.

Until we start doing things right in this country we won't move to the next level.

There is a need for songwriting industry on its own. Even the best of songwriters
in America still sing other people's song. Baby face had written several songs for Michael Jackson
who himself is a songwriter/vocalist
Travel › Re: Life In Nigeria. Enjoy The Pics by deb(m): 1:47pm On Jul 24, 2007
I don't know why Nigerians enjoy painting themselves
black in the face of the world.

When other countries try as much as possible to hide the negative
aspect of their lives, Nigerians on the other hand enjoy making a
mountain out of their own.

Recently a former Ambassador of US to Nigeria (A black man) was interviewed on CNN
and the CNN reporter was talking about how corrupt Nigeria's electoral process was.
The Ambassador had to remind her of how the US elections was rigged massively in chicago.
As this guys was giving devastating facts about how corrupt the US election was, his face was
yanked off the screen to prevent him from further exposing United States.

You see what I mean. CNN can happily talk bad of Nigeria but would not allow anyone to
talk bad about US to the world.

Let us learn to be patriotic a little. The truth is that there are far more beautiful places in Nigeria
than the picture this thread is trying to paint.

Pain -  may you get out of your grief! embarassed

58. When a guy asks you to leave him alone, he's just actually saying, "Please come and listen to me."
no.58 is the greatest lie of the century. Girls beware of that "fact" it is very wrong.
when a guy says leave me alone it means he probably wants to think
and does not want to be disturbed. Contrary response could anger him depending
on his temperament. Whichever way just leave him alone at that time. You can come
back say 5-10mins later.

I guess I will have to read the rest of the "facts" later cause I'm already bored.

Yara Dua declared his worth , they say it means nothing , if he didn't do it, they would say that's because he is some criminal , declare or not u are damned , today a Nigerian have taken a bold step in the right direction and all this ever pessimistic , and ever hopeless compatriots call him a clown and other names , when in this life would this kind of people ever see something good from their own country? they seat there and didn't do anything to stop the rigging next time and now someone have tried something and they are calling him names and rubbishing his effort ,i believe that self destruction is part of the problem of this country .If it were some professor from the us or uk that invented this,am sure they would all clap for him , God save Nigeria .
Thank you my brother.
At least you are another Nigerian that is thinking right.

@topic

Believe me its possible for you to still win the guy's heart
if you are willing to do the right thing.

You have already made a mistake by making the guy realize too
quickly that you loved him.

Now I want you to turn your mistake to an advantage. Start ignoring the guy.
Anytime you see him give him the I DON'T CARE ATTITUDE. Alot of that has to
do with how you feel about yourself. Therefore you should realize that you
are too valuable for any guy to take you for granted. Be cheerful at all the time
and let him notice.

Just be yourself as you ignore him. If he was initially turning you down because
you appeared cheap he might start having a rethink.

One important thing: Look Good I mean Best all the time. smiley

If after doing all that he still doesn't look your side just forget him. He simply does
not deserve you. You are just too valuable for him to handle.

Cheers girl! smiley
