Dera12345:Just to mention really, I ain't a guru and I do not want to be so called. So, straight to your inquiry... If you ask me, your reason for denial is not because of your finances. As I read through, what struck me was your choice of a post secondary school diploma when you clearly stated that you have completed a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. The reasonableness of your degree is the problem (i.e. the purpose of visit). As a 2.1 graduate, what you have chosen to do in Canada is not reasonable (in the language of V.Os). As such, the officer feels you are not a genuine student. A proper career progression will either be a PGD or Master's. In fact, a Master's. I'm afraid you may be denied again regardless of how many times you apply except you look into this issue. My advice is for you to look for a Master's degree in your field and request for a refund from Centennial. You will only be charged $200 Cad. I'm sorry for the turn of events. Please don't give up. Nothing should discourage you because you have all it takes. Shalom! |
In all sincerity, I think it's not all of us that can get things done by ourselves. Some would, definitely, need agents no matter the amount of info shared here. I won't subscribe to an agent myself but I have come to realise that everyone is not me. For that, I'll say if you have enough money to pay, just do your diligence by reading reviews of available agents online. And trust me, not all agents are careless. Some of them are actually professionals at what they claim to do. charlyduru: |
Morning @all. Please, let me just drop this for those of us going the paper route. The era of "just get there early and walk in" seems to be over. I did the same and discovered it's no longer working. Here is the latest. Go online and book an appointment. Again, here is the link https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-Appointment/ Print your appointment page and that with your passport will grant you entrance. In fact, let's say you managed to enter by whatever means, the first thing our friends on the counter would ask for is your appointment slip. I'm sending in this so we can learn from each other's experience and get things done easier and quickly. Shalom. |
Please use this link https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-Appointment/ You would have to first set up your email and details (sign up) as you have them on your passport after which you can now book the appointment. Yes, biometric would be done the same day. Cost as at when I submitted N55,520 (total in all). dimitriy: |
MISFITrep:Yes, don't be like me that had to spend two days in Lagos because I didn't book an appointment. As it is currently, no appointment, no entrance. So, book an appointment at VFS website or navigate your way through with the help of Mr. Google. Booking an appointment is free (Just to mention) but if by mistake you refuse to do so before leaving your home, you can spend up to 5k trying to get that done. Thanks to our beloved hustlers. |
Dear brother (hopefully, I'm correct), worry not yourself on your freelancing job. It is never an illegal business anywhere in the world. That you are having Canadian clients won't affect your chances of approval. Include it and back it up with relevant and available shreds of evidence. Just to allay your fears. I'm a freelance writer too with clients in the US and Australia. Since what I'm doing isn't criminal or unlawful, why shouldn't I let the visa officer know? Won't that explain my study gap for the past two years? Except you have real reasons to fear, please go ahead and include it as part of your work experience. If earning from an application on iOS or a particular platform is illegal, I believe that as a Mobile app developer, you would have known. As such, if this is the case, refrain from towing that line (and probably stop it altogether). By the way, the important aspects of your application are 1. Proof of enough finances 2. Proof that you would leave Canada after your studies 3. Purpose of visit. Every other thing apart from these 3s are _jara_ Start working on these things and stop worrying on your freelancing job. Shalom! justthinking: |
My sincere apologies for responding late. There is no section in the form where you are asked the grade or class you graduated with but in your SOP, you would have to touch on the reason you are settling for a PGD instead of master's. What I am saying is that you should resist the temptation of saying you would have gone for master's if not for your 2.2. That can create some concerns in the VOs mind. ("Can" emphasised). Simply tow the less complicated line of arguing that PGD training offered in Colleges are more project-focused and detailed in practical... (You get what I mean now?). Getting a master's with a 2.2 is not completely impossible but you would have gotten 5 PGD offers before getting one. Shalom! edmasta01: |
You do not need IELTS or TOEFL for any of the three colleges you requested info for. For Cambrian, Seneca, and Centennial, please prepare the following on ground: 1. Application fee ($200 for Centennial; free for Cambrian, $95 for Seneca) 2. Passport Data page. 3. Degree Certificate. 4. Transcript. 5. Curriculum Vitae 6. Affidavit if there is (or are) any discrepancy on your degree cert. Say DOB or order in which your name was printed. 7. WAEC certificate plus scratch card (applicable only to Cambrian). 8. Ability to read and fill simple form online. Shikena! sashaa: |
Well, whether undergrad, PG, or Masters; in fact, PHD, applicants would always have to prove reasonably that they would leave Canada after their authorized stay. So, it's not a question for PGD applicants alone. To me personally, if you can't prove or argue that you would leave Canada after completing PGD, you hardly can prove same for masters. Just get your acts together and work on any of the following as possible ways of convincing the VO. 1. Family ties (parents, spouse, siblings) 2. Job or work (if applicable) 3. Career prospect at home if 2 above isn't applicable. As in, you have to justify the huge sum you are about to expend on a PGD. Is there a booming job here in your field that you think can offset the cost? 4. Relationship (are you engaged if not married?) 5. Have you traveled and returned before? That's a good point too. 6. You've got a landed property? Get it surveyed in your name. 7. Prayer. I'm sorry I put this last; it should actually be the first. You can include all these things and the VOs would still say they aren't satisfied. And guess what? With God, you can satisfy a vo with *just* one of it. Please take point 7 very seriously and give all your very best in gathering the appropriate documents. Once this is done, swing to action and God's grace would fill up the rest. *Before I close; never use your 2.2 as an argument for settling for PGD.* Shalom! edmasta01: |
