Which route is best

You can cut the Eastern states entirely if you follow through East West Road. From Asaba - Kwale - Ughelli - Bayelsa - Port-Harcourt. This trip should be around 4.5 hours if everything go as planned.

God has finally done it for me grin. 3 years worth of work came to fruition and I was able to japa to Chile tongue tongue tongue. Sharing some pics from my trip and my everyday life on this thread. This is for those who think that south america is hell. Theres a lot of amazing countries in the world. You need to research and figure out what works for you. My flight was from Lagos to doha to Brazil and then finally to Chile. I didn't really start taking any pics until I got into Chile. I am sure you can find thousands of pictures about Brazil, Qatar or Lagos online but hardly anyone has posted anything about Chile.

The first pic is me In the plane crossing the Andes mountains. The light in the distance is the city of santiago.

Second is the airport in concepcion.

Third is my Uber ride from the airport to my Airbnb

Greetings house,

I intend getting a TEC (Haier thermocool) generator online, konga precisely since thermocool's showroom is quite a distance from my present location. Konga offers me a home delivery and price is less than what the physical showroom has to offer. Is a a wise thing to do?

Kindly advise..

Kindly permit me to deviate a bit from pregnancies as I need to celebrate this here.

Today makes it a year since I welcomed my Prince and Joy giver to the world (quoted Birth Story was shared here on this thread this day last year). Indeed God has been faithful towards us as the past 365days has been fun filled with this my young man.

Shout out to angeltolly, the then May 2020 cappo and to other mamas. Those expecting I say safe delivery to you all.

Dedewizzy:
Greetings to all mamas and dads in the house. I've been a silent follower of this thread for a few weeks now and it wouldn't be fair if I don't share this here.

So sometime last year my wife missed her period, from our local calculations from her lmp EDD fell on the 24th of May but first scan we did by her 21st week gave the EDD for 9th of May. Yours truly wasn't really bothered since from every indication it wouldn't exceed the month of May.

It was quite a smooth ride all through. Fast forward to 7th of May around 2am she began purging after that stomach started aching which got severe as time went on. I checked the date and discovered its just 2days to EDD and this should be labour, I called wife's sister who confirmed the signs was for labour that we should dash for the hospital. Around 6am we set off for the hospital. A nurse checked her and said it isn't yet time but she should still wait for the doctor. Meanwhile the pains (more like contractions) had suddenly disappeared. Doctor also confirmed that it isn't labour that she still has a quite a while to go. He offered her Flagyl to stop the purge. Yours truly was kind of relieved and disappointed at same time. I had already informed some people that wifey was in labour. We went back home and normalcy resumed.

Fast forward to the early hours of this morning 15th May, around 3am contractions started it got so pronounced that around 4am it started coming at an interval of 3minutes apart. I had read a handful from this beautiful thread already to know that this was the real deal. Remembering what happened the previous week, I didn't bother calling anyone this time around so as not to raise another false alarm and risk not to be taken serious anymore. I told her to get set so we leave for the hospital, contraction continued and the urge to poo set it. I begged her not to as from my few weeks here it might just be the baby coming down as I can't risk attending to her if it happens in the restroom. I've gained a lot of knowledge from here but midwifery wasn't one. Against my plea she still did poo and thank goodness nothing happened. She was set after a while and we set off for the hospital.

A nurse checked her and all she said was "one finger" and referred her to the next room to seat. All trials to make her explained exactly what she meant by the one finger proved abortive. At that moment I remembered "Google is your friend" I quickly went to search for the meaning only to discover she's just 1-2cm dilated and it might still take a while for the baby to come. I explained the meaning for wifey and she decided if that was the case she should go to work. This was kicked against and she was asked to remain. I decided to set off for work.

Now the testimony, I was just getting to the office when I received a call from her. I was thinking probably they have come to check on her again and maybe it has increased to "two fingers" but no. I heard the best statement I've heard all year which was she telling me "the baby is out". I couldn't hide my excitement. Everything progressed so fast. She didn't spend upto 30 minutes in the delivery room before our prince landed around past 8am. Baby weighing 3.2kg, mother strong and healthy with no tears, no inducement no prolonged labour. It can only be God. I'm eternally grateful.

