Gracesofar: How is the army like over there. Like there chain of command etc...... And hope no racial discrimination I mean blacks and whites etc. And how does the promotion goes. Am The Army over here is prestigious and well respected no bulls**t also we don't bully civilians . As for racial discrimination, well there's zero tolerance for it in the army and its rare cos I haven't experienced any. Promotion comes when you earn it within an interval of every two years at least, it could be longer. |

I was rili anticipating intelligence, ordinance or signal.
Probably God knows best It's not too bad tbh. Yea I had a degree in biomedical science before I joined but I'm currently retraining to become a nurse don't ask me why lol. Don't know much about ordinance but intelligence wins it for me anytime. |

Gracesofar: Which corp are u sir....... I just got posted to infantry passed out exactly a week ago in the prestigious academy. And whatz the rank
I was even anticipating intelligence or ordinance corp. I'm with the royal army medical corp as a lieutenant bro. Intelligence corp would be so cool, they might even send you to Sandhurst for some courses. |

Gracesofar: Wow nice one..... Buh y British army. Why not come serve and probably someday die for your father land. British and Nigeria won't always be in allegiance u know. Whatz the rank sir It wasn't planned bro but all the same we serve the same the same purpose. I was in borno last year with my Regiment for a training exercise with the Nigerian army. Was in Sierra Leone as well during the ebola outbreak to provide medical assistant. So I do my bit but on an international level. It's all about service to mankind |

Gracesofar: My posting came out Na infantry I dey. Am 80 percent sure Borno will soon call.
Its just an impasse situation I can't dodge for. And just like mayowa said. Death will soon come knocking. I just pray I won't open the door for it anytime soon ....
Pray for me o. Borno z around d corner My story is very similar to yours, infact so similar it put a smile on my face after reading yours cos I can relate. I serve in the military too (British Army), joined after I graduated from the university in the UK. I had a girlfriend while in Uni, who was a student at the time. Fast forward couple of years later, she relocated to Nigeria after her studies but I was still in the Army, based in UK. I decided it was time to make things formal after four years of being together. I flew down to Nigeria to meet her folks but her mom especially refused to meet me. I spent a week in Lagos waiting for the mom to change her mind and at least invite me for a chat but she refused cos I was from a different tribe (their tribe is Nupe), she said "she didn't want to encourage me" . In the end, I had to fly back to UK cos my leave was over and I was deploying in a few days. I felt bad about the whole thing and especially for my girlfriend but there's nothing I can do than to hope and pray they change their mind. Bigotry is really big in naija . I hope yours works out, keep the faith. |

You guys don't get it. He needs the taxpayer's money to fund his medical expenses. If he resigns, he won't be entitled to the presidential medical benefits. This is called corporate corruption. |

claremont: No, but you can join the British Army as a soldier (No qualifications needed), then transfer to an officer later in your career when you meet the residency and academic requirement. I think you would need a green card in order to join the US Army, except you speak Hausa/Yoruba/Igbo fluently and have lived in the US for at least 2 years prior to application. I'm not too conversant with the US Army recruitment requirements. This is a false statement. Only few (soldier) roles in the British Army require no qualifications, most require at least GCSE others A-levels and maybe a degree. |

KingCheezyPuff: I am African American and live in the USA and I'm telling you now. Op is picking individual Black men with complexity issues due to the traces of rasicm as an example of ALL black African men GLOBALLY. .......Read her posts on this thread.
And furthermore she has a obsession as I said before, with picking the absolute worst cases of self hate and flaming this is how Africans/Blacks are. .....Gross generations Good to know, I'll rest easy now. Maybe the OP needs a new life Back to serving the queen cheers. |

KingCheezyPuff: DO NOT I repeat DO NOT give credence to the op's claims
She has an obsession with finding the absolute worst cases of self hate and exemplfing them as THE WHOLE African/Black global population. LOOK at her threads. The woman runs around making the most racial and frost generations it's a pity. ❤❤❤That's all she spends her time here doing I KNOW. She has this thing with tagging me to watch
Now as for Black/African American men. Please don't generalize and stereotype my people. It only the individuals with a complex issue that does all Kola boof has said.
Cc fvckedyobitch ....stop To be fair, I don't know a lot about the OP so I can't tell. Secondly, pardon me if I seemed to but I wasn't generalising about African American men, I've got them as cousins. I only made the reference cos the OP seems to live in the US and hence drew her conclusions from her environment. You're right about a few having such complexities ( there's always that bunch anywhere) but it doesn't speak for black men all over the globe. |
Romance › Re: Reason Why Black Men Covet The White Man's Woman And Not His Economic Power. by DeBlunt: 6:56pm On Jul 20, 2016 |
Hmm...this is quite deep but I can assure you the world is bigger than just the US of A. Alot of the complexities in your post manifests in the US and I'm sure it doesn't apply everywhere else, most especially in the UK and France, atleast not as much as it does in the US (don't know why the black community there is so messed up).
I believe in the black woman, her pride, her strength and her strong desire to be independent (some). As a hard-working young black man, I believe its only an intelligent hardworking black woman that can support and propel me to the level of success I desire.
I am not disagreeing with everything you wrote, I have witnessed black men self hating and putting down black women which I find to be very stupid and disgusting. However, I urge you not to give up on the black man, we ain't all like that. I am pro- black women cos I believe the only way our race can become more relevant in the nearest future is through the black woman. Peace! |
