PoliticsRe: Fuel Import Ban Fears Re-ignite Dangote, Marketers’ Row by dederocs(m): 9:22am On May 14, 2025
Biodun556:
Fuel import ban would cause hardship

Dangote will increase to 1500 and above per liter
Gibberish...this is insinuation from your biased little mind. NNPCL will sell crude for Dangote in naira, fuel will be cheaper, because Dangote will be producing at capacity.

You are either a detractor, one of the beneficiaries of the fuel importation, that is sabotaging our economy, or very ignorant of economics.

Poor naira value is one of our biggest economic challenge now, we need the naira to boost its value to attract investors and to maximise the value of our resources and assets in the international market.

PoliticsRe: Fuel Import Ban Fears Re-ignite Dangote, Marketers’ Row by dederocs(m):
Ban fuel importation, this will help the naira get more value over dollars...do you know how much dollars we use to import fuel everyday?

We need to buy dollars to pay for this imported fuel, this constant demand for dollars pushes it's price up, if we stop this payment, we will save a lot of national wealth.

The benefit to nation is more important than benefit to some importers and middle men. I expect President Tinubu to do the right thing, we know he can take hard and necessary decisions, that is why we preferred him over the rest.

Well-said. 100% correct.
We all should push our senators and house of representatives members representing us in the house of assembly and senate to pass the bill for true federal structure, for the sake of equity and peace.
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu Time For True Federalism And State Police Is Now by dederocs(op): 7:40am On May 14, 2025
From history it clearly shows we are different ideologically, especially between North and South.

We must implement full federalism, this is what the founding fathers envision, it is the only way to progress, peace and prosperity...we can't allow some to draw others back...those who want to go backwards should be allowed to without carrying others backwards with them.

True federalism will give state full powers over their jurisdiction and sovereignty as well as their resources.
PoliticsPresident Tinubu Time For True Federalism And State Police Is Now by dederocs(op):
In light of the killings and inability of state to protect themselves, allowing state to have adequate resources and funding their state police is key. By these we must allow resources control by states, and then states will pay taxes and royalties to federal government.

This is the way to bring out the best in every state, they will be healthy competition and states will become business associates of each other... governors now are just lazy men waiting for allocations, but when allocations from federal government stops, and every state develop its resources to earn, it will awaken the giant in all of us, their GDP will improve, as well as skill and human development, as they say necessity is the mother of invention.

President Tinubu s a progressive I expect you to push for state police and true federalism bill, where states have full resources control...this is what the brightest minds from Nigeria, like Pa Edwin Clark has been fighting for...let's not forget we come from different tribes, every state should be allowed to progress at it's own pace, without no one dragging the other back, we should not be joined in the hip, state that wants to progress will progress, the ones that wants to regress due to their archaic and lazy ways should be allowed to do so. We are not one in the real sense, let everyone do their thing.

Keyin:
So the likes of Tinubu and Buhari are the best men?

Your submission is analytically deprived!

Rotatational presidency has its limitations but based on ethnographic constitution of Nigerian state population and lack of integrity in the affairs of electoral umpire, rotational presidency would dilute the influence of Nigeria belong to us primordial sentiments in Nigeria Leadership equation.

I am not worried much over the issues in Nigeria polity since core Northern region who oppose this still remain underdeveloped region in Nigeria history.

What have they achieved since their serial rulership in Nigeria.

The fair better under GEJ than Buhari!

Even the elites that benefit from such opportunity is only while they are in power.

After leaving office for one year they become impoverished!
Don't be clownish, I never said they are the best men, but voting is better than selecting...let the best man get the job not by zone or tribe.

Rotational presidency is tantamount to mediocrity. Meritocracy is the way to progress, the best man winning, not based on rotation.

We have air force and kidnappers, terrorists and bandits are sleeping and resting in our forests, creating alternative societies there. Air force is a weak link in Nigeria.

Nigerian youths stop hyping and praising what doesn't benefit you. Public officers are to serve you, use public resources accountably, they are not to be worshipped and ass licked, especially when being selfish and fighting for their own political interests and glory. Think of what benefits you,.what benefits the nation.

Good development, but accountability is important, people should be held accountable, once contract are approved and payment made, value should be given to the people, the minister is responsible to ensure contract are executed and results achieved, the nation have been shortchanged for too long, too much leakages and waste, it must end. The EFCC should go after those responsible for payments for the NNPCL refineries repairs...this is economic sabotage, billions of dollars...

