PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by deedeedee1: 11:34pm On Apr 22, 2017
Angel196:
I tell you it will still happen. Cause about from tribalism there is religious favoritism. If you feel being made a single tribe is what can make a country great then so be it. Some single tribe state are being governed by a person of that tribe, but he still embezzles and goes scot free.
Just recently, south korea(a monoethnic society) impeached their president. If such a thing happened in nigeria, the hausas and fulanis will side buhari. Now tell me is this a country? We need to stop ignoring the truth. Nigeria cannot eradicate corruption. Corruption exists in every country but suppressing it is what an oduduwa nation will achieve.
PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by deedeedee1: 11:17pm On Apr 22, 2017
Angel196:
Well first of all, Nigerian never had slaves to help them build their country.

You think forming a new country would make it easier? How many years do you think its gonna take before its gonna get easier?

Was Nigeria created or colonized or created by the British? Our main problems are those who having been misleading and misusing our funds. Look at the story of Ghana, why did they actually start becoming developed? By creating new country or by getting rid of the main problem?

Among all tribes corruption exists so don't think you'll overcome this difficulty without solving the main problem causing it. Again I don't care if Nigeria choose to separate or not. All I know is that what remains of it will succeed.
Actually fifty percent of ghanians are ethnically akan.
PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by deedeedee1: 11:15pm On Apr 22, 2017
Angel196:
Yes it isn't that easy, thank goodness you know that too. Have we ever really fought to eradicate corruption in the past before? We never cared enough to because we probably feel it didn't matter to our development. But the the truth is, it did and it does.

And Biafra wouldn't be free from corruption either cause it exists in their part too. Do you really think building a new country is easier than trying to fix the current one? Then I must say, you have a very difficult task ahead of you, which might even be harder than making Nigeria great.
Madam, we cant kill corruption in nigeria. Why? Because we live in a indigenous ethnically diverse country. Everybody in nigeria is a tribalist(especially in terms of interest). We all will defend our tribesmen no matter how bad they are. Now let me give you an example: I am yoruba but imagine if osinbajo is the president of the country and he is charged with corruption, whereby he will have to resign from his positon or get impeached for the vp to take over. Now imagine if such vp to take place is not yoruba, will i support the impeachment of osinbajo even though there are evidences that he is corrupt? The answer is no!!! I definately wont!! Why? Because he is yoruba and i am also yoruba. Now if yoruba had their own country would osinbajo have the gods to steal money? Now this is why monoethnic countries have very little corruption. That is how igbo country will also look like.
PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by deedeedee1: 10:41pm On Apr 22, 2017
Angel196:
Well for one they are trying really hard to fight the corruption which I'm sure everyone knows is the reason we are in this situation today instead of lying about corruption not being in Nigeria. If we can eradicate corruption from Nigeria completely then the toughest part of developing Nigeria is solved.
You cant eradicate curruption just like that. You need a system to drive patriotism in people. Only a right sytem can kill corruption.
PoliticsRe: For Or Against Nigeria's Possible Division? by deedeedee1: 10:37pm On Apr 22, 2017
Nigeria will be great. Blah! Blah!blah! Your fathers once said it. Now you are saying it. That means your children will also say it. Dont you guys get tired?
You keep doing same thing and expecting a different result. Nigeria was created by the British. Funny enough, the same British people are doing things in sensible ways by allowing referendum. Shouldn't you be like them.
PoliticsRe: Threats To Breakup Mere Blackmail- Junaid Muhammad by deedeedee1: 10:13pm On Apr 22, 2017
In as much as i want the disintegration of nigeria i dont think this country will separate peacefully. Those who think so are only deceiving themselves. Nigeria will separate one day but i feel pity for the ones who will not be prepared because they will be affected the most(especially the poor ones).
PoliticsRe: Prospectus For A New Nigeria - Dr Saint by deedeedee1: 10:02pm On Apr 22, 2017
With the way nigeria is going, i must say that i really pity the children unborn because they will really suffer. The country keeps getting worse day by day. When nigeria got her independence, things were a little bit better than today. What we are facing is what our fathers and granfathers also faced. This is the reason why fela sang suffering and smiling about forty years ago.The only luck they had then was that there were very few university graduates, so they never had much competition for jobs. Unlike now where every youth has a degree. Nigeria is only growing in population. Nothing else!!! Let nigeria separate!! The world have left us behind!!!

Its really pathetic. Don't our wicked politicians ever come across these statistics? What an eyesore, we are doomed as a nation if we continue to pretend that all is well. We need to come to terms with reality, i wonder when we shall say enough is enough
Since 1960, you guys have always blamed your leaders. If i check through, it means that your fathers and grandfathers also did same. Most of these leaders you blame grew up in the same society like you and i...they are not from congo or greece. Also, a large sum of your leaders were not known 15years ago.
Dont you think nigeria's problem is beyond leadership?

what is the way forward o?
There is no way forward for nigeria. Things will only get worse. This is because nigeria itself was not created by us but by foreigners who out of greed and power, joined hundreds of indegenous ethnic groups without minding the enormous negative effect it will bring to its people. So my friend, nigeria will only get worse