Has any mama experienced it?
Mamas make una no waka pass ooo

I'm not a mama but I can relate especially with the mind flying at any little thing you're experiencing as my wife experienced similar. She just put to bed 10 days ago to a healthy baby boy. So it's nothing to be really worried about, just do as your doctor said by not stressing yourself and thinking much. Everything will be ok at the end

Those in portharcourt can start the process and get theirs under a week if you pay for express. If you pay the normal fee, be ready to wait beyond a month for it (they now have an excuse of no passport for these category of people).

I registered mine last week Tuesday (express), captured same day and picked up the passport on Monday.

Express = #35, 000
Normal = #28, 000.

Stop telling them about your past. Rather, tell them more about your present, and your future.

Don't forget what the bible says. It says, 'when a man be in Christ, old things are past away,........he's a new creature.
==============================

Any man you disclose your marital status to and chickens out is actually not a good man for you. In fact, you should keep telling them about your past, it's a way of identifying the real man.

And does your bible also approve of divorce? or has the condition when a lady can re-marry after a divorce been changed? You might want to rephrase the context you are writing from and stop mis-quoting the bible.
Politics / 1000 Presidential Guards, DSS Men For Bayelsa PDP Rally by Dedewizzy(m): 1:48pm On Feb 05, 2015

There were strong indications yesterday that 500 specially trained Presidential guards and 500 crack team of the Department of State Security (DSS) are warming up to take control of the Bayelsa State presidential campaign rally venue of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday.

It was learnt that the Samson Siasia Sports Complex and its environs where the event is scheduled to hold in Yenagoa would be under the surveillance of the special security detail.

The event was initially scheduled to hold today but was shifted to Friday in unclear circumstances.

The villa was said to have reached the decision after the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, failed to yield to pressure from close friends not to show up in Bayelsa for the event.

The villa was said to have been rattled by threats by some youth groups to publicly disgrace the First Lady if she accompanied her husband to the rally.

Two groups, the Bayelsa Youth Vanguard (BYV) and the Mangrove Boys of Bayelsa (MBB), had issued stern warnings to Mrs. Jonathan on different occasions ordering her to stay away from the rally or face ugly consequences.

They accused her of meddling in the politics of the state, destabilising the state using the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) and plotting to remove Governor Seriake Dickson.

A source from the villa said security agencies were not treating the threats with kid’s lives low.

The source, who pleaded for anonymity, said the villa was working on the theory that key elements of the opposition were backing and sponsoring the youth.

They were said to be wary of the global shame stoning or booing Mrs. Jonathan at the event would bring to the first family.

He said: “They are of the opinion that the real intention of persons behind the threats is to embarrass the President and give the world the impression that even at home Jonathan is not wanted.

“The threats have rally rattled them and they are not living anything to chance. Some close friends of the first family are prevailing on the President to stop the wife from coming to Bayelsa to avoid embarrassment.

“The first lady’s refusal to yield to the pressure not to show up in Bayelsa gave rise to the decision to deploy the Presidential guards. Right now 500 specially trained Presidential guards with additional 500 crack team of secret service agents from DSS are on standby.

“They know that any attempt at stoning or booing the First Lady will send a strong message to the rest of the world”.

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/1000-presidential-guards-dss-men-bayelsa-pdp-rally/

Why waste such resources that could be channeled elsewhere just to make one person feel safe? she should be left to reap whatever she had sowed in the state.

Someone posted about this few days ago and it seems nobody listened. I'll have to repeat it again; "banks are not responsible for the delay in payment". the bitter truth is salaries won't be paid unti after the FAAC meeting. I'm close to some "ogas" in the ministry of finance so I'm quite sure of what I'm saying. Transfer of funds is currently ongoing and not just the teachers are been owed but all civil servants in the state (exception of the three banks that paid). That said, a reasonable time to start expecting payments should be from the 16th
