Sent them a CSE yesterday and early this morning i got the mail. See, there was a moniker here that said it's luck and there's no God after getting his PPR. I don't know where he is now but I want him to know it's not luck. There's an Almighty God, a living God. He answers prayers. Thank you so much Frankrobben, God go do your own. And to all TRV hopefuls, God will answer everyone. There's something I used to do since I got my scholarship, any aeroplane I see, i always decree and declare that I will be in such a plane a month to my resumption . That was my method of faith for over a year now. Glory to God Almighty once more.

By wanting to part ways with your female admirers without hurting them, you are surely embarking on a mission impossible. It's like saying that you want to make an incision on someone's face without them experiencing some pains, it's next to impossible.

My only recommendation is this: if truly you are sincere you don't want to fall into this trap, take the matter to God in prayer. Ask Him for the strength to take that courageous step of saying "No". With God involved in this matter, your 'No" will sink to their brains and even though they will feel pained, the thought of abandoning their friendship with you may never even cross their minds.

So, involve God in the whole process. He makes seemingly difficult equations pretty easy.

Currently, there seems to be a general delay in receiving updates from CIC especially concerning TRV applications from us Nigerians. This is my personal observation though.

Ordinarily, it shouldn't take up to 8 days to receive biometric call-up. But then, since you were able to submit online successfully, you should rest assured that soonest, the update will drop. They've got no option than to request for your biometrics.

Other than waiting and hoping, I don't think there is anything you should do in this wise. Those guys will wake up soon...

I submitted TRV online application last week March 7, but am yet to receive Biometric mail up till now. I got two mails from CIC that acknowledged the receipt of my application.

I hope my non receipt of biometric letter 8 days after submission is in order?

Just wondering how you got to know they are on background check. In most cases when it seems nothing is happening on your online portal, a lot could have been done to your file of which you may not be aware.

I don't think the account is updated in real-time. That is why eligibility for some applicants can start today and final decision be rendered tomorrow or a few hours after that.

In any case, I think a break or something is currently going on @CIC. Or perhaps, they are just taking things in their strides. Keep hope alive. There may even be an update today or next week. It's well.

Let's keep hope alive. Everything can get sorted out before the week runs out. I applied December 12 and it's getting to a month now too after medicals with no update.

The secret to being calm in this situation is to trust God and get busy doing something productive. It is ending in praise already by His grace.

Good morning, Please I did my medicals on the 20th of Feb and till now no update from IOM on whether it has been sent or not. plus no update on my portal signifying that i have done the medicals. From the posts i have read so far it does not take this long. How do you advice i proceed. or is this normal?

Certainly, something is wrong somewhere if what you described above is the case. The timeframe between medicals and results forwarding to IRCC is 3 days if done at IOM.

Where this does not hold, it means there is an issue with your tests. Normally, if the contact you submitted to them is reachable, they should have called you to let you know what the issue is and the way forward.

I suggest you call or message IOM as soon as possible for clarifications. Shalom!

I think you are confusing the words of "the company handling my app" with the words of Immigration and Citizenship Canada. Ordinarily, photos are not expected in your documents. To my knowledge, this rule hasn't been annulled. Folks go this route (i.e. adding photos) in their desperate bid to satisfy or convince the Immigration officer of the connection that have asserted the have with someone.

On a bad day, this can work against you. On the aspect of funds, except you have full funding for your studies, any amount below 10 million is not likely going to scale through. Serious and professionals agents know this and that may be why they (not the embassy) returned the application. Canadian Embassies (Visa Section) don't return applications; they rather refuse or approve.

Correct. You see, those guys in Nairobi have some biased reasons for refusals and most times, these reasons cannot be effectively backed up with established bases for rejection.

So, in most cases, they just look for a reason and tick. Abi, what's their explanation on refusal on purpose of visit in that GCMS now? The PA might as well not need to have applied for the note if he knew such vague info would be what he would get.

My advice is: use another route and rework your SOP. Pray that this time, it falls into the right hands. There is also a right time to apply too. Just pray your application gets submitted at such time.

The decision of the visa officer based to refuse my visa application based on the the PURPOSE OF VISIT is purely an arbitrariness which the Canadian law does not allow. Please see "Demyati v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2018 FC 701 paragraph 21 when the court ruled as follows: " "Without a doubt, visa officers need to be satisfied that the applicant will return to her/his country of origin before the expiration of the visa. That requirement permeates IRPA and its Regulations. However, conversely, our law does not allow for decisions to be made on an arbitrary basis. That is why even a standard such as that of reasonableness requires justification, transparency and intelligibility such that the reviewing court can ascertain if the decision reached falls within a range of possible, acceptable outcomes. In my view, this case lacks the kind of justification required by our law. The visa officer did not give his/her facts and evidence to support his/her position to doubt my purpose of the visit after I have clearly shown my purpose in my application and the letter addressed to him/her as an SOP.
Also, I made a clear declaration in my application that the only purpose of going to Canada is to study and nothing more. I am surprised that the VO overlooked this declaration in total disregard to the court position in
Cao v Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), 2010 FC 941 at para 13 [Cao], “[t]he decision to submit the applicant’s declaration is not a banal gesture. The declaration is a clear statement that the applicant understands the consequences of overstaying his welcome in Canada, and for this reason, it will not happen.

As a law-abiding citizen of Nigeria and a born-again Christian/Muslim, I understand the consequence of not complying with the condition of my admission into Canada and it will not happen. I declare once again that I am a bonafide student who will definitely leave Canada after my authorized stay in Canada.

(Please include a court affidavit that you will comply with your admission into Canada and that you will return at the end of your authorised stay in Canada.

Just to lend my voice too to the Paper route/Kenya issh. Truth be told, those guys must have some agendas they are pursuing. I got a refusal lately based on "Purpose of visit - the least of the reasons to give.