What buhari has done is what everybody in nigeria will do. There is nothing like one nigeria. We all will do anything to benefit our tribesmen...and of course unless you lie to yourself. I myself will do the same thing anyways.
PoliticsRe: Breaking Nigeria Before Nigeria Was Born by deedeedee1:
About 200years ago, the average European earned just thrice that of an Africa. But today, they earn 30 times than us. Africans need to go back to the way we were before the whites came. We need to restructure the countries created by them and let ethnic groups with same culture live together. With this, ethnic superiority will reduce, patriotism erupts. And when there is patriotism, corruption will surely die!! Our native language should be our official language. The whites have left for decades now.
Enough of the blame game already
PoliticsRe: The Black Africans Who Ruled Europe From 711 To 1789 - Pics by deedeedee1: 4:33pm On Apr 19, 2017
lols!!! op you cant be convincing black people that they were once great at the same time supporting most African countries structure even though you know they are of the whites creation. You simply cannot support Nigeria if you believe that we are greater than the whites because Nigeria itself was created by them. Lead by example by telling Africans to restructure there countries according to their choice not by the European creation. Africans have to start speaking their native language as their official language. This way, we will go back to our glory.

as claimed by some quarters previous Government was corrupt and competent and in other quarters this government is corrupt free and incompetent. Which now the way to go?
This government is not corrupt free. They just pretend that they are. Buhari himself cannot tell you he is not corrupt. Corruption can never end in nigeria because of the system not the leaders. Only a system can kill corruption. A right system is what boost patriotism. When you have patriotic citizens then corruption dies. But my friend there is no difference between patriotism and tribalism. Which means for you to have patriotic citizens you must kill tribalism. To kill tribalism you must stop people from speaking there native language and also associating with there tribesmen. But my friend can you really do that?
PoliticsRe: Enough Is Enough Nigeria Should Break Up - Fani Kayode by deedeedee1: 2:48pm On Apr 19, 2017
Let Nigeria seperate. I do not support restructuring of the country because if we go back to regional government, tribalism will only increase.
We should not make the mistake our fathers made instead we should correct them. About sixty years ago, there were people who were smart to see how nigeria would look like but the majority chose to ignore them. You simply cannot put hundreds of indigenous tribes in a country because it simply cannot work. They will always fight for superiority.

i dont have to be a seer to care for my future. I care about the future because this is the same country my children and their children will live in. A country that has no future simple has none. In the next twenty years nigeria will still not have electricity, good roads. Infact nigeria's future will be much worse than today.

9jakool:
So 300 Nations?
Common ethnic group/language has nothing to do with it. Look at one of the most ethnically and religiously homogeneous countries in the world like Somalia and Ukraine.
Countries like Indonesia, Philippines, Brazil, Australia, Italy, and the US all have over 100 ethnic groups and diverse religions and they seem to be doing better. The problem with Nigeria is that you have a government that doesn't care about its people, so the common citizens are left to battle over their differences which intensify the already existing political divide, furthermore aiding the cause of those in power.

Cultural differences is irrelevant to Nation building (those barriers are only surface deep). Nation building only needs people who can unite on a progressive plan to develop irrespective of their differences. This is exactly what happened in Rwanda, a country that was torn apart by genocide that arose from cultural differences and power struggle. The Rwanda that emerged from the ashes of its past is now one of the fastest growing economy in the world with fast-growing human development.
lols! How come you seem to choose only somalia and ukraine? Why not japan, garmany, south korea, poland, netherland, norway, denmark, austria, sweden, hungary? Hmm? Tell me? Why not compare them with your country and see how far this country has gone. Ukraine is far much better than nigeria. America has been able to manage its diversity because it is occupied by non indegeneous people. Hence, they are classified by race or continent they originate from. Everyone in america(apart from african american-who got there as slaves) know where his ancestors are from. This is why you hear words like german american, english american e.t.c.
No matter how you africans ignore your problem...the truth is that it will keep staring at you.
Have a good day

Nigeria is not a nation, why must you guys live in a country created by the whites? This is why racism and superiority exists. Nigeria was never meant to be. PoliticsNigeria Is A Country But Not A Nation. by deedeedee1(op): 12:23am On Apr 19, 2017
I laugh when people call nigeria a nation but what these people do not know is that nigeria is not a nation.
What is nation? A nation is a geographical area where people with similar cultures, language live. Infact any thing that unite a people as one. A nation can be called a country but not all countries can be called a nation. Example of nations and coutries are: japan, south and north korea, poland, netherlands e.t.c Infact most european countries can be called nations.
Why should i not call nigeria a nation?
Nigeria cannot be called a nation because we are a country of 300 nations. We have three major ethnic groups who share almost equal an percentage and also hundreds of smaller ethnic group. No matter how you look at it we do not share anything in common. We are different in every aspect. As young as i am, i can easily differentiate an igbo from yoruba, hausa from yoruba, igbo from hausa by just looking at them. If you compare an ijesha and ijebu person you cant see any difference between them. Also oyo and ijesha people dont look different even though we speak different dialect. This is what a nation is all about....similar culture language and people.
Friends have a nice day.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Will Never Break Up: Here Is Why by deedeedee1: 11:41pm On Apr 18, 2017
Nonsense!!! What is the essence of living in a country with 300 ethnic groups? I do not know when a black man will ever use his brain. Let people who share a common language, culture and ancestor live in the same country so that there will be peace. Let them form nations.
Simple!!!
