juman:Who are your leaders destroying your country? |
argon500:(1) We were forced to live in the same country (2) Apart from being black, we share no similarity in culture, language. Mind you, Nigeria is not the only African country facing ethnic problem. |
But unfortunately, we can not be united!!! |
Let Nigeria separate. It is not by force to live together since the country itself was forcefully created by the Europeans. By allowing ethnic groups no matter how small they are in size and population to determine their future without being suppressed by the majority, Africa as as a continent will surely progress and will have peace. It is high time we stop repeating and doing same thing over again and expecting a different result. I am ethnically Yoruba with ijesha blood and i say let Nigeria split!!! |
SillyMods:Baba i don't think Nigeria can ever separate without war. I do think that the Representatives have a lot of work to do, but these people are not ready and do not want it because of greed. Referendum cannot stop Nigeria from having crises, but how to reduce the number of casualties is what matter. I myself support the disintegration of this country, but how many Yoruba people do you see support it? Instead they spend their time blaming the leaders for the backwardness of this country without checking other facts. The Yoruba people should know that this country will not and can not move forward because of its foundation. |
What a thread!!!! Yoruba people should leave this country. What a big shame!!! |
Godfullsam:Yes you are right. I do get suprise when people(even the so called educated ones) call nigeria a nation. They actually have no idea what a nation is. To me, nigeria is far from being a nation due to so much cultural and language difference. The british people that created this country never bothered. To them, they needed to expand their influence round the world. Many people who resist the disintegration of this country are ignorant people who do not care to know how nigeria was formed. The truth is, it was against our ancestors wish. You cant live in a country not formed by your ancestors, neither should you use another man's language(e.g english ) to justify why a country should be called "one". Our fathers were all aware of this but they simply ignored it. The youths of today should not make the same mistake their fathers did, but instead learn from it. You cant carve indigeneous ethnic people with so much difference into one geigraphical area and expects things to go well. Such country will fail in every system. SMH!!! |
This is why ethnic groups with similar culture, history and language should live together. In countries like this, competence is needed not sentiment. I would vote a better candidate in a yoruba country but in nigeria, i would rather vote my tribemen even if i know he will fail. There is no difference between tribalism and patriotism. They are simply the same. |
Well i think the man is right but during jonathan regime, the se/ss never pressured for restructuring simply because their brother was in charge. So this does not apply to only yoruba people but really why will femi gbajamiala go against it? These are the kind people yoruba should reject. They bring shame to us. Any yoruba leader that choose to go against restructuring or splitting of this country is a big shame and should be totally rejected!!! |
The black man ignorance is very deep. It is part of human life to be sentimental. This is what make you human. Africans need to understand this. |
VirginFinder:Exactly! The main reason why majority of yoruba did not vote gej was simply because of marginalization! You need to see what stella oduah(former minister of aviation) did against yoruba in favor of her tribesmen. Even when she was accused of embezzling public funds, her people were like: leave our daughter alone. It is our time to "chop". Lols but how come is it that this writer believe that not voting for gej was as a result of "hatred against igbo"? Is gej igbo? Gej thought yoruba were not needed forgetting that he will meet the same yoruba people at the poll. Only for him to be running to yorubaland few weeks to election. Every ethnic group(small or big), will always complain of being marginalized. Especially when it is a diverse country like nigeria. The writer should get over an election that took place 2 years ago but instead push for the total disintegration of this british experiment called niger-area! |
Good! Let nigeria disintegrate. The three ethnic groups are large to form separate countries. There is no benefit of having a population of 170 million with 300 ethnic groups and 3 majority with close population percentage fighting for superiority. Let them live apart and they will progress because they will vote for competence not with sentiment. |
This is why i support the total disintegration of this country. People lives no longer matter. Are you telling me buhari has not heard of all these killings? I doubt that. But still, this man has chosen to keep silent. Things like this cant happen in civilized societies. If yoruba will ever a separate country, no fulani will be allowed to carry his cows or with guns roaming to indigene farms without being deported. They will be forced to live like normal human beings because there will be law. Omo nigeria yi ti sun mi!!! |
doublewisdom:Mr man stop saying nonsense. It has been over two years since jonathan lost the election, why are you still bitter about it? Why can you just let go? Instead of condemning these wicked fulani herdsmen, you are bringing politics into it. If you have nothing sensible to say, just keep shut! |
Wishful thinking! I agree other african countrues can reach this feat but nigeria can never. With a population of 170 million, we still manage 5 thousand megawatt of electricity. By 2050( 33 years from now), nigeria's population will be twice this not to talk of 2080. Next time when people want to make analysis like this, you need to check population increase. You cant use population of today to conclude about something of 60yrs from now. |
This is a blatant lie! I have not seen any guy that is scared of dating cele girls. Even though i am not religious, i would rather marry a cele girl than from any denomination. This is because of their high tolerance. |
Federalism will change nothing. Total disintegration is best!!! |
Gerrard59:lols! You are right though. Benin republic has almost almost 24hrs a day electricity. Infact, in a week, they only take light for at most 1hr. There are also rich people here. I mean people who drive cars that nigeria cannot afford. There also many poor peole here though. Despite the fact they are under neocolonialism and no crude oil, they are still doing great. |
abacha |
Fashola is an intelligent omoluabi. The system is the problem not fashola. Nigeria should split and see how wonderfully well he will perform in a separate yoruba country. |
post=56149121:mister, all these places you mentioned are not cities but states |
Dont worry ffk. Your ile-ife people will join biafra |
This op is a guy that is against disintegration of nigeria. And yet, opens topics. Nonsense!! |
It is not nations in a nation but nations in a country(ordinary geographical expression) |
How did you come up with this? These places you mentioned are not as developed as normal streets in london. SMH |
There is nothing funny here |
If war starts, i can assure you that the hausa/fulani will loose. Why? (1) They have no access to sea to import weapon. (2) Nigeria survives through only crude oil. It is what they can use to acquire weapons. And guess what people? The crude oil is located down south. I dont know what gives these people confidence though. |
Everything about the guy is as a result of the British people. If the British people had rejected him the way Nigeria did, he would not have been where he is today. The people that witnessed the fight yesterday were British!!!! Why are Nigerians now claiming him? Why not build and support your home boxers to be like him instead a claiming a guy elevated by the British? Big shame!!! |
How has this contributed to the development of these countries mentioned? Age does not determine the quality of a leader but with a right system in place, a leader above 80 will do well. |
Ogashub:Your question should be what has Buhari done since he became president? |
Nonsense!!! The man is no more in power and you are still blaming him. If Buhari is not corrupt, tell him to disclose his assets |
Prayer will not change Nigeria's situation |
But unfortunately, we can not be united!!!
