adewumiopeyemi:
On Akin Ambode: Egungun Be Careful, Na Express You Dey Go

When I read online what Governor Akin Ambode said at his World Press Conference, three things came to my mind: the passage in the Holy Scriptures where Samson was captured, his eyes plucked out and he became a sport to his captors. The second thing was Abass Obesere's song, 'Egungun be careful'. The third was that I rushed to Wikipedia to check Ambode's profile.

Up till now, I've refrained from joining the discussion on how Akin Ambode was told he won't get a second-term ticket and all the issues surrounding it. I've read so many comments but I feel most people are guided by sentiments rather than logic. I've not seen any CEO of any State humiliated in such a manner before. Different people turned him into a sport including a musician. He was stripped naked in the market place and turned into a punching bag.

The most dangerous person to fight is the person whose back is already against the wall and who believes he has nothing to lose. Beware of him. Ambode's back is against the wall. That is why his issue must be approached with caution. He has already lost everything so there is nothing more to lose. With the Press Conference, I honestly don't think he's interested in any second-term ticket again. His speech says as much. He is now like a bull in a china shop. You underrate such a man at your peril. And this is where it gets interesting. Like Samson in Judges 16: 29-30 (KJV), we read that "Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life". Ambode can play the Samson option. He won't be a beneficiary neither will anyone else within the structure. I've found out that in power games like this, the most dangerous people to spar with are your own 'sons'. They grew up with you and know you inside out. When sons decide to spar with their fathers, the fathers are toast- except God helps them. Ask David about Absalom. Ask Olusola Saraki about Bukola.

In his hand is the control lever of the biggest state in Nigeria. Here is a man who worked through the system for 27 years and rose to the zenith of his career, having worked as Council Treasurer, Auditor, Permanent Secretary and Accountant General for 6 years. Ambode is no fool. He threw chinks at the armour of respected poster boy, Babatunde Raji Fashola at the inception of his administration. He had to be restrained then and till date, BRF still carries those scars. Ambode may not have the gift of the garb but he is an extremely intelligent individual. He has worked with so many Governors including Bola Ahmed Tinubu and he became one himself.

I urge caution from every side. This situation is an ill-wind that will blow no one any good. The big masquerade has to be careful. The express way is full of danger. He can't afford to get into the ring with Ambode. Does he think Ambode would have addressed that Press Conference without due consultations? Who is playing the drums for him that is making his waterfly erupt in a dance? Think. The big masquerade may just have feet of clay. That is why he must be careful of taking a plunge in the river. And like my egbon Kehinde Ayoola J P wrote, "When a blind man threatens to stone a man with two eyes, let the two-eyed man beware. The blind man has a stone in his pocket already"!

So I'm here playing that Obesere blockbuster in my head....

Egungun be careful
Na express you dey go
Moto go jam you
Me I don tell you...

Bloody hypocrites!

Where are those that celebrated Ambode as the best governor? All the LG chairmen were all celebrating him, using him for campaigns into office 2016,2017, and now because their god now has an issue with him, we now all see his failure!

It does not last. PDP thought they will rule forever, look at it today. Oh if they had so polished the judiciary and other arms of government, they won't be crying like babies.

APC thinks they will rule forever in Lagos, right? The Tinubu dynasty takes the place of king makers abi? With all their online foot soldiers, shouting their praises! Their end will come suddenly. You all shouting Jagaban this, Jagaban that, will be shocked.

Well, good.

But when can we get to a point that things don't degenerate to strikes before an action is taken.

It would have been so interesting to have an independence day celebration in a general strike period. Hope that's not the reason behind the "intervention".

But I hope someone is thinking of whether the new wage can be paid regularly. Some states waited for months to be paid 18k.
PoliticsRe: APC Deployed N1.3billion Hush Money To Stop Hashim, As Fela Durotoye Got N750m by deebrain(m): 6:00am On Sep 30, 2018
bilms:
How APC deployed N1.3Billion hush money to stop Hashim, as Fela Durotoye got N750milion to split ANN

It has been exclusively gathered that All Progressive Congress (APC) has infiltrated Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) with the aim of stopping Global Business man and frontline presidential aspirant, Mr. Olawepo Hashim.

Olawepo Hashim who promised to create a $4Trillion economy for Nigeria is seen as a major threat by the rulling party, after the eloquent politician secure endorsement from middle belt leaders and generals led by TY Danjuma.

