PoliticsRe: Before We Lost Kwankwaso In Aso Rock. by deeobserver209(m): 11:45am On Sep 09, 2014
faragai24: BEFORE WE LOST KWANKWANSO IN ASO ROCK.
By Ali Umar Faragai
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Surround yourself with good people. People who are going to be honest with you and look out for your best interests." Derek Jeter.

We all have values, but we don’t talk about them. Progressive people in particular, are often more inclined to talk about policy and programs than their personal stories and the values that motivate them. They are characterized by creativity, equality, diversity, and a strong sense of mutual interdependence. It is this "mutuality" more than any other concept that differentiates them from conservative. They believe that individuals must be responsible, not only for themselves but the whole Society. This pair of values is rooted in their commitment to reason, transparency, truth and fairness. Truth includes not only facts but also more generally a stance of honesty and integrity, accountability in government. Their version of truth places a distinct emphasis on telling citizens what they need to hear rather than what they want to hear.

To a great degree, Nigerians are in higher search for whom to trust, whom to believe, based on feelings of similarity or kinship – and also on integral characterized values. A person who displays love, peace, kindness, goodness, humility, patience and who is faithful and endures all things. We need someone who displays self control and considers others more important than self. someone who has good leadership abilities, a good listener who displays integrity, dignity and accountability toward self and toward others. The one who is not judgemental and holds no score of records against others but walks in forgiveness and understanding of others. The one who would lay down his life for others not as a doormat, but as a true leader, all said. There are few people today who fall into this category and if you find one stick to him because he is positive and can be counted as dependable leader.

No sooner had the search put on then the answer arrived, the answer reflects nobody but the Savior for Nigeria, the leadership technocrat, master blaster who can map out strategies for solving economics and security challenges in Nigeria, he is ENGR (DR) RABIU MUSA KWANKWANSO, the able leader who deserved to be voted as Nigerian president. Thus “Galton’s Hereditary Genius theory (1869) concluded that leadership was inherited. In other words, leaders were born, not developed.” This notable conclusion lent great initial support for the notion that leadership is rooted in characteristic of the leader or his bloodline, therefore Leadership is characterized in the bloodline of this man. The followings reasons were gathered from preliminary research from people views, Kwankwaso speeches and web information, discussions among others. The research confirmed Kwankwaso is the people choice, who deserve to be Nigerian President under the flag of All Progressive Congress (APC) because of the following reasons:

1. He is open minded person who doesn’t believed in deceiving masses through the fraudulent use of religion, culture, tribe and tradition for confusing and manipulation of the general public.

2. He is not corrupt as his government proved that while not yet candidly proved to take public funds to his pocket.

3. He is very patient as for so many years he remained silent despite fake allegations against him.

4. He is very discipline and believed every public servant and all staff must be very committed to do their work.

5. He acknowledged and executes any initiatives with urgency without delay e.g. feeding primary school students, free education from primary school to tertiary institution and free maternity services among others.

6. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso opinion on Security funds which he did not collect some certain allowance per siren (outing) anywhere in the country proved honesty and dedication to service to humanity and the state.

7. He is the only one historically that sacrificed his pensions to pensioners and at one time donate part of his salary to government account for the people.

8. Appreciate scholarship he benefited from the state while studying abroad from the state government that motivates him to serve the state tremendously and toward perfection in the same vein award same to more than 1000 students to study abroad.
.
9. He is very educated about the situation and problem that is bedeviling his states and Nigeria from what he knows as civil servant, second term executive governor and what he heard from various stakeholders that visited him for their support to him.
.
10. He is so knowledgeable with vast idea about the work his government prepared and executed. These shows affection and dedication to the work; and during campaign and speeches he effectively mentioned those areas in both remote rural, rural, semi urban and urban area especially mentioning them by name.

11. Presently he is more experienced in work. His position as Minister of Defence, Ambassador, speaker House of representatives and adviser among others exposes him more to the international standard and better ways to serve people developmentally.

12. His working experiences linked him to explore more networks both locally and internationally. He knows many people, governments, groups and individuals who are ready to come and invest as well support the system of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

13. His plans for youths and women are unique. As more youth will be absorbed into various job opportunities through empowerment and financial support.

14. I discovered the categories of people who do not want Dr Rabiu Musa, they include ghost workers, lazy workers, corrupt Nigerians and those claiming 50% oil derivatives among others.