You are right!
City life is good but one should be able to afford it comfortably without much struggles. All of us will not live in the city and all of us will not live in the village or suburbs...
I said some...am a strong advocate for people staying in the states they are from, so we maximise our agricultural potential, create more wealth, of course you can always visit the city to enjoy its perks. Visibly there are a lot of people in Lagos, who are not productive, it's all about productivity...if you can be productive in your state of birth by all means it makes more sense to stay there or go elsewhere where you will be more productive.
PoliticsRe: Strategic Succession: Yahaya Bello's Political Move In Kogi State by dederocs(m): 1:57pm On May 11, 2025

The whole Nigeria have been politicized.
The average Nigerians see everything as Politics.
Politics have entered the church, Mosque, schools, market places and even the family.
What a shame.
Those who introduced us to politics were not consumed by Politics the way Politics have consumed Nigerians
It is not a Nigerian problem, a principal did this, this is the first of it's kind in Nigeria. Call out the offender not Nigeria, that is how people are named and shamed so they turn for the better.

Mrshape:
That is a normal political process in Nigeria they are teaching the children, they buy forms for position they are seeking for, do campaign and provide manifesto and lastly election is done, schools have been doing it, go and read the recommended novel for JAMB 2025 the lekki Headmaster Standon school sold form for those going for head boy for #50,000 their deputy 40,000 and other positions like social prefect 35,000. It will shock you that one of those government officials closing down those schools have paid money to their children school to get a form for a position their child is contesting for, or there children school might be involved in the process, I see nothing wrong it it's far the amount is not to big that every child I. The school can comfortably afford, and there is no prior rule against that in the state before now
Gibberish, purge your mentality.

Wealth, prosperity and God's blessings are spread all over, not only in Lagos.

Lagos isn't for the weak... I moved my family out of Lagos after my two-year rent expired in Akoka. We moved to Abeokuta, and rented a three-bedroom flat for #240,000 naira per year for 5 years. Compound was large, gated, enough parking space, each flat with its own water storage tank with central borehole. I paid #650k per year in Lagos without these amenities like in Abeokuta.

After 5 years I moved into my own 6-bedroom apartment in a GRA in Abeokuta. My wife got a government job, and she easily does her side-gig which earns her extra. Of course, I had other enablers that I wouldn't have in Lagos cos I'm from Abeokuta. Children's school fees are not crazy like you have in Lagos. No traffic! No agbero wahala... Environment is clean and spacious...

I still work in Lagos anyway but I come home every weekend. I am lucky to find a place to stay for free in Lagos. For me, Lagos is the worksite while Abeokuta is home where I retire to by the weekend to rest, relax, breathe fresh air and eat fresh food...
I have a big compound to plant stuffs and feed my family. My children are growing in the right way, and not the insanity and insecurity that pervades Lagos...

Lagos is artificial....

I hope someone will learn from my experience, and adapt it to what suits him or her.

There is prosperity all over o. Find out what works for you and start now... No die for Lagos... There are abokis up north who are illiterate and will never have anything to do with Lagos. Yet they are super-millionaires... They do and grow their businesses up there in the north...

Even abroad, it's the same story with those who want to die in London instead of moving to other cities where they can live their lives in peace and balance
Life is not all about making the money, some like the city life, it's a premium experience.

Honestly, I see people that lives in Lagos (except few places) as people with mental health crisis. How can you survive and be comfortable in that psychotic place.

I came from PH to that place, I could not stay for 1 week because I couldn't understand how people will survive in a place that mess with your mind. Everything should not be loud and chaotic abeg.

Just visit other state to understand how civilize people stay. But, the honest truth, people that comes from Lagos find it difficult to adapt in a calm environment because they are addicted to chaos, just like one addicted to cocaine they cannot stay without the thrill. Tell me whether that is normal.
It is the people who have no business being there that makes it chaotic, everyone should not be in Lagos. People should stay in their state of birth and grow there. Farming is a way to create wealth.

The only thing holding people back is electricity. If people can watch in their 32" tv, what you are watching in your 55" tv, drink chill water from their small fridge when they need it just like you do from your double door big fridge in the city, of which some people in the cities don't even have and their kids can go to school where sound mind and morality embraced teachers/mistresses are, Oga many people will move to the villa asap. Peace of mind is a priceless treasure.
Let them work with their state governor and develop their states. A lot of people are better off farming in the states they were born rather than coming to Lagos to go through stress.

Lagos wants people to leave, people from other states are congesting this blessed city. Stay in your state and develop there.