A source close to the party revealed that, after Hashim got the nod of the middle belt generals last week, the rulling APC felt gittery and moved in quickly to halt his progress.

Information emerged, on how an alleged N1.3billion hush money was deployed by All Progressive Congress (APC) through office of Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo to split Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) on the eve of it's presidential primary, leading to the postponement of the party's convention.

Investigation reveals that, the APC allegedly coordinated the infiltration of ANN, with the hush money to buy off the party through an attempted imposition of one of the lily livered presidential aspirant, Fela Durotoye who will later step down for the rulling APC.

The redeemed church and son of pastor Adeboye also played some part.

It was alleged that, the APC brought in N1billion few weeks to the presidenrial primary, among which N250million was given to the party's chairman, Pastor Dania Emmanuel, a redeemed church pastor and N750million given to Fela Durotoye. The remaining N300million was shared with others who subscribe to the evil plot.

Immediately after receiving the money, Fela started approaching party officials at state level, giving them huge sums of money and promising to buy vehicles for a number of them.

While Fela was busy deceiving his online followers by asking them to donate their hard earmed money to his campaign, he on the other hand received N750 million from the ruling party to compromise ANN's constitution.

The impression given to the Vice president's office and APC was that, with money, ANN could be bought and the leading aspirant, Olawepo Hashim could be stopped.

However, when it was clear that Durotoye doesn't have any clout to win a presidential primary against a formidable Hashim, no matter how much was spent, plan B was activated, using the office of the chairman to perpetrate illegality against the party's constitution, an illegality already countered by the party.

The ANN constitution provides that, atleast 7 days before the primary election, list of delegates and primary modalities shall be made public. However, the chairman refused to do so as stipulated by the constitution. The ANN constitution also provide that, the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) will have to ratify the delegate list and modalities, but the chairman had also refused to convene the NEC meeting for this ratification.

The question then arise, how can a party hold primary election without the aspirants knowing the modalities or the delegates?

Seeing that the laid down procedure of the party has been breached, Olawepo Hashim in a letter to the chairman pulled out of the iĺlegal primary, until the identified breaches are corrected.

While Fela and the party chairman are determined to do the job they were paid for, only 3 state party chairmen attended their kangaroo convention, where Fela was allegedly adopted as the party's candidate.

The remaining chairmen across the federation pitched their tent with the party's constitution. More than 19 state chairmen on Saturday held a press conference to denounce the illegality and fixed Wednesday, 3rd October as the date for presidential primary election.

Further investigation shows that, the chairman of the party, Pastor Dania Emmanuel is currently embroiled in serious problem with his bank accounts and all his bank accounts remained inaccessible.

According to findings, the bank verification number (bvn) has put Dania integrity into further question.

It was gathered that, Dania operated different accounts with different names and date of births. This led to shutting his account by banks.

Even the party's account cannot be signed by him because he has a contradictory date of birth.

The state chairmen and other national executives of the party, including former chairman and current board of trustee chairman, Dr Jay Samuel have fixed Wednesday, 3rd October 2018 for the party's presidential primary election, as they hold NEC meeting on Saturday night.

I was recently posted to a different unit at my work place, under a very cheerful boss lady. She has been very good to me like she chats me up all the time and takes me out to lunch most of the time. But lately, I noticed she's been giving me attitude, she's been doing that to the point it's affecting my work around her.
She has become so stiff/rigid around me like I'm always uncomfortable and tiptoeing around her, she stops taking me to lunch or sharing stuffs with me, she starts to give me work to do with no instruction and when I turn to ask her question I see she doesn't even want to make eye contact, like she doesn't want me to ask her questions or be around her at all. I once sent her a text message that I feel she's giving me attitude and it makes Me to not know how to react around her and that I am sorry if have done anything wrong. But she did not reply.

Today she gave me a job to do which happens to be confidential but gave me no heads up about it and when I'm done I went and submitted the job On the table in her office with her rival present there.
She later came to me to scold me badly that I have changed and that iam misbehaving. she said a lot of things which made me feel bad, but I'm sure she was the one that has changed.

I don't know how to explain to her how I feel without having any quarrel or upsetting her, Because it's almost looking as if she want us to have a quarrel or something.
