Politics / Re: FG Rules Out Military Action Against Rampaging Herdsmen by deeflamez(m): 12:51pm On Jun 06, 2016 |
This is for those who refuse to think, analyse, reason and understand different phenomena and strategies but are only hungry to argue, just to waste people's time and bring them down to their low level of myopic reasoning. 1. Fulani herdsmen roam almost every local government, 36 states in Nigeria and beyond. 2. There is Police in every state & LGA which can be deployed to gather intelligence, survey, strategize and control. 3. The Military cannot be deployed to all LGAs,States and communities to monitor herdsmen. That'll mean, the Army, Airforce & Navy at the same time all over Nigeria which besides being costly and unsustainable will make Nig seem like a war zone. Summarily, since the herdsmen, cattle rustlers & farmers crisis isn't usually premeditated or occur in one place neither has it been repeatedly done by 'one collective group', thereby scattered making everyone and no one a suspect, the plan is for the NPF to increase surveillance of their LGs, communities and States, while the Military might be deployed in primary situations beyond the control of the NPF. Military actions are for repeatedly continuous crisis, chaotic, destructive situations limited to a small or specific location. And it's usually the 'Last point of action' when the situation has refused to heed to civil means of resolution. 2 Likes |

Politics / Re: This Is How Buhari Respected The Christian Faith With His Cap On His Head by deeflamez(m): 12:01pm On Jun 06, 2016 |
ZUBY77: Actually the entire thread is useless and pointless. 1. The basis of comparisons are unrelated. 2. The mob victim is dead as a result of illiterate, extremists miscreants which has been condemned by every right thinking human. 3. Buhari never made those statements, a 'Twitter handler' did. His full remarks about the incident only condemned the actions of the mob satisfactorily. 4. The picture above explains nothing about the gathering or its rules whatsoever. 5. There's nowhere in the bible that forbids wearing a cap in a 'gathering' or place of worship. It's borne of personal, social, cultural, denominational & doctrinal phenomena (NONE IS BIBLICAL). Summary: Woman killed in Kano by an irate mob has no correlation whatsoever with another Muslim at a 'gathering' with his cap on. Incidents are unrelated (neither similar nor opposite) for comparison. It was wrong, senseless, violent, and has been condemned. There's no productivity or moral in relating it except to argue as foolz will. This topic is simply baseless and unintelligent. It's ad hominem and was created to attack, argue, insult and create disharmony. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Sctests: That's why you all will never learn. There is no unity in all of your struggles because they are all personal. Today it's about oil blocks, tomorrow resource control, next day it's unemployment, then oil spill. When it's all over, they recycle another set of grudges, we want amnesty, then we want monthly allowance, we want gold streets etc. And the cycle goes on & on. The truth is that there will always be a group of miscreants with a trademark & title struggle, there will always be a topic. Anybody can carry arms for a struggle, but true struggle is taking it to the doors of the corrupt elites & leaders in your own region who have impoverished you, not killing the lives of the poor masses who are affected by it the most. When the so called frivolous demands are met again n again, another set of rogues will rise up with another topic for their own share of violence money, supported by the gullibles. What they need is enlightenment & sophistication which can only be gotten through hardwork & not laziness & destructive mindset. We have a country of 170million, if every region were to take up arms for a struggle, trust me there will always be a title for it. SE = wants Biafra & Niger bridge (2 opposites) SS = Oil & several miscellaneous titles North = Sharia (after BH I'm sure they don't want it again) SW = maybe 4th mainland bridge I don't know. If a criminal needs to find a title for a struggle, then that's it. But we've moved past that & we're not interested in violence. Stop agitating for it when you can't go to the war front. The North has experienced a lot, I'm sure those in support of Boko Haram earlier have either lost some family, friends, house or business to the violence. Now I no longer see supporters. Just like BH, NDA is doing Niger Delta no good...none at all. |

I'm in support of this ban. This issue should've never been left to the FG to handle. The State Governors should individually take effective measures to resolve this issue. The ripple effect will be felt by other herdsmen in other states. It may take a while but they will all gradually learn to adapt to ranching as a new way of life. It's time to go beyond indiscriminate grazing of livestock on the roads without control. |
Politics / Re: FG Will Privatize Refineries Before December by deeflamez(m): 4:53pm On May 23, 2016 |
ZUBY77: Lol, it doesn't matter who owns all the oil wells, after a while, the ND will still find something to cry about. If the ND had been developed up to Dubai standards by their leaders with the allocation they've been receiving including better education and structures, their level of enlightenment and sophistication would've gone beyond bombing for agitation. There are creeks in Akwa Ibom, Lagos, Ondo etc. But the level of enlightenment of those living in those areas will never tolerate destruction and pollution for Federal attention. So you see, as I earlier said, the Niger Deltans are their own problem, there are no genuine demands because they will always have something to agitate about. The last rivers election was the most bloody, heads and bodies everywhere all to the satisfaction of the Niger Deltans. And instead of condemning, you'll hear comments like 'dem murd am, no be strong guy sef'...and the circle continues. Summarily, all they want is violence at every excuse they can find, it's become a way of life, a culture, a swag, an identity to be unruly. So what's the point? |

Buhari did not share the so called wells, so what's the point. The sharing as you presumed wasn't done as you even purported. If the ND business men had done the right thing they would own most refineries, oil wells & installations in conglomerates & partnerships, but nah, they only believe in 'Now money', not 'Future wealth'. The youths sell their job slots, the elders sell their youths while pocketing the wealth. Instead of setting up entities, they prefer to fold their arms & take 'settlement' of various forms. They believe others should work & settle them. Give them the refineries and Niger Deltans will sell them again to non Niger Deltans to make money and 'settle' them. Then we'll be back here again in 5years talking about another 'struggle'. Sigh, it's madness. 1 Like |