Absolutely. You should consider deferring your admission to winter (January) so you can give yourself enough time to refire. It is well. amihbkt767676: |
Please house, help a soul. Am I to photocopy all my documents twice before submission? As in, two copies of each of my credentials? |
Lagos2canna:*Approval without Admission letter*? Lol. But, on a second note, it isn't beyond possibility. So long as a process is handled by human beings, errors can slip in one way or the other. But the percentage error in this regard is definitely going to be less than 1%. |
Please, can someone who has applied via the paper route put me through some few issues I have? 1. How to go about the booking of appointment 2. Can I go and return the same day (location: ife) 3. What are the forms I am expected to fill at home before getting there or will everything be done there? Please never mind the seemingly funny inquiries. I couldn't find a link to the paper route application on the zero page and need to be cleared on this. Will be expecting your kind response. |
This one that VOs are saying that they are not satisfied every time nko? ![]() |
The team with the greatest teamwork would win this cup and not necessarily the team with the highest number of star players. After all, it's going to be 11 vs 11. The Super Eagles can spring surprises and end up topping the group. Typically, it takes a team of average players with a radical commitment to succeed to win competitions like this. The only question I cannot answer for the Eagles is if they are hungry for success. The manner in which they started against England does not suggest a team ready for business. I hope someone talks with and to them sha ![]() |
Aybalance:Radiation only. Reason: It is suspended in air and hen, no contact. |
AYFikayomi:The answer is at conception. Please disregard fertilization. Won't say more than that |
legalwealth:Thanks for this insightful response. The account was opened in my real names. I don't have any amount on my payoneer. Can I verify it with no amount? If not, can I buy payoneer fund from you? Will contact you for the exchange as soon as the verification is done. |
I have a US PayPal opened for me by a friend there and I have been receiving funds on it. I haven't verified it yet. Want to ask if that can be done with my payoneer MasterCard details. I understand that wasn't possible for some times now but is PayPal now accepting payoneer for verification? All said and done, how does the virtual amount on my PayPal becomes real in my pocket in Nigeria Naira? |
Can someone with C in all five relevant subjects be considered for medicine? Any testimony of such? Again, kindly give a rough estimate of how much would be spent in total for the admission processing were you to be consulted. |

duni04:It is sometimes good that if one has nothing good to say, one should just keep mute. We all know the country we live in. A place where innocents suffer the guilty laughs. The massive support for Mr. Elujoba by the entire academic community should have spurred any right-thinking individual to re-visit the charges against him. He did the right thing which revealed the heartless deeds of the successive Vcs and that's is his crime. Believe me sincerely, even if he's kept in prison, he remains in the good book and record of we the ever conscious OAU students. Amandla awetu, nothing shall discourage us. |
Netfilix:You can connect with me at dedecoder@yahoo.com for us to get started or simply drop your email here. |
Read through from the first page and found many of the issues raised and addressed useful. May the good Lord bless you richly for this selflessness. Pls Op, I wish to ask: I'll be rounding off my M.Sc. In 3 months' time and would like to pursue my Ph.D in the US or Canada. I just need your candid answer on (1) When to take the GRE (2) When to begin applying (3) If my undergraduate and Msc transcripts will have to be evaluated too. N.B Speciality, Parasitology. I'll be sending you a mail straightaway to request for the materials as per the GRE. God bless u for your kind heart. |
luvbro22:It all depends on how "desperately" or lemme say, sincerely, that your friend (if not you yourself) wants the course. 78.25 isn't a child's play. It means nothing less than 280 in utme and about 3As. Let me be factual with you, that will be where majority of MBBS aspirants' score would lie. The delicacy here is no one can say what the decimal after 78 would be. It can be .3 or .9 or anything. Let the person involved activate his/her prayer mood and cling to his/her faith. When the weakest sinner prays, even the the kingdom of Satan shakes. He/she should trust his/her fate into God's hands and not change his/her course. But like I said earlier, if the individual is not desperate enough, Dentistry, a sister course to medicine, can be a safer habour. I'll hope you'll found this useful |
luvbro22:The acclaimed mass success in this year's utme may just be a mirage after all. Sure some guys made very high scores (300 and above) but remember that there is a moderator in the name of SSCE. Definitely the mark can shoot up by a few points, but it cannot be that much. I see guys with 250 making the list while some with 300 falling off because of this thing called O'level. So, my prediction for MBBS UI for next session is between the range 78-80. If you already surpass that, just start looking for money. Cheers! |
ranson:I hope you aint offended. I write a lot and I understand just how tedious meeting those requirements may be. I'm sure that's why you aint writing such anymore. Those who are interested should not in anyway discouraged. I too can try when I'm less busy (lol). But to be candid, a better offer would have attracted the kind of writers the poster desires. My opinion though... |
You are not alone in the ordeal bro. Some centers had issues and JAMB has decided to "ask" the candidates and not the center. Most centers in Warri and Kemade in Ife (Osun) are having the same challenge. Hope the issue is resolved quickly and the innocent ones spared. Keep hoping and waiting for the best. |
No, it has not been cancelled. Keep hoping, chEcking and praying. ezzyboy20: |
You mean you did yours at the said centre? And by the way, how was your scores? pappyj01: |
If you notice carefully, OAU peeps are beginning to migrate to UI and they haven't left their striking spirit behind. EngrBello: |
