I always have expected an increase, but 60 seconds is too long. Maybe 30 seconds, not 60. It will soon turn to Facebook, with people posting boring stuff.

I am sorrry about the way i passed my message i wasnt generalising, there is no perfect person out there.

And for my aunt none of thoses stuff happened to her she got to know a lot about yoruba people because she has worked with them and have few of them as friends, the funny thing is when she ask her friends why there do that at times to people they just laugh over it they dont even deny it.

I on the other hand i had my primary, secondary and University in lagos so when my aunt was explaining to me i was able to relate, i dont think most yorubas do that out of hate i think its just a normal thing for them.
Well, since it is from experience, no problem. Lagos is filled with a lot of frustrated people. So, dont blame them, it could be down to frustration. i once had a Calabar woman( origin deduced from her english) shout at me for walking (according to her) too slowly on the streets of Mushin. She kept on rambling even after she had "run" past me. That was pure frustration.

@op i think you need to mind your business what the Vp's wife decides to do is her business though am a litlle disappointed but its her life not mine.

My aunt has made me realize one thing about the Yorubas is that they are very pretenious and that while they are greeting u on the outside they are insulting you in their mind.
You need to see the way my aunt described them which is very true because i have witnessed it happen to someone, a yoruba person will greet and hail you and immediately you turn your back call you oloriburuku and all sorts of names.
If you would be rational, you'd question your aunt's personality and behaviour. Why does every yoruba person she knows, does that to her? How many yoruba people does she know? How many yoruba people do you know?

i am a rational being, i wouldn't generalise that every igbo person kicks their parents in the morning to wake them up, just because someone i know has said it.

i wouldn't say every woman from Benin is a prostitute, just because i have had interactions with just 2,and the exhibited traits of prostitutes. Morale of my story, stop the generalisation. Thanks

beautiful house...but the problem with foreign houses is the amount it takes to maintain it monthly.24/7 electricity (unlike naija), pool maintenance, series of taxes.e.t.c. That can drain the pocket.

i wish this video would be follwed up. This is no way to treat an innocent civilian. Then again, this is Nigeria, we all would have forgotten about it by tomorrow, after reading toyin aimakhu's reply to a fan or tonto dikeh's recent pictures. Sad!

It is wrong to generalise. i did my B.sc and M.sc in the university of ibadan, and I can tell you that the most loved and part of the most efficient lecturers in my department were the women.

it probably is just the ones in your department or you naturally dont like taking orders from women. my friend, roommate and coursemate didnt like these female lecturers, for the reason above.

Whoa! That must have been awkward. The first thing I do when I meet a girl online is to ask her age. I once fell into this situation you described and never plan to do so again. But 10 years difference is not so much of a big deal if you are 35 and she is 25.
Very Awkward!!!
Asking didn't seem appropraite to me or maybe i just never bothered. She always spoke really maturely, that must have helped me assume she was old enough. i don't think she was 18. below 18 is always a no for me.
RomanceRe: Ever Regretted Meeting Someone From Social Network? Tell Your Story by deeplow: 9:23am On Jan 11, 2016
well, mine was kinda awkward. Fine girl, fine pictures... we exchanged contacts. Started talking and getting close. i never really asked for us to meet, she initiated it after a while. So, we decided to meet.

Never knew the girl was as young as she turned out to be, she never knew i was as old as i turned out to be. When we met, she was too uncomfortable to speak, hardly could look me in the eyes. i was too ashamed to start conversations too, didnt even know what to start asking her. The age difference from my guess was like 10.

The torture was that, i had ordered food before she arrived(she came a bit late and i was hungry), the food was delicious, i couldn't just leave it to waste. We sat quietly through my meal, got up as i finished, led her straight to my car and i drove her back to school. we talked for only 2 minutes out of the 20 minutes it took to get to her school.

As soon as she alighted, i deleted her number... i am sure she deleted mine right at the restaurant. There hasn't been any form of communication since.
InvestmentRe: just question by deeplow: 9:00am On Jan 11, 2016
As nice as this is, it doesn't always determine a man's love and faithfulness. An unfaithful man will always be an unfaithful man, regardless of the woman's commendable attitudes. it takes a man to be faithful, not the person he is married to/dating.

Plus, this puts too much burden on the woman. i am no feminist, but i believe it is also a man's duty to do all these things, to further solidify a woman's love for him.

love is no cul-de-sac, it is a two-way street.

Hello bro! cheesy

Pls can you tell us about the state?

Considering:
*Cost of living
*Camp life
*General lifestyle of the people and
*availabilty of opportunitieshuh

Thanks in anticipation.
served in osogbo, osun state in 2011. it is one of the best places to serve. got a room in a four bedroom flat, compound big enough for 8 cars, access to well water, stable electricity, serene environment for just 30,000 per annum.(dada estate, one of the most popular pkaces in osogbo).

camp life is the same everywhere, you choose how you want to enjoy it. mami market in every state is almost the same, they sell the same things. just fill your pocket up if you are the partying type, and you are good to go.

