Arrant nonsenses from those saying the state already has enough Unis, could an entity have enough educational institutions? In as far as they are adding positive values. America has over 7000 universities

This topic is my exact headache. Imagine a computer scientist (bsc and msc) that's what I am but working In the field of consulting, (SME consulting to b particular). Tough ain't? Thou considering going for MBA soon as well. What have you say about that. I took the gig initially because of no options and still in it cos no jobs in town.what have u say peeps.

In the early hours of yesterday we were greeted with the news that The department of Criminology in unilorin has been scrapped and the students of the department were left "hanging"

It is a well known fact that Unilorin is a glorified secondary school and the students can't protest otherwise.. *coughs*

Unilorin students took to twitter to complain about the series of profane events going on in the school
1)We queue in the morning for hours to get busses
..even after lectures.. The queues are always very long and we get incessant harassment from the "Power intoxicated Cadets"

2)We paid for a Tab for over 1year the tab has not been released...yet the school didn't deem it fit to release an official explanation to explain the reason behind the delay

3)Our permanent ID card is yet to be released to us as at this time yet no explanation from the school

4)A whole department was scrapped too and they were told they'll be moved to sociology or other departments

5)Students were mandated to pay a compulsory 5,000 for bandwidth even before you can pay your school fee... yet it's mid semester no bandwidth yet... the available one are as slow as anything you can think of

6)The school portal keeps getting hacked into freely and students can't even access their portal

Clearly, I could see now that there was a comprehension problem on your part along the line. Participants didn't ask for national cake at the outset, it was FG/CBN that called them through adverts and gave them the simplest conditions that they could meet since it was like an intervention. Many participants wouldn't have bothered to apply or stress themselves if they knew that the disbursing banks would later changed the conditions of the loan to usual conditions because they knew that they wouldn't be able to meet such conditions.
But if you still didn't get it, I don't think I can help you further.

It is a special loan earmarked by the FG through these banks (BOI, Heritage, Sterling and *Fidelity) to assist youth with business ideas. It wasn't supposed to be tied to assets of guarantors because it wasn't a normal bank loan. But along the line, they changed the conditions attached.

So now that makes it a national cake and they should dish it out anyhow?

I actually subscribe to the school of thought that does belief they should reduce the conditions especially guarantors but yet the bank should still make sure they guard their money adequately.

Nobody will give you loan without securing it. If you are serious you will do everyhting to meet those conditions. If on the other hand you are just passing by , nothing for you.

I think you got the message wrong my brother is not even 5m worth of guarantors but the loan must not be more than 30 % networth of the guarantors so for example someone that applies for 5 million needs something like 16m worth of guarantors

Who says there are no alternative plans/schemes both in the past and presently catering for all of that, from equipping the schools to providing other amenities, including laboratories and libraries and which PRI school even needs lab?. We must learn not to just be condemning every policies. I remember when they were reluctant to implement this same campaign policy, all of you guys were criticizing them, now they've implemented the promise, u r saying something else, even in dis bad economic time. It would have being better the money was channel to build good library and laboratory that can last than food that wouldn't go round. So many public secondary and primary schools lack these facilities highlighted. This government shouldn't because of shame start something they can't finish

Did you know bulk of Innoson motors financing is from BOI and many other related organizations like Innoson. For BOI to declared profit of around 30B naira in their last financial year, do you think is moi-moi.

And the strides the bank is making in the MSME space is also second to none, if you don't know, seek knowledge. Problem with most SMEs just be say from my own experience, 80% of them are not loan worthy (maybe grants sha but not loan)
