Juwonmania: Continuation... When I entered petrocam today ehn, told the girl to sell 4k fuel for me. She said oga look at the pump o before I start. When she was through she asked for money, I checked the pump, she sold 1k. I told her I said 4k, she said she thought it's 1k I said. The same thing the other guy did. She continue selling from 1k and stopped at 3k too and claimed she sold 1k before and 3k now. That's when I came down from my car. Told her my experience with the guy yesterday. She denied and I insisted I wanted to see d manager .. That was when she calm down and was like *God will judge it*.. She sell my remaining 1k for me and I left in peace. Lol. Experience has taught you. They have been doing it since the days of king Solomon and many people have mentioned it here |

Pearl1910: I think Northwest sells d the type of fuel Total sells...it burns fast. So their pump may be accurate but it still doesn't deliver the results of Heyden, Bovas and NNPC. My experience though. NNPC has mixture of good and bad so I don't buy at just any NNPC station unless tested and endorsed by people I know. Bovas and Heyden it is from now on then |

Pearl1910: But u will have to drive back to d spot or close to d place u clicked arrived before u can cancel with rider didn't show up. If not, u go complete the trip o For me I don't even border moving an inch when I discover I don guck for the pricing. Arrive, wait 5mins and cancel. Indriver Riders can call for Africa they hardly cancel trips, how will they cancel when they finally get someone who is willing to do Berger to Chevron for 3k. Nonsense!!! Oh I can arrive and cancel on the same spot I received the request? I've not tried it before, it's way better than the nonsense driving down. If I cancel on the road I always cancel at pickup loc and it always works. The app sef get as e be |

spartacus11: men you guys are trying ohhh
one thing i have observed from driver post is, it is recommended that even when you want to cancel, you should drive to the pick up point and wait some minutes before you cancel
if you have 10 cancellations per day, doesn’t that cut into more fuel expenses for the driver? Yes you have to drive to PU and wait for 5 mins so if you know you want to cancel, just click "I've arrived and start driving to pickup location so by the time you get there 5 mins go don pass. I do this if commission is not something I can forego. If you have 10 cancellations, as long as it's either riders cancelled or you used rider did not show option when cancelling, you will get refund even if it's 1 million naira lol |

spartacus11: Sorry i don’t do card trips i don’t do transfer i don’t do take me to ATM to withdraw
i pay cash, i do cash
if i have different stop i need to make, i discuss all my stops with driver before i even enter into the vehicle, from my first stop to my final destination
if i don’t know the exact area of my destination, i discuss with driver, and only one driver has ask me to change distinction on the app bcus he knows the location very well
all riders are not evil
and yes i am using the app the right way. bcus i make my pickup very easy and smooth for any driver picking me up
Peace.
if someone like you book a ride today as a rider, i sorry for the driver when go pick u up that day I'm a driver so I know locations where driver won't complain if they come to pick me up, the day I requested from a street with bad roads, I called the driver to inform him we would meet at the bus stop incase he gets there before me then I started walking to the junction and at the same time I was monitoring the driver's movement on the app. I waved him down myself at the bus stop because I know how to use the app |

spartacus11: it was still this thread drivers where complaining that rider want them to be picking them up from their bedrooms, them see who dey go junction go wait for them, it becomes a problem too
what do bolt drivers really want from riders? You want to start driving soon, so I'm telling you from experience now. Beware of riders that put roadside or popular landmarks as their PU Most of them put similar locations as destination Most of them are unusually nice and friendly Most of them do transfer and because they are nice and friendly you too will want to pay back in kind if alert doesn't drop on time. That's how most riders scam scam drivers with fake transfer. There are some that have good intentions like you, but the ones with bad intentions outnumber the good. I have peace of mind to an extent if I pick you from a place I can trace you to if something goes wrong. I hope you get my point now |

pocohantas: Some of us have conscience. We know the road to our houses are terrible, so we rather come meet you at the good part of the road. You should appreciate us. You just told me your own reason which every driver including me will definitely appreciate. I asked for his own reason which may not be the same as yours but he replied with "I make pickups very easy for drivers". If that's the only reason then I will still prefer to pick you from your house, any driver can locate anywhere provided it's on google map, just put the right address and relax |

spartacus11: Do they refund the commission if you prove you didn’t embark on said trip?
and how do you prove that trip didn’t happen If rider cancels, they will reimburse the driver after 30 days. If driver cancels then it's byebye to commission except you drive down to pickup location and cancel with the option "rider did not show" |
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by deedee44: 7:58pm On Sep 12, 2021 |
Pearl1910: U call or rider calls, u cancel or rider cancels, They will deduct their commission first as soon as u pick price and time and rider accepts ur proposal. Whether they will refund the money deducted now depends on circumstances surrounding the cancellation/termination of the trip. When rider calls immediately and cancels immediately after the call they don't deduct commissions. But if driver calls commission will be deducted immediately. Speaking from my own experience |

spartacus11: image for reference purposes, didn’t want to display my location reasons for the unnamed road
what is this function on Bolt for?
Nor be every rider, driver dey wait for, but na every driver, rider dey wait for.
so i don’t see any reason why rider & driver can’t make way to pickup point, and arrive almost same time
Bolt calculate an estimated time driver will arrive, and you think i can’t get to pickup point before driver?
i can set my house as a pickup point, but i don’t rather i use business or church landmark in my junction as pickup point, that is me even helping the driver not to drive into street
u think say na me like trekking pass wen dey decide to trek go junction go wait for driver
No matter wat u do, Nigerians must always talk That function is for if you want to request for someone, the app is designed in such a way that you don't need to stress yourself pointing to where you are. You said you can't set your house as a pickup point, may I ask why? Because as a driver I prefer to pick you from your house. I'm always at alert when someone requests and stays by the roadside, it's a red flag cuz that's what all those riders doing fake transfer do so you won't be able to trace them. So I still think you're using the app wrongly sir |

spartacus11: the moment driver calls, that is when i start checking the app to see his or her movement. the reason i don’t call are all over post above and previous page,
Driver calls- where are you
Me- i give a landmark of where i am standing, if i am a little far from the main road, i tell them the street i am walking out from, that i am walking towards the road. When you request a ride you're supposed to stay there and wait for driver to come and pick you, you're not supposed to start walking towards any main road, so moving away from PU is even more reason you should call driver to inform him of your waka. You're using the app wrongly |

kanuisagoat: Really? What if the pickup is wrong? If I don't hear from whoever I'm going to pick, I don't even start the vehicle. That's what indriver turned me to my brother, once you call they they deduct their commission so I wait for riders to call first. Most times riders call before I even move 100m |