15. He only speaks about what seems SMART that include water, education, agriculture, industrial development, creating more jobs etc and his plans are with sustainability e.g. empowering youth and women among others.

16. He did not generates any loan to the state despite miniature grants received from the federal government.

17. The only governor that went with his cabinet to congratulate the opposition party governor that took over power from him in Nigeria.

18. He always shows Kano is what is in his heart and that has always being shown in his speeches.

19. He pledge reforming the government system by doing what is best at all points.

21. There was transparency of funding sharing between the state and the LGA as they meet and every Chairman knows what he have.

22. He believes everything to be where it should be (order).

23. Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso realized the role of local and international NGOs and pledge to work with them closely for health, agric, human etc wider development.

24. His rural work and development proved great as hundreds of villages were supply with electricity.

The choice is now for Nigerians to exercise wisely during the primary and general election before they lose the enviable leader who possess progressive mind with full spirit for nation building, at the same time people should realize the implication of losing him in Aso rock.

PoliticsRe: My Boko Haram Saga, By Negotiator Stephen Davis by deeobserver209(m):
Acidosis: The point is: lets put sentiments aside. Any accused person should be investigated.
I understand the point you are trying to make and you are right. Anyone could be a sponsor of Boko Haram and as such, if accuse must at least be investigated for the sake of fairness and justice. There should be no secret cows in the matters of investigation and prosecution of terrorist sponsors. That I agree with completely.
However, in this scenario the situation is somehow awkward.

First of all, the Australian was never commissioned nor was he recruited by the Federal Government to act as a Negotiator for the release of Chibok girls. He just set out on his own.

Secondly, after making some few contacts with God knows who, he revealed his findings to the international press on his own accord in Australia. Not Nigeria.
Governments the world over cannot just start investigating an individual based on accusations somebody made on a TV interview without even any form of hard evidence to back it up. If evidence were available against Ihejirika, the right thing he (The Australian) should have done is to approach the Nigerian Government or the Nigerian Security Agencies to present his case. But he did not. This shows that he had nothing to back up his allegations. To accuse someone of terrorism is not a joke! It is a very serious accusation!! Overwhelming evidence is must to open up a case of terrorism against an individual.
Imagine somebody from Belgium granting TV interviews in Spain accusing Gen Colin Powell of the United States for sponsoring IRA rebels of Britain. I tell you no person in the United States will take him seriously. Government business are not done on Media nor pages of Newspapers.

You see why it's easy to dismiss the allegations against Ihejirika. The Australian clearly has no evidence otherwise he would have approach the Nigerian security officials.

As for Alimodu Sherrif, his own case is different because he dealt with Boko Haram group in the past before they transform into monters. Even before Davis made his accusations lots of Nigerians viewed him (Alimodu Sherrif) as a possible Boko Haram member.

Exactly. I pity those people who took this guy seriously. He's very controversial. It's obvious Davis has an ulterior motive. I bet this guy only took advantage of the Chibok saga to lunch himself into Boko Haram activities. I won't be surprise if Davis himself is an undercover agent with dual citizenship supplying arms to Boko Haram under the cover of a Negotiator.
Indeed Most of these western countries are not our friends.

iterator25: Dear nairalanders,

it has come to our attention that western medias such as AFP, AP, Yahoo news, Reuters are taking advantage of our political woes and tribal differences to report bias news regarding the insurgency in the northeastern part of the country. Attacks are now being referred to as 'Take lover' even our military successes against our struggle from terrorism are never highlighted during their reportage. Boko haram feeds on news of their successes to recruit and radicalise more jobless youths in the north there by increasing their man power and attacking more communities.

Now, this thread is not about PDP or APC, its about your country, its about you traveling out of the country and not being discriminated against by foreigners as a potential terrorist, its about you standing up for what's right for the country that made you.

As we all know there's a psychological warfare going on aside what our arm forces are facing in the north. i implore every patriotic Nigerian reading this, arm themselves with their computers and modems and counter this bias reportage by these media.. they have comments functionality on their website right? 'we go bombard am', lets paint their twitter page with green white green .. let them know we're behind our armed forces. This is the least we can do in the comfort of our homes to backup our military.

Abeg una!

PointB: I'm no brother to a tribal bigot and Igbo hater like you, please desist from calling me such. I know deep down in your heart you wish that Igbos will be found culpable in the misfortune that have befallen Borno. But if you do a critical self assessment, you'll be shocked to see that hatred for Igbos/Christians/Infidels that have for so long occupied the mind of folks like you is what is manifesting itself in form of destruction of your cities. What started as effort to rid yourself of Igbo/Christians has been escalated to include moderate muslims, and christian sympathizers.

