But why are people trying to change the narrative? There are books and research work establishing a systemic plan to eradicate Christianity in some sections (if not all) of this country. |
I don't understand why someone will go to another man's land and refuse to naturalize. Come home and showcase your culture. |
I think most people here are mixing up service with headship. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit prophesied in Joel 2:28 is for both males and females (married & unmarried). As such, a woman can preach in and out of the church, win souls, and even contribute in other ways as empowered by God. However, when it comes to leadership, biblically, men should lead. The case of Deborah often cited as leading was an aberration; it was a permissive will NOT the perfect will of God. Had Israel walked in the ways of Jehovah, the circumstances that led to the emergence of Deborah wouldn't have ensued. Women are valuable to God, and they shouldn't feel inferior. It's just that in the plan of God, their roles are supportive NOT being the arrowhead or 'main strikers.' |
Even after being captured, you should thank your stars if you have your details modified within a month. How and why we are like this, only God knows! |
Great news |
Thanks, sir for voicing out |
This is crazy! That's 11.8 marks. One can only hope there wasn't any error in the computational process. But then, I think what is most important is that you're admitted after all is said and done. I pray this doesn't significantly affect your chances. Greatidj: |
Have you done anything about these allegations up till now? Something tells me that the person who paid on your behalf used a credit card, and possibly howbeit inadvertently, initiated a chargeback. It could even be that their credit record isn't OK. Please, get them to explain what transpired to you. Even from my end, I do not think you could have played such a prank. But then, you can only pray and hope that your VO will find your explanations satisfactory. I say this for three reasons: The default setting of most VOs is to believe the worst about applicants - that you an economic immigrant, with tendencies to lie and misrepresent. The onus is on you to prove otherwise 2. From filling of forms to payments and other correspondences, you are responsible for whatever information that got to their desk on your behalf. 3. This is not a standalone suspicion. It came alongside another suspicion that you answered falsely to a question. My Take on the Allegation of Answering Falsely Truth be told, before a VO prepares a PFL, he/she would have reviewed the matter twice or more. You most likely clicked NO (notice I said most likely, not definitely). It could be by mistake. After all, who hasn't thought they picked something from somewhere before only to discover that they didn't? Be honest in your response and write in a clear, convincing way to state your points. These people are humans, not alien to errors. The way you write and argue your point can dismiss or affirm their suspicion. I sincerely wish you the best. demure178: |
The most outspoken politicians (or people) often don't have time for concrete plans. It seems the more people talk, the less ability to think they have. Much of the time Trump ought to commit into strategising has been spent on Twitter and FB. How can an incumbent be crying foul that they are stealing votes under his watch? This itself shows leadership devoid of foresight. Didn't he envisage this? What plans did they put in place? |
It's better to keep quiet if you dont have anything meaningful to say. Did you step out of your house at all? festacman: |

We're in the same shoe. Resumption for me too is May 6th. My flight is supposed to be today yet passport not ready. No correspondence letter either. I've called, texted, sent CSE, and the likes as suggested here but no response. I even went to VFS Lagos yesterday to be sure my passport was transmitted in the first place! Friday this week would make it 4 weeks that I have submitted the passport and going by previous data, I thought it should have been ready even before now. My advice is this: Let's keep hope alive. Something great can pop up after today's system maintenance. But by the way, when did you submit your passport? And when tracking it on VFS, what response did you get? mulikky: |
Thanks for this insight. I'm doing as you have suggested straightaway. Although I've sent CSE and mails 6 days ago with no response. Hopefully, this works now. Thanks again... Austacus: |
I'm sorry I'm just getting to respond to this. Mine is (or was) a reapplication. Classes begin May 6. But strangely, my passport which I submitted 3 weeks ago hasn't been dispatched or returned yet. Anyone with an idea of what might be done to speed up the process? My flight is booked for April 30th. Wishing every TRV hopeful good news soon. sillysassysally: |
olamidemessi:Trust God bro and go ahead to submit the new docs. Use the web form to do so. It is not outside of possibility that they would request a substantive SOA if it becomes a must. Keep all hopes alive and do all that is within your reach to do. At the first look on your app, if the investment is a complete No-No, you should have received a rejection straightaway. On CIC website, certain nationals are requested to ONLY state their available balance. Our issue is just because of trust and no one can say yours will not scale through. |
Hi! I didn't do WES for my transcript; I used it like that. However, the college specifically requested for a "Clear, Colored official" copy and not student's copy. Similarly, I was advised to get an affidavit for any discrepancy on my docs as that itself can deny me an admission. That's all. I hope this answers your question. Phatkings: |
Thanks man. I should have responded. Please, check. Will be waiting for your response Kenola01: |
Aptly said. Thanks @Makano. I pray your expectation regarding the TRV will turn into manifestation soon. Everything that might be responsible for the delay is hereby removed. In this month we're about to enter into, you will hear a positive update. I don't know how it will happen but i'm believing God on your behalf. Like you'll always say, I repeat it to you PEACE. Amen! makano: |
Thanks brother, you are such a nice soul. Believe and expect something great soon! Frankrobbn1: |
For those concerned about the age discrepancies on their documents, perhaps my experience can help. The date of birth on my transcript is not the same as that on my WAEC certificate and certainly different from the one on my Passport. Either the month, day, or year differed in all the three! So, what would I do? The correct date of birth is on my passport anyway. I proceeded to the high court with my transcript and WAEC certificate to secure an affidavit stating that the date of birth on these documents were erroneously printed. As such, I declared my correct date of birth as carried on my passport. That's all! But note that this singular feat is very important because I won't get an admission in the first place let alone TRV if I had left it unaddressed. The school frowns at age disparity in documents and I think the embassy too will. I believe that if the error is on your passport, you would need an affidavit and cert of birth to get it corrected at the Immigration office. This may be tedious and a bit expensive but not impossible. Once it's done, you are good to go. |
Yes. In my first app, I only submitted SOP. But i think I didn't hammer on certain points very well that's why the confusion set in. LOE is only necessary if and when you are reapplying to respond to the concerns raised. Save for a reapplication, everything you want to explain can be done in a single piece. sillysassysally: |
Oh, really? I'm still trying to find a way around the PM thing. I should be able to do that soon and get back. Thanks for your wishes Okattamgbee: |
Big congrats! DMerciful: |
Thanks! Well, It's God. I submitted almost the same set of documents as first with JUST the addition of a Letter of Explanation. 7-page SOP; 5-Page LOE, all making 12 pages. I'm intentionally giving the number of pages I wrote to make a point which is: the number of pages is not the first thing to think about while writing visa SOP/LOE but whether you have successfully explained all grey areas or not and whether what you are writing makes sense or not. But then, you don't have to follow my example in your write-up. As an author, I just felt embarrassed to be told "I am not satisfied that you will... Based on the purpose of your visit." So, I spent about two weeks crafting the response. hardeholar1: |
Approval Alert!!! And that is how I finally get to share my own testimony. It's been the Lord's doing and no doubt, marvelously marvelous in my sight ![]() Timeline Applied December 12 2018 after being refused October 1 last year. Medical Request: February 7 Medicals Done: February 20 Biometric Validity: March 22 Passport Request: Just Now School: Centennial College, Toronto Course: Biotechnology Reason for first Refusal: Purpose of visit So, who says college applicants don't get approval? Of course, I have always known that the notion is far from the truth. The difficulty or ease lies on "times and chances" just like with any other application. Should any college applicant have a query or clarification, I shall be more than willing to supply answer. |