BabaAlaji: No they won't listen. I want to assume that no real blood-flowing human being will be in support of this madness. Infact those who should be happy about the destruction going on in the South south should be non-Southerners, since the environmental effects don't affect them. But surprisingly the happy ones are the Southerners themselves. It's like setting your fathers house on fire & partying to the campfire. While your neighbours are begging you to take it easy on your family properties all because you hate your father. Nobody loves criminals. I mean... North hates Boko Haram. East hates kidnappers/ritualists South West hates destruction Farmers hate unruly herdsmen But... South South, loves criminals/militants. Now of all the above, South South makes the most money, get the most allocations, have the smallest landmass to stir rapid developments, yet are the most mentally, structurally backward. There can never be development in a land that destroys 9 to build 1. No matter your point, agitation or struggle. We do not have the capacity to rebuild what has been destroyed over & over again when we should be adding to the few we have. |

Politics / Re: FG Will Privatize Refineries Before December by deeflamez(m): 11:21am On May 23, 2016 |
ZUBY77: Dangote's refinery is in Lagos, not Kano, Minna, Kaduna etc. Cement factories in Ethiopia, Kenya etc. Globacom, MTN are in Ghana etc. Etisalat is an Emirate company in Nigeria. And so on... It makes no difference. A mentality as such will take you nowhere. Bridges are a means of connection, trade, and economic movement. No land can survive in isolation. Niger Delta billionaires can invest in the refineries, but they probably won't. But when a Musa, Tunji or Obi invests in it, it becomes 'marginalization'. The South South billionaires need to believe in forming partnerships and strong business conglomerates. But then, is there any use enlightening one who's life support system is based on darkness? Especially when they don't want the light, to enjoy blaming in the dark. 2 Likes |

ZUBY77: If there are smart business men in the Niger Delta, they should be the ones bidding for the refineries in their region. They can even partner to run the refineries as business entities and conglomerates, just as South Western & Northern business men form strong business partnerships. But no, they won't do that, they will all scream, cry & complain till someone who is more innovative takes the opportunity, and then they cry again. You see the problem of Niger Delta has always been the Niger Delta. 1 Like |

Illiterates everywhere. It'll take years to educate the destructive myopic minds of many people. 1. The Economy isn't for the President, it is run by the collective hardwork of Nigerians. 2. The President isn't responsible for the present state of the Niger Delta. Hold your ND Leaders accountable. 3. The Nigerian government can't help those who have refused to be helped. 4. Destroying the economy means destroying the hardworking common man on the street (not the big man who has a plan B). 5. Even ISIS is economically smarter than the NDA (research why). 6. True struggle is taking the bombs to the individual elites in your community and the government houses. Anything short of that is cowardice. 7. A Niger Deltan will complain, sit around discussing oil, corruption & politics all day while waiting for free money, yet praise & dance for a corrupt politician when he passes by. 8. A militant will bomb his grandmother's house and say he's punishing the government. You see that there's a need for mental restructuring in that region. 9. There's little that can be done to orientate someone who's bent on destroying no matter what because even when you meet all his demands, he comes with another excuse tomorrow to destroy. All he needs is half-an-excuse, a few idle miscreants & a gullible majority... 10. Contrary to what the 'gullibles' think, the militants are not fighting for the common man but to destroy the common man in a bid to get compensation. What sense does it make to burn your house so that government can give you a piece of land? Or can you kidnap a poor man to get ransom from the rich? The common man is not in support of destruction. It can be used to arm twist, but it has never led to a better life. Those who beat drums of war will never wish to be at the war front. This isn't a struggle, this is madness. And if true Niger Deltans sit down and watch this senselessness persist, they should be ready to tell their future generations tales of how there used to be a Niger Delta but was destroyed by their fathers to punish the government. I and other well meaning Nigerians are not in support of miscreants, terrorists, robbers, militants, rapists, herdsmen and every other destructive vices that may Trademark themselves to inflict pain on their immediate environment for their own selfish quests. I HATE MY KING, SO I BURN MY FATHER'S HOUSE, MY NEIGHBOURS FARM, STARVE MY COMMUNITY & CALL IT A 'STRUGGLE'. No it's not a Struggle, IT'S MADNESS!!! 5 Likes 2 Shares |

EmmaOgbu: Relax, he was talking about full repair & upgrade for them to run at optimum capacity. A refinery might be functioning but recording more losses than gains. It's like complaining of your badly maintained car that emits excess carbon monoxide & guzzles fuel yet your wife's stubborn kidbro steals fuel from your tank, bursts your tires & blows your gasket. Still you need to drive to work & spend money fixing what you were still fixing or saving for a new one...while domestic bills need to be met. In otherwords, our refineries are messed up, but we need fuel, gas for electricity, polypropylene & other by-products. The more pipelines are vandalized & we ignore, support or don't stop it. We'll keep taking that 'wrecked car' back to the mechanic for repairs...until a day it refuses to cough...and then we'll be stranded, the entire Nation in perpetual darkness, stands still. Even phone companies & airports will shutdown. This time for a long time because the damage might then be unfixable. And then we'll probably go back to playing the 'blame game'. 2 Likes |

Lastly, that's just a glimpse of what's happening all over the country, FG, State, Private, Stores, Armed forces, Universities, schools etc. Monetary theft, via fraud & ghost workers might be minimized in any society/Nation, but 'connections' & shortcuts in the struggle for scarce resources will always be inevitable. NOTE: Most govt jobs don't pay much, even with 'connection' you most times have to work your way up the higher wages & 'side hustle'. And even many politicians don't find it 'that easy' lobbying juicy govt jobs for their kids. The major advantage is the job security (absenteeism) & possible future political connections.