Cost of living in osogbo is the lowest out of about 8 states that I have been to. with 3,000 naira, you can comfortably feed yourself for a week. If osogbo as the state capital could be that cheap, imagine the other parts of the state.

The people are really nice. they treat corpers like mini-gods. just be a level-headed person, and I can bet you won't want to leave when you are done with NYSC.

As for opportunities, there are not a lot of that. Just be hopeful and try to talk to as many people as you can, something might come up.

Age 27 is not a kid anymore. If he still lives under his father's roof, he should move out asap. There is no need quitting the job. All he has to do is be a MAN and stop letting the Father be the Okonjo Iweala of his economy.

His mates are already married with kids, he should get himself ready for that with his salary.
EducationRe: Should He Study Economics Or Estate Management by deeplow: 8:45am On Mar 24, 2015
Economics, anywhere, is a tough course. If he is trying to drop it because of that, let him drop it. It is better to graduate with a good grade in a shitty course, than graduate with a shitty grade in a good course. On the larger scale, Economics is a better appreciated course. Higher job opportunities after school.

If he were my brother, I'd encourage him to take eco, if I am sure he is brilliant enough. Bottom line is, he should do what he wants to do, you won't go to school with him.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Knocks Jonathan Again: Says Nigerians Will Vote For Change by deeplow: 2:23pm On Mar 16, 2015
Obasanjo knows the truth. Majority of Nigerians already know the truth. The doubtful few are coming to realization. Jonathan has failed. I supported him in 2011, I regret that. I am voting for buhari now, I hope I don't regret.

If buhari doesn't make us really realise what we missed under Jonathan's weak and corrupt administration, we will sweep him out with his APC broom. For now, it is

Buhari for President.

I am pro APC, but shame on Aregbesola and Ajimobi of Osun and Oyo states respectively. I know for sure that teachers in Oyo state have not been paid in 2015. The worst part is, they have been threatened with sack, if they were to contemplate any form of public protest.

Imagine a situation where husband and wife are teachers, have 3 kids to take care of, how are they to survive?

God help us in this country.

blind post, yet nollywood is a monopoly of Igbo culture.

Stop being a saddist.
Calculia:
Let me guess, u are a yoruba giving igbos advise again, on wat is in their interest? It is in igbo interest to watch yoruba and hausa channel?
Who invented Nollywood? Who invented Nigeria movie culture? Do u know the level of demand for Nollywood to revert back to igbo film production as opposed to the English film they embark on for an all inclusive viewing? Please save your advice for your tribe, we did not ask for them.
Nobody is denying the fact that igbos are MAJOR in nollywood. If you are satisfied with being the boss in English movies, why clamour for a strictly Igbo channel?

I geef up on you guys

It isn't the fault of the givers, it is of the takers. The bible supports tithe (to the best of my knowledge) and whatever worthy donations to the cause of the Lord. I just don't often hear enough preachings, as to how the Lord has directed the pastors to "use" these tithes and donations.

if the money they get is well spent on the poor and betterment of the people, it wouldnt be an issue.

But what do I know? Touch not my annointed, they say.
TV/MoviesRe: Television Politics: Five Years Later DSTV Is Still Yet To Launch Igbo Channel by deeplow: 10:21am On Mar 08, 2015
No disrespect to the igbos. I love igbos. Truth be told, there aren't enough content to air. There is an igbo channel on startimes, and they barely have anything interesting to put on, and it is characterised by repititions. If dstv were to eventually open an Ndigbo channel, I am sure even igbos will get bored after a while.

Popular Igbo Nollywood actors have to forget all the pure English movies they act in. Promote their culture to the world. Most Indian actors speak good English, but they still stick to their language in movies, and theybare respected everywhere. Every week, at least 15 yoruba movies are released, Even though half of them are nonsense, it still gives room for options. Igbos should release as many as possible too.

I would be glad, if they can work on this, and produce plenty many Igbo movies. Maybe from there, I will learn enough Igbo to woo Chinweizu(my life long crush).

“Globally, it is more challenging for a president to secure a second term than the first tenure because people get disappointed when their expectations are not quickly met by those they voted for"

Even Jonathan acknowledges the fact that he failed to fulfill his countless campaign promises. I wonder why his supporters defend him blindly.

Nigerians have to be wise.

EducationRe: Opinion: 8 Reasons Why HND Is Superior To Bsc by deeplow: 11:35pm On Jan 03, 2015
I wont even argue with anything you have written, but I saw a polytechnic graduate at a police station in Lagos today. She wrote a statement, and the I.P.O, who is an ordinary primary school leaving certificate holder, told her she wrote nonsense. She couldn't spell mother, couldn't spell simple english words. I was embarrassed.

Also, I have been to many polytechnics and interacted with some of them. While I agree that there are brilliant polytechnic students, I believe they make up just about 15 percent of the total population of the school.

if you assemble 20 students( uni and poly), you dont have to spend more than 5 minutes with them before you can single out the polytechnic students. From the way they dress, speak, behave. e.t.c . Anyway, just had to get that off my chest. My advice to anybody seeking admission, try to get a University Education at all cost.