You can chose to continue in your wicked, evil and devilish imagination, and see it soon enough metamorphose into bombs, and bullets and destruction of your abode, or you can choose to see Igbos/Christians in your communities as fellow Nigerians who are simply trying to make ends meet the way they know best!

Whichever way you choose, one thing should be clear, Igbos as ethnic group, remain for now a solid pillar in the Nigeria tripod, and we shall continue to assert ourselves as such.
Their aim is to cause distraction from ongoing investigations by the SSS. That's all. There's no doubt true sponsors of Boko Haram are about to be exposed. Hence the desperation by Boko Haram apologists to cause confusion by linking Ihejirika and the Igbos to Boko Haram.
The truth is revealed itself soon.

The United States should rather support Nigeria with intelligence gathering and military hardware. I don't like the idea of bringing them in to conduct airstrikes. The Nigerian Army is more than capable of fighting and defeating Boko Haram terrorist.
But I still won't blame the President for allowing the Americans if they come. The only thing I want him to be wary of is the American desire to set up a Military Base in either Niger or Nigeria. This could jeopardize our sovereignty.
God bless Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Since When Did Boko Haram 'attacks' Become Equivalent To A 'take Over' ? by deeobserver209(m): 7:16pm On Sep 07, 2014
darqly: Op, when people like you make such remarks and assertions, one is tempted to ask you the following-
Are lives not lost during BH cowardly raids?
Are innocent and defenceless citizens not rendered refugees?
Is the Nigerian army effectively countering BH attacks?
Do you live in northeastern Nigeria or merely peddle second-hand word of mouth?
Lastly, do you really expect people to say it is well, when it is evidently not well?
What the Op meant is that let the Truth be reported regarding every development and situation about Boko Haram and the fight against terrorism. Nothing more. Nothing less. Just the truth.
A situation where half truths mixed with exaggerated lies are constantly reported only helps to boost Boko terrorist violence morale. Moreover, this lies could also be a deliberate ploy to set Nigerians against the Federal Government.

Imagine a situation where you are in your house relaxing alone in the living room, then all of a sudden two thieves broke down your door on a mission to steal your properties. As soon as the thieves entered you hurriedly rush down to hold them up and stop them from gaining access into the house. Then you call for help, probably your family members. On hearing your cries they hurriedly came over to scene and together, you successfully drove the thieves out of your house.
In the above example, the right thing for a true professional journalist to report is: Thieves tried to gain access into Mr A house but were stopped by Mr A gallantly together with his family members. Don't you agree?
How will you feel if the report was like this: Thieves had over ran and taken over Mr A's house? Do you think the latter reports the true situation the event?

Lots of peeps may not agree with this but I think keshi is a good coach. Yes he has his own flaws, but heck nobody is perfect. Even if he's sacked today the problems rocking the Super Eagles wouldn't go away until we understand the basics of football development. To develop a National Team is a long term investment not a short term deal.
The best way to develop our national teams is by improving our local leagues. Nigerian leagues are poorly run and disorganized. No clear cut calendar schedule and too boring.
Foreign AffairsRe: Go Back To England, Mugabe Tells White Settlers by deeobserver209(m): 9:57am On Sep 07, 2014
In as much as I don't like the expel the white policy of Robert Mugabe, sometimes I tend not to blame him for his actions. Lots of anger resulting from historical developments and perceived injustice against blacks were piled up for many years. Results of which is what we are seeing happening.
A similar thing occurred in the United States as a result of issues regarding land. The indigenous Indians were determined to get rid of whites out of North America. These events happened before and after America declared independence from Britain. It led to serious conflicts between both whites and Indians with lots of atrocities committed by both sides. Juxtaposing this with what is currently happening in Zimbabwe one will discover the historical connection between the two. Land matters as far as the history of man himself is concerned are sacred objects that must be handled seriously and carefully like human life.
The fact that Mugabe is still President of Zimbabwe at this period shows many Zimbabweans support his land policies. The problems are really complex. I only hope that they (both blacks and whites Zimbabweans), and Britain discover an amicable solution soon.

