Onyeoma3: @ d bolded, sorry about the waste of cash... At times, one gets too busy to respond in here especially when school is in session.
All you need is exactly the same docx you used to pay your tuition fees. Your school account details will be replaced with yours. And the reason in this case will be for UPKEEP & LIVING EXPENSES. You can transfer a tangible amount at once. I paid my tuition with Form A. After reading your post, I inquired from the bank if I can use the form for this purpose and was told that if it's a personal account (and/or for living expenses), Form A can not be used. Union bank to be precise. Please do you know of banks that approve... Open question oo, if anyone has tried this, as it is a really cheap means of transferring money. |

@Godmyn I also had the same fear, as I'm the first of quite a no of children (not up to 15 tho ) Please fill family information form honestly. In my affidavit of sponsorship, I just gave a rounded up figure of the tuition of my siblings (I reduced it tho... Frm 3M to 2.2M) **Apart from deedee0, my other financial obligation is the tuition of my other children in Nigeria, which is 2.2M I didn't state d schools they are attending.. If you can get a co sponsor, go ahead.. But I did not have a co-sponsor, i jst included every source of funds that was available... Salary, property rental, fixed deposit, pension etc Include every source of funds that is available.. Shares, cooperative savings etc |

SeraSera: Quick tips for those intending to book flights this period: If you do not live in Lagos or you live in Lagos and do not mind some extra travelling, for whatever airlines you choose, compare flight prices between Lagos and Abuja airports for your intended travel dates. I discovered that with Lufthansa, flights from Abuja are generally less expensive than those from Lagos. I was able to secure a one-stop flight to Toronto-Pearson at 325k from Abuja as opposed to 390k from Lagos for the same date and time.
Also, if possible do not pay online. If your chosen airline offers the option, choose to pay at their office or through bank transfer. They would send you the equivalent amount in Naira. For Lufthansa, conversion was done at about 199 naira to the dollar, which I think is quite fair. There is a good chance that you would pay at a higher conversion rate is you choose to pay with your bank issued cards. That's all. Thanks. |

Gu2015: really,I sent jst my passport ,passport request mail and a return envelop addressed to me thru UPS dint send d passport Copy nd receipt dat was given to me during biometrics, hope it won't affect d return of my passport. I can't say.. Ask JohnDuke259 and toboy, they used courier services too. I don't think it will affect. I didn't know thats what was referred to as collection slip. I asked if he was referring to the collection mail sent to me, he said No. When it was almost leading to an argument, I brought the papers in my bag, he saw the passport copy with receipt, and said that is your collection slip. I wasn't told during biometrics that the paper is important, thank God I took it along.. And it has not been mentioned on this thread |

gabrola: bros uhm d 4.1m was in ur sponsor's account for how many months b4 u printed d soa? my sponsor av 4.8m but d money just recently came in. tho he had 24m inflow and 19m out flow, im afraid to use d account. I really can't say.. Mine is a running account (salary), I didnt need to lodge the money for a number of months. If your sponsor can explain in his letter of sponsorship, that might help... If the money is from a sale of property etc. People that understand finance better can advise further. |

That Lagos instruction form has been on the website since April, it's just been updated. When I was applying in May, I saw it and downloaded it, showed my sponsor to convince him to release all the documents I was asking for. I didn't fill and submit tho, as it was not required for Online route. I don't think it makes any difference, it's probably just country-specific instruction. HayqinsbFX ChriGo |
