I have this colleague who is also a close friend. He's being dating a white girl for about a year now and intends to get official with her. I've met the girl and hung out with the couple a few times and I must say the girl is quite sound and they look happy.

However, I visited naija for the Christmas holls and paid a visit to my friend's family. His mum called me aside and pleaded with me to help save her son "from the hands of the white girl" lol. I tried talking to her but she would have none of it, she looked depressed and really sad. I explained to her that there is nothing I can do but she keeps insisting that I can do something because her son holds me in high regard and would listen to me. Honestly, I am like a brother to her son but I know my boundaries and I respect individual choices. She's been calling me since I left Nigeria and sending me SOS messages. I don't know what to do and I don't intend to dabble into my friend's personal life. What do you guys think?

Years back I witnessed a door smash into a lady at a mall. Reason being the guy that just walked through the door didn't bother to check who was walking behind him. If he did, he would have noticed a lady rushing towards the exit while struggling to clinch onto her numerous shopping bag.

So the question is, do we still have gentlemen in our society? Men who are on time for a date, open doors for women/other men, pull out/give up sits for women to sit down, help women carry stuff and pay compliments.