Now that Boko Haram have adopted a new signature, from Attack and Run to Conventional Warfare, it beholds on the Nigerian Armies, the Airforce and Land troops including the SSS to work together to push out these terrorists. Total cooperation and tactical policy formation is what is needed to round up these terrorists and exterminate them.
The army must embark on serious intelligence gathering to identify pockets of terrorist holding out and lingering within the civilian population. This is where the civilian JTF comes in.
The army can't fight Boko Haram alone. They need the people to work together. Massive cooperation between the Army, Land force, SSS and the Civilians will set the final stage for the crushing of Boko Haram.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Takes Over Emirs’ Wives •soldiers Move Wives, Children Out Of Barrack by deeobserver209(m):
I believe northern elites by now realize how foolish they were to shield shield Boko Haram terrorist group right from the unset. Calling them freedom fighters and even advocating for their pardon with a stupid claim that unemployment and poverty led to them committing acts of terrorism was their only excuse. Even so, is poverty an express license to kill and blow up places of worship? Is poverty restricted only in the north? Are other states across Nigeria also not battling with poverty and unemployment?
Ridiculous utterances and comments by these elites is what made Boko Haram blossom into full fledge monsters today.
Their foolishness spread spikes and stumbling blocks against the military to tackle Boko Haram headlong.
The moronic latter to governors by Murtala Nyako accusing GEJ of genocide is a classic example. Wonder how he's feeling now?
It beats my imagination how a sane human being who claim to be governor would have the audacity to accuse GEJ of genocide in the face of ongoing quest to vanquish Boko Haram.
How can the military come all out to fight these terrorists to full scale when negative elements in the form of NEF continue to babble the public with unwarranted allegations against the military, threatening to report a chief of Army Staff for acts of genocide? What about the atrocities and despicable evils and crimes committed by Boko Haram terrorist over the years? Are they not classic act of genocide too? What about families that were wiped out of existence? What about worshipers that war blown up and killed right inside their places of worship? What about hundreds of unborn babies that were hacked to death with cutlass and daggers? What about little kids and school children whose lives were cut short by these demonic group? Are these crimes not act of genocide? Are these crimes not committed by Boko Haram? I guess the northern leaders and elders were too blind to see that. Why would they when they are part of Boko Haram themselves.
The hypocrisy of northern elders towards Boko Haram is what led north east to this present situation, the level of Somalia.
It's no news that Boko Haram terrorist today not only attacks defenceless citizens. They now attack emirs and even ransacking their own palaces. Is that not a disgrace? Maybe these are not crimes too. Shame on Northern leaders!
NEF better wake up and realize the reality of the situation they are in today. They breed a monster. Now the monters are coming for them.

I have come to realise that I have been deceived all along with the tag name Progressives etc

APC is a fraudulent party and the reality is that we Nigerians don't yet have an opposition because APC is just made up of past PDP members claiming they are progressives now they have joined the Tinubu empire.

Who is deceiving who here.

GEJ is actually doing his best although he has some short comings which still annoys me but all in all no one is perfect only God. I hope APC Progressives understand that.

Attacking the president's every decision is not the solution unless you just want power rather than serve. I expect APC to provide solutions to the problems facing this country, afterall they are all in service not power hungry.

Lastly, the revenue Lagos gets to the level of development and double taxation is just appalling. The level of corruption in Lagos is so much, it has actually indebted Lagos state.

Now APC defence will be " America and othr advance countries also have huge debts" but I tell them to compare the level of development, population size, Land mass compare to a small state like Lagos.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Can’t Stand Cameroon But Operate In Nigeria Without Fear – US by deeobserver209(m):
Nigeria must not allow or sign any bilateral defence agreement that could jeopardize our sovereignty with the United States. The US has been longing to set up military base across strategic positions south of the Sahara to further their quest of setting up military bases across the world in the name of fight against global terrorism. Their refusal to share intelligence with the Nigerian military on movements and supplies of arms to Boko Haram terrorist is a clear indication that they want security to deteriorate in the north east, so as to warrant the need for the US to set up military bases in the country. That has been their major aim.
The day the United States set up a Military Base in this country that would be the end of Nigeria. That must never happen! If they say Cameroonian army is better than the Nigerian Army because of our stubbornness to them fine. That's their business. But one thing we must not forget is this: An enemy within is more deadlier than an enemy outside.
(In other news, we hear that Boko Haram have taken over bama. It's not true. Fighting is still on going in the town however the terrorists are no where near overuning it let alone controlling it.)
